I've been wanting to come here for years, and we finally made it....and now we can't wait to return. Yes, the views are stunning. Yes, the restoration of the medieval building is authentic, tasteful and beautiful....but the real star is the spirit of the initiative behind Borgodifiume and its affiliated restaurant, Il Convivio. Embodied in this place are love and respect for tradition and the people of this place, the environment and nature's bounty. The powerhouse Maria Teresa manages the place and cares for the guests like an archetypal earth mother. It was a special privilege to meet the owner and visionary behind Borgodifiume, Dr Leuzzi. Thank you for an authentic and inspiring travel experience.

My husband and I and our two young children stayed here in August. We needed a place big enough to accommodate us right in the center of Fiumefreddo Bruzio in the old town. It was wonderful! Maria Teresa was a thoughtful host and made us a delicious breakfast every day. She even went out to buy my son special food that he loves for breakfast. She spoke English, so it was easy to communicate. The accommodation was very charming and newly renovated, and we also had access to a common room where there was a large refrigerator we could use. My husband was able to connect to the internet there and work for a few hours, which was helpful. The views from the terrace at the top of the main building were spectacular! I would also recommend the restaurant on site- delicious!

Siamo stati con amici a Borgo di fiume e in particolare a mangiare a pranzo al Convivio. È stata una scoperta dei luoghi e del gusto. Ci hanno proposto un menu di antipasti del territorio a km 0 eccellente, in particolare le crocchette di melanzane, insieme ad un’atmosfera calda e accogliente. Sia l’interno proposto con gusto sia l’esterno in una cornice incantevole nel bordo di Fiumefreddo. Personale gentile e disponibile ma sopratutto giovane e con tanta passione. Complimenti! Vivamente consigliato.

La nostra esperienza non avrebbe potuto essere più incredibile. La residenza è un vero e proprio viaggio nel tempo, con architettura in pietra e camere spaziose, oltre alla terrazza con un'incredibile vista sul tramonto. Maria Teresa è una host molto gentile e disponibile. L'osteria Il Convivio è un gioiello: tutta la filosofia del mangiare senza prodotti industrializzati e utilizzando prodotti locali è ammirevole e il cibo è semplicemente delizioso. Lo consigliamo vivamente e non vedo l'ora di tornarci.
