We sent a message to the facility the day before asking to arrive a bit earlier if possible. We ended up arriving to the room just 20 minutes before check in time to find that the room had not been prepared and was still dirty. Nobody was in sight so we called and emailed again and again until they finally replied that there had been some confusion and sent a person to make the room. She was definitely rude to us and instead of apologizing told us that we were in the middle annoying her and needed to leave for an hour. We went out and got back right when the cleaner was leaving. In the room we found the fridge not working, the ac incredibly noisy to the point that we could not sleep while it was running (we needed it as the weather was very hot and humid) and most of the kitchenette mugs and utensils dirty. We went out in the evening only to discover that the building was locked and could not get back to the room the way we got in during the day (ringing the bell). The property did not tell us that they were going to give us a token to open the outside door. We had to wait for other guests to arrive (one hour wait) and share the token with us. Those guests lamented the poor service and lack of info as well. On the last day we were instructed to leave the city tax on the table in the room (cash). We did it and left relieved to close the door behind this dirty place and its very rude owners. We wrote them to lament the awful service received and ask for a partial refund only to be accused of not leaving the cash on the table (!!) and of lying. Instead of apologizing or trying to find a compromise the owner was immediately aggressive, offensive, rude and unfair. They even told us to calm down as we were on vacation (vacation for which we work the whole year). Florence is a dream but the high demand of places to sleep makes it possible for anybody to think they can be hoteliers. We warmly suggest to find another place to stay while you enjoy Florence. This one is a scam

The Duomo Palace has an excellent location, a super-large room with everything you might need, super-lumpuas sheets and towels, it's like being at home, little fridge, cafeteria, kitchenette and lots of shelves, plates and cutlery, super spacious. In a safe and quiet place at night, in front of the Duomo. Fourth time in Florence and this has been the best hotel. Excellent room, with everything, close to Duomo, quite at night, spacious room 4 people can sleep here. Very clean, sheets and towel like new. This is our 4th time in Florence and this is the best place. My first review because it deserves it.

My boyfriend and I stayed two nights, beautiful view, good location but the cleaning of the room was bad for what it costs! An unpleasant sewage smell perpetually accompanied us on the stairs, in the evening (I attach photos) I decided to make myself a cup of tea and the microwave was dirty! Poorly washed ditto cutlery, placed on a paper towel. The air conditioner barely threw hot air and made an annoying noise! Mattress, uncomfortable! All in all, great location but otherwise, I wouldn't stay here again. I am sorry!

Great hotel. Location is great. There is no one there, self check-in with code. You will receive information about this in advance. Nespresso with cups and water is ready. No cleaning and fresh towels only after three days. It is noisy but not disturbing for us.
