Depite reading some fabulous reviews prior to booking, we were disappointed overall with our stay. We travel a lot, particularly in the Cotswolds and know of many beautiful little inns with rooms. This is sadly not one that we can recommend, however our evening meal T-bone steak on the Valentines menu was excellent. The bar area is small with little seating in the evening and a limited menu. Great if you love a choice of 6/7 burgers, but restrictive if you don't. The photos tell some of the story of Room 3. A bland and tired affair with cracked wall plaster, cables hanging down and tea cups on the dirty side panel, alongside the bin. A filthy loo brush on full view in the bathroom and the noisiest floorboards in Cirencester above, amplifying every move of our fellow residents into the small hours. Breakfast was a serious let down on the meat front. One tiny ***** of streaky bacon and a fatty sausage that deployed its liquid fat payload over my top at the first stab of the knife. You can easily find a better experience in the Cotswolds, so you guessed it, we won't be going back.
