I have been an owner here for over 20 years. Each time I come here, they offer less and less for amenities, services, and entertainment. As an owner, I feel slighted that activities are geared toward the cruise ship people that pay to come here for the day. When thongs were good, I could get a printed schedule of activities and plan my week….not now…. And NOBODY CARES. If I took a tour now, I would not buy a membership! The beach and pool are wonderful. The Bahamian People are great…but if this place does not get their act together, I am will not return. It is expensive to get here, get around, and eat of the economy. I hope someone at Taino reads this because many of is older owners are NOT happy. You sold me a Big Mac, and you decided to skip the special sauce …get it. No excuses!

The beach view is perfect, white sand clear water. We have room on 4 floor where balcony can view the ocean and pool can't ask for more. The staff really nice and friendly. Got a massage at Ideal Health Spa from Lorine during our stay, it was just perfect for what we need detress.

They have a nice pool/ with access right to the beach. WiFi on the beach area with lounge chairs and shade. We got a really nice massage from Lorine @ Ideal Health Spa on property. Free ferry ride to Lucaya market place. Great overall experience. It’s quiet and relaxing. Good for family

The photos look nice, but the buildings are really bad in person. During our 1 week stay, TV remote broke twice, the lighting fixture broke three times, no water due to plumbing repair (probably 30 mins or so, though). Tiles fallen from the wall leaving a hole. The shower is built poorly and did not drain, leaving pool of water after use. They are out of fresh towels so often. We had to visit the front desk numerous times a day seeking fresh towels and often told they were out of clean ones. Many of washers and dryers were out of order. The restaurant closed 4-5 pm and there is no other restaurant or store nearby (other than hotel gift shop with half empty shelves). The kitchen is equipped with only few dishes and pans, and it makes difficult to cook. No cutting board. There is a fridge but no freezer. No Wi Fi in the room If we have to find good things: Big pool. Adjacent beach, the hot water was really hot. There is a ferry to Lucaya market place (it was free when we went although it was $8 round trip) which runs once every hour.

The beach is one of the best in the world right next to the resort. People were friendly and being off season my wife and I had the beach completely to ourselves on more than on day. If you want relaxing place to go with lots of sun highly recommend this place. The pools are large with waterside and lazy river which we didn’t use as we stay on the beach. Rooms were okay with pretty much everything you need, clean, but a little dated. The only challenge was with wifi when in the rooms.

I have been travelling to this resort for over 20 years and return annually at least two times a year! Great location as beachfront property on South side of Grand Bahama Island with ferry hourly from resort to Port Lucaya Marketplace, with restaurants, bars, grills, and shops galore, included in amenity fees.Moderate accommodations in beautiful setting wity gigantic freeform pool and lazy rivernad slide !

My husband and I stayed at the Taino Beach Resort for 1 week and just returned. Generally I prefer to always mention the positives at the beginning, however, I will start with the negatives in the event you don’t read all the way through my review. First off, you need to understand that this resort is a timeshare resort, not a regular hotel. There are 3 different buildings “The Marlin”, “The Coral” and “The Ocean”. You DO NOT want to stay at any building except “The Marlin”!! I can’t stress that enough! We booked through Armed Forces Vacation website and therefore we did not know about the differences in the buildings. We tried to upgrade, but they put you off and tell you to try in a few days. We were put in “The Coral” building. Our room was very outdated, old, had many problems, and had a very strange décor. It is commonly known as The Flinestone room by guests at the resort. It was damp and all our things had a musty smell when we got home. A list of some of the problems with the room: *No bar or hangers for one of the very small closets. (We asked several times about fixing it to no avail.) *Phone didn’t work. (They did come and fix it, but took needed pieces from the room nextdoor.) *The safe did not work, trouble with the buttons. (A guy came out once, looked at it and never came back.) *Both the back and front door are difficult to open, along with the shower door. *Drawers and cupboards didn't open and close properly. *There are no ceiling fans which made it difficult for anything to dry out. *Toilet trouble, but found out that if you hold the flusher down for a bit it will flush properly. *We only had one bed in our room and it was a Murphy bed, it was very hard and uncomfortable. *There was an ironing board but no iron. *The lighting in the room was very dim, you couldn’t see well. *Our room was supposed to be a full kitchen, but did not have an oven. There are some things they fail to mention when you check in: *There is no maid service. *You must put your trash out on a certain day, or dump it yourself. *It’s difficult to get bath towels. *For the beach towels you need to put a $20 deposit, but try to keep your towel for as long as you can as they never seem to have them at the front desk. *They take you to the grocery store, but fail to mention that you need to bring your own bags. They did try to get us to sign up for the Time Share tour. We opted out as we have had bad experiences with them. However, we spoke to a few different people who did go and the tour only lasted 90 minutes and said it was not “hard sell”. You do get a free meal (with them) and you can pick from a list of off resort activities. Even the time share guests took the tour for the free things they give you. We blew it, so I suggest you give it some thought. The only restaurant on the resort is pretty expensive and not great. And closes at 6pm. Plan on bringing as much food and “alcohol/drinks” as your bags will allow, we think it was w

We have stayed at the Marlin twice in the past 3.5 years. We love the private beach and it has been quiet and relaxing on both visits. The pool is very large, and nicely done. Staff is always helpful. We can't wait to come back again!
