The Dome Garden was wonderful. We took five families there over the May Bank Holiday, with kids aged from 5-16. We all had a blast and would highly recommend. The food was incredible, including a very memorable pizza making session (including dough tossing). Even with drizzle on one day, the kids were able to come up with games and adventures around the ground. Breakfasts were epic - cereal, fry-ups and lots of tea and coffee. The domes were snug (once you got the fire going) and great fun. Loads to do nearby - we went canoeing/paddleboarding on the Wye; and for cycle rides, hiring all the bikes on a trail that worked for all of us. Brilliant adventure and super-welcoming hosts.

My husband and I stayed here as a belated anniversary trip. We stayed in the coal store and what an amazing room! The bathroom was like nothing we have ever seen and the bath was so unique I had to add in “have a bath” to our itinerary! The owners could not do enough they were so lovely and the buffet breakfast was a lovely surprise that we hadn’t realised was included! I have never felt the need to write a review before but I felt like this place and the owners fully deserved the time and effort to write this one!

Oh my gosh what a beautiful sleep I had in the most comfiest bed ever. Helen was so welcoming and friendly towards us from the beginning of our stay up until the very end. And her two dogs were just the cutest. The place is absolutely stunning and beautiful decor inside the whole place was fabulous. I was in awe when I was looking around. Will definitely be back here for a few extra days next time. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness Helen. 10/10 rating highly recommended.

Came for a birthday getaway treat for two nights, stayed in the coal room , what a delight! From the comfortable double bed to the quirky bathroom might I add a superb double bath aswell as a shower. On arrival the lovely Helen showed us around and gave some advice on were to eat out.... again the owners were a delight! Would definitely return to try another room or even one of the domes that are situated in the gardens , some building work being done at side of property was told they are in progress of building a treehouse, looks awesome. This place is right next to paths leading into some lovely walks ( watch out for the wild boars) I was disappointed to not see any but they are there! Overall a lovely peaceful stay can't wait to return in the summer . Complimentary light breakfast available also yummy scrambled eggs 🥚

Booked as pictures looked nice on this website. Arrived and nothing like the pictures. We had to leave and find another place to stay.

Stayed with friends in the bamboo dome and the lodge rooms. We loved it. Lovely hosts who couldn’t be more helpful. The more adventurous among us stayed in a dome and lit our fire and were cosy and warm. Those in the lodge rooms were comfy and loved each room with their different a**ospheres. Fantastic location, you walk out of the door and straight into the Forest of Dean. The cyclists among us had the Verderer’s Trail a 3 minute cycle away. The rest of us came to walk in the Brecon Beacons just an hour’s drive away. Highly recommend!

We had an awesome stay at the Dome Garden last summer. Johnny and John are some of the best hosts we've ever met, and the dome was lovely. A few favourites! - Walking in the woods in the morning with our two young children and the dog. - Watching the stars at night through the ceiling. - Sitting around the fire in the evenings, roasting marshmallows. - Mountain biking is right around the corner. A few negatives: - This place is truly in the middle of nowhere, which is great for switching off, but phone service is not great (there is one spot where you can get 4G) - The mountain bike centre is about 30 minute walk through the woods, or a 10 minute drive. Being adventurous, we decided to walk and went the wrong way, so it took us a little longer to find! Overall, one of the best stays we've had sine pre-covid (and the beds were some of the most comfy I've ever had the delight of sleeping in).

Amazing nights stay in the forest. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful and we spent our day walking in the forest and then cam back to a cost fire in the evening. A real out of the way spot that feels like you've discovered something new. We'll be back.
