The hotel helps with early check-in. Since it was busy, the room was not given early, but other facilities were allowed.

When we arrived it looked as beautiful as the photos. When we got to the check In desk we was told that only 2 out of 4 of our rooms was available and the other two would be ready the next day, as they had overbooked! My daughter & her partner had to share a family room with her brothers who are also in their 20s. We was then told there was a late night buffet for guests who arrive late in the night, when we had walked down to the restaurant & we had found it was left over hot food that’s was now cold from dinner service which had not been covered and had flies buzzing around them. We had to leave the hotel to Find a restaurant so we could eat. Throughout our first full day we found that this hotel is not Intrested in English families and refuse to help with even the slightest request, I had asked if we could join two dinner tables together so my family would be together and was refused, seconds later a German family had asked for the same thing and the waiters in the restaurant done it for them instantly, we was all given paper place mats on our tables but the German and Russian families tables were Always fully dressed with everything waiting for them. As far a food it’s manageable but ends up being the same food throughout the whole week, we all preferred the 12:00 snack bar as the food was a lot better than the restaurant itself. If you would like a sun bed by the pool I would strongly advice you to be out of your rooms with your towels at 06:00am as your unable to get them if you leave it until later in the day even though we are all told we cannot reserve sun beds until 08:00am this applies for the private beach also. If your looking for cocktails your best to go out of the hotel as my family throughout the whole week had watched bartenders pour our half of the spirit bottles and top them back off with tap water, my son had pointed this out and told the barman he would like a fresh bottle opened as he didn’t want to drink the water from the taps, the barman then became extremely rude and refused to serve him, when this was brought up to the hotel manager who was normally quite polite and helpful he very rudely and abruptly shushed my son and waved him away. We then had noticed Germans and Russians who had asked for an alcoholic drink was being served from different alcohol bottles that were hidden out of sight from the bar. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody and I certainly wouldn’t be returning.

This hotel is not suitable for families with young/small children. Hardly no facilities for such clientele. The quality of guest in this hotel define the quality and experience of this hotel. Mainly, old and fat Germans. Everyone smokes literally everywhere. Not able to walk a floor but waiting for lifts that are way too few for such a big hotel. So waiting for a lift with a stroller took sometimes 10 minutes. Monotonous, unhealthy, poor quality of food. Sometimes dirty! High chairs are dirty and in terrible condition. No animations for little kids unless these are the loud ones that are played till late when I put my son to bed at 8pm. The list goes on.. With or without a child I would not return to this hotel.

I would say it’s more of a 3-4* hotel however, we had a fantastic family holiday! Very pleased… Food was exceptional!… The ice- cream is the best I’ve ever tried abroad… The lunch bar at the beach is great. Burgers & fries are delicious. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Staff were so friendly & welcoming. Aynur the staff member at the beach bar & Turqaan the maker of the traditional dish called Guzlemer at the beach were our favourite. Highly recommend the mixed tour at the hotel, Ishaaq (I think that’s what his name is) the hotel tour guide was genuine and fair. We had an amazing time at the mixed tour too. Malls, buses, taxis and the beach are all nearby. The bag seller & clothes seller within the hotel are the most genuine sellers. Enjoy your holiday! Well worth it!

It started when we arrived. The entrance was beautiful, but once towards our room it all quickly became less. In our room it was not too loud due to a faulty air conditioner and after a long time of complaining we luckily got another room. So everyone happy, our holiday could begin. When we opened the door of our "new" room it was nice and cool but...... That was the only thing!!!! Where shall I even begin -broken frames -broken doors - leaking air conditioners - defective toilet -cockroaches - defective toilet roll holder And then this is just our room!! After complaining again at the reception, we got the answer that actually every room of Sultan of Side is like that and that we should go to the tour operator with our complaints. I find this really incomprehensible and outrageous that this is being sold as a 5 star resort. I think 2 stars is more appropriate!!!!!

I have travelled to Turkey many times before and always had a great time. However, this hotel it shouldn't be rated a 5*. I stayed here for 9 nights. I do not like to write complains however, this hotel is full of Germans who are extremely rude and have no manners. There aren't that many British tourists nor do the employees speak any English what's so ever. We were the only English family there, as most of them were Polish, Russians etc, The Bazaar on the ground floor (-2floor) they all try to scam you of money. There is a photography shop situated in the Bazaar hotel ( floor -2), be wary of the Kurdish guy who will try to approach you to take pictures. He kept pestering me which led to an argument which was extremely unprofessional. To add to that, he will want you to pay with GBP so that he makes extra money, when you're entitled to pay with Turkish Lira. On the floor -3 there is a shop called 'Vitamin Bar' they scammed me and my mother, when we let the manager know we had come to find the most employees are related to the 'ZEUS SHISHA BAR' down the road. It seemed dodgy as hell. Moreover, on a positive note the rooms were cleaned every morning. Ahmet the manager was a friendly guy, who did approach me here and there to check if we were okay.

After reading some reviews I didn’t know what to expect hence I thought I’d write a review about my experience. The hotel was situated in a great location and was close to all shops and beach was like a 10m walk which was private. The hotel food and service was fantastic only thing I would say is that the rooms could do with a revamp other then that I can’t complain would book again family of 5 from Birmingham UK
