In another city this hotel might have rated a three star, but considering the incredibly difficult circumstances the hospitality trade in Kurdish Iraq is functioning in, this place merits a four star review. The staff at reception were friendly though not terribly well-informed. Everything in the hotel was clean, and it was quiet enough. Breakfast was fine, only one waiter would ask every morning if we wanted an omelet or similar, but if you asked someone else, you could get it. Buffet was extensive. Great shower, firm bed, teamaking facilities, plenty of bottled water, and terrific pool. Ten minutes from the old centre, five minutes from a mall, and ten minutes to a great street with restaurants. My only minor comment is that, as I stayed over a week for work, I couldn't iron my clothes myself. It's very rare not to have a iron in the room.
