This facility is outside of the downtown area and on the east end. It is convenient to the U of MN Duluth and not far from the Glensheen Mansion. It is a very good value for the money, and more economical than other facilities in Duluth. Personnel are respectful, courteous and friendly. The breakfast is only so-so during the week, but really good on the weekends. The building is older but is well maintained and clean, and half the rooms have a great view of Lake Superior.

This has always been our go to place of stay when traveling to Duluth. We like being far enough away from the hustle and bustle but still withen walking distance to coffee shop, lake walk etc. We don't look for fancy just a nice, comfortable place to rest our heads at night..

The hotel is old and dirty. I was afraid to take my shoes off. It needs to be renovated. Also, when I was gone at an evening event, my room was given to another customer who entered my room. Not happy about that! I only found out when my key didn't work when I returned and had to go to the front desk. I will never stay there again.

Breakfast left something to be desired. No waffle batter or syrup left at 9:00 a.m. and breakfast ran until 10:00 a.m.

Motel was clean and in a safe place. The room needed work. The bathroom door made a loud bang each time opened. The toilet ran when not in use. The heater in the room didn’t work properly. Beds were clean and comfortable, though.

Not sure where to begin. October rate hike over $300 for 1 night. Carpet was frayed & tattered at the tile transition. Sink had no airator screen so when you turned the water on it blasted out all over the place. Remote control for the TV half worked. The toilet paper holder kept falling apart. Payed extra for lake view & windows were so dirty you had to open to see out clearly. Found an eye contact on floor so room was cleaned well.. Outside steps leading to 3rd floor looked unsafe to walk on. Metal structure rusted & completely detaching from step riser. Place should be condemned!
