Plantation Resort at Rainbow

We have stayed at the Plantation Resort at Rainbow on a few occasions now, always on the top floor with a balcony. This offers a great ocean view with nice sea breezes. The location is fantastic; you can walk to shops, restaurants, the beach, sand dunes, and the surf club. Additionally, it's a short drive to Carlo Sandblow and Inskip Point

We have stayed here before and loved it. This time we booked online and didn’t realise it wasn’t with the hotel. It was like an AirBnb room. The check in process is done through the Real Estate across the road and not the resort. We arrived on a Sunday so there wasn’t any staff at the agency. The staff at the resort wanted nothing to do with any questions we had such as parking queries and where our actual room was located. The lady at reception was quite defensive and said it’s nothing to do with them and kept saying she couldn’t help us as the owners decided to branch off and not be part of the resort. There were nail clippings on the balcony…gross. No spare toilet paper in the ensuite and half a roll left. Empty rolls and paper left in the cupboard above the toilet. No dishcloth to clean the dishes although they give you a tea towel and some detergent. Three tissues in the tissue box. This room was a little tired and needs some maintenance - towel hooks hanging off the wall, freezer drawer broken so hard to open/shut etc. Mostly little things but when you’re paying a higher price you expect these things to be sorted. The pool loungers at the main pool are gross. They look filthy and need replacing. A lot of these issues are minor but collectively they make it annoying.

Very nice clean unit . Easy walking to shops and close to all the great things Rainbow Beach offers .

I stayed in the penthouse 204. I rang initially to see what coffee facilities were in the room and she said she didn't know. She said there might be a plunger. I asked what size and she said she didn't know. Got to the place and it was immaculate inside but the outside was really dirty. The couch chairs were pretty outdated...those pleather single seat chairs plus a 2 seater. I wasn't put off by any of this really it wasn't until I went to use the spa bath that I got disappointed. I was so excited to have a soak. I got in and it didn't work. I tried holding the button down, looked for a switch on the wall, looked for an after hours number...nothing. I told the receptionist when I checked out and she said there was an after hours number at reception. That really wasn't any use to me at the time and I wouldn't have known that. I asked if there could be any compensation for that and she said no there was nothing she could do and to send an email. I sent the email and I never heard back. I was really disappointed as it was quite pricey and I booked it mainly for a luxury experience....I.e the spa. Really disappointed...

Fabulous place to celebrate my daughter 21st birthday 🎂 we had 4 apar**ents and 18 guest. Lots to do around Rainbow 🌈 Beach 🏝️ and apar**ents were very spacious and had everything we needed. Roof top deck was awesome 🤩

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is in an excellent location and staff are very friendly and efficient. We were upgraded from 1 bedroom ground floor apar**ent to a 3 bedroom one so there was loads of room. The kitchen is very well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The whole unit was very clean. I do have a problem with the bathroom, there is a spa bath that opens into the bedroom, if that is what you want, with louvred doors. The shower is spacious and the toilet is behind a glass door. The whole room is very “echoey”. There is a lack of places to hang towels and the only power point is right under the basin (took a while to locate it). Even with the bathroom, would definitely stay here again.

PERFECT Location! We had an apar**ent facing the beach and were able to see the Whales breaching from our balcony. Walking distance to Everything, Lovely and clean, plenty of pots and pans to cook for yourself if you wanted, Comfy Beds, spacious layout, just Brilliant!

Plantation at Rainbow is amazing. Have stayed here lots of times and it’s always nice. The staff are lovely and the beach is 3min walk. Located in The heart of Rainbow beach it’s a great place to stay

Had a lovely stay at plantation. Perfect views, beds super comfy, everything needed for self catering. Spacious apar**ent. Clean pool area. Will definitely return. Only thing was lighting in bathroom really subtle and voices Carry when on balcony to next door. Frosted glass or something between apar**ents on balconies would maybe help. But that’s nothing that would defer me from staying there again. Great place for walking everywhere.
