The room had a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom and a very large bed. The pool was closed during the National Day holiday, but the rooftop was very comfortable.
However, it's extremely important to note: the indoor and outdoor AC units were incredibly loud. I couldn't sleep at night because of the noise. I had an early flight the next day and needed to rest, but I couldn't get any proper sleep. Even earplugs didn't help at all. I finally had to turn off the AC to get some quiet. Those who are light sleepers should definitely avoid this place.

Check out this new hotel near the airport … very clean and spacious with living area and kitchenette… absolute security (protected by the Royal Air Force) 😂 only no shopping or 7/11 nearby (it seems)
8mins to Nimman area.
Very peaceful and serene … overlooking the golf course ⛳️!

I recently stayed at The Residence Hotel in Chiang Mai, and it was a pleasant experience overall, especially for a three-star establishment. Here's a breakdown of my thoughts:
The hotel is conveniently located near some of Chiang Mai's main attractions, including the Night Bazaar and the Old City. It’s tucked away in a quieter part of town, which makes it ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle while still being close to the action. Local shops and restaurants are within walking distance, which adds to its charm.
The rooms are clean and functional, though slightly outdated. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities provided were adequate—air conditioning, a mini-fridge, and complimentary bottled water. However, the décor could use a modern touch, and the bathroom, while clean, showed signs of wear. The Wi-Fi was reliable only in the room, which was a little uncomfortable to use lobby area to work or search the internet.
some staffs were not friendly due to the languages, most language uses are Thai. While the service wasn’t luxurious, it was warm and genuine, which added to the overall experience.
There’s also a simple breakfast available, which, while not extensive, featured fresh fruits, toast, and a few local dishes.
For the price, The Residence Hotel provides excellent value. It’s not a luxury stay, but it offers everything a traveler might need for a comfortable visit to Chiang Mai. The combination of its location, affordability, and lack friendly service makes it a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers.
The Residence Hotel is a good option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly and well-located place to stay in Chiang Mai. While it may not have the frills of higher-end accommodations, its clean rooms, lack of welcoming staff, and convenience make it worth considering for your next trip.
Would recommend for solo travelers and couples looking for a simple yet comfortable base to explore Chiang Mai!

Bed is a queen size bed. So it was a little too cozy for me and my dad to sleep together. Nevertheless, the bed is comfy, a little bit on the hard side compared to other hotels, but I still consider it soft. I was there for 2 nights, and during the second day the towels were changed and water bottles were refilled. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel looks nice from outside but the room was fairly basic although large size with ok shower room / toilet.
Located opposite Central Airport plaza which was very good for shopping and eating also a 5 min walk to a night food market which was very nice .
Breakfast room was nice with mostly Chinese food . It was ok but replacement of food was slow .
Overall , I would say it was ok .

Very simple hotel, ideal for one night if you need to be near the airport. It’s far from the main city attractions, and there is a church nearby that is a bit noisy. But worth the price.

It's kind of like an Airbnb room that there was no one to check you in and you had to check in by yourself. And if you didn't have a Thai phone card like me, you felt helpless when you need to contact the hotel because they only offered Thai contact numbers but no on-line contact like whatsapp or whatsoever.
There were ants, moth in the room and a bug on the bed.
The wifi was really weak. I could not detect any wifi inside the room. In order to get connected, I needed to open my room door and stood there. Or else I got out of the room and stayed in the corrido.
Fair to say, the room was decently decorated and provided everything you needed in a house. There was a sink and basic utensils.
The best thing of this condo was that it is next to the Central Airport Plaza. The shopping mall even provides free Airport shuttle. However it may be difficult to find the exit to get on the shuttle bus.
The condo is only 9 minutes car ride or 20 minutes walk from the Airport. Since I could not find the place to get on the free shuttle provided by the mall, I eventually walked to the airport. Mid-way to the airport a friendly Thai driver even offered me a lift to the airport. Thanks to friendly Thai people.

GGuest UserI had to catch a morning flight to Bangkok, so I looked for a place to stay near the airport and ended up staying here. It was cheap, the room was large and clean, and although I didn't use it, there was a bathtub in the bathroom and the hot water came out well.

GGuest UserClean, simple, affordable accommodation located a short drive from the old town.
Experienced some issues with the WiFi whilst working online, but was generally satisfactory.
Breakfast buffet is somewhat limited, offering a basic but decent choice selection, though lacked variety for a longer stay.
Staff were incredibly polite and helpful.
Motorbikes are available for rent from the front desk, with free drop-off and pick-up service.
Overall, a solid option for budget-conscious travellers looking for convenience and comfort, with a few areas that could be improved for a longer or more work-focused stay.

LLorena CThis is a lovely hotel and resort. Gorgeous bathroom, one bedroom apartment style with a few furnishings if you want to cook. The TV only has one English Channel and you can not connect your apps, although the remote looks like you can. They have a spa and 2 restaurants, along with a breakfast buffet. It is on a major street behind a privacy wall; but that means there is not much to do if you want to walk to learn the area. Excellent and courteous staff, with some English but they displayed a dedication to high quality service.

Very Good
GGuest UserWas pleasantly surprised of the room quality and cleanliness. For that i marked all with 5 stars. Although one minor point not related to the room but more to the swimming pool area. Once you get wet feet the walk area is super slippery. Its dangerous when walking barefoot. So at all times use slippers to walk. I fell with my son on the ground due to this. Luckily no serious injuries.

KKerry & TashHotel was quite far away from the centre area of Mai, so we often had to use Grab for a taxi. They did have bicycles to use though. We asked the hotel if we could hire scooters or motorbikes. They tried to ring round for us but we didn’t get them in the end.
Breakfast was a set meal. There was a lot of food but we weren’t given a choice. Also, we had to tell them in advance the day before, what time we wanted breakfast which was a little bit annoying.
The hotel itself is beautiful and right on the river. The gardens and pool area were very well kept and peaceful. It says it’s a resort but I wouldn’t class it as that. It’s small, no restaurant/bar area and no gym/spa.
The girls on reception had limited English but tried very hard and were as helpful as possible.

北北區The hotel front desk and waiters are very polite, the accommodation environment is quiet, but it is a bit far to go out to the scenic spots, it is most suitable for self-driving tours, it is a good place for you to rest, and I will definitely stay again next time I come to Chiang Mai

WWenicihua4.5km to/from airport, 9km from/to bus terminal 3.
I’d say it’s not a walk distance to Thaphae Gate but still in good location. Warm hospitality by the old man I met on the reception desk (not sure if he is the owner or the manager). For affordable rate, I got spacious room, spacious outdoor area (for smoking), spacious bathroom with bathtub (all rooms are provided). Clean, peaceful, standard amenities but no dental kit, hairdryer, 2 bathrobe provided, extra pillow and safety box are provided as well.
