Courtyard by Marriott Cologne

Hotel location is good about 10 to 15 min walk from Köln Hbf station on mostly flat ground. Room was spacious with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion provided. Tea & coffee and kettle also provided. But only 1carton (500ml) of water provided daily for two people which I feel was too little and no fridge in the room. Also bed and pillow was too soft with no support for neck and back.. Overall stay was pleasant

This hotel has a great location—it’s within walking distance of the train station, and the price is reasonable. Tips: Purchase breakfast from the reception while you arrive the hotel is cheaper than purchase a room with breakfast here.

A 15 minutes walk from Cologne Central Station, not too near from the station but is walkable. Nearby have a lot of shops, including supermarkets, restaurants. Friendly staff, and quite a clean room with amenities.

Location is perfect for traveling on the train, the room was clean and nice. If you want any disposable items, you need to ask for them on the reception, also extra 50 euros for a deposit from credit card. At night the doors are closed and the front desks are empty, so you need to use your card to enter the building. Feels a little bit overpriced for such room, but in general it’s not bad

The hotel is very new; staff are nice and helpful. The breakfast is highly recommended- much better than the one we had in Frankfurt from a similar hotel.

Early check in for Marriot Bonvoy member. We were given a handicapped room which is quite “empty” and thus not feel so luxurious. Probably it was the only room available at that time. Affected by the fire alarm which was not so pleasant.

Excellent service by Kim, just a year in the Marriott chain, but I feel destined to be a manager one day. We had a problem at check in as I had registered in haste and used my son's name instead. She took it upon herself to look over the registration, saw that it was my credit card that was used and made the decision to check me in without any fuss. In other hotels, I had stayed at, a mistake like this would have involved a supervisor and then the hotel manager! Kudos Kim! There was some work being done as they renovate the hotel. This should be highlighted prior to booking as well as the fact the fitness center was also under renovation until the end of August. The air conditioning was great and very welcome especially during a heat wave. The carpeting and everything else was new. The room was a little dusty,, ice container and the water kettle could use a thorough cleaning. Overall, I was impressed with the service and would recommend this hotel to the public.
