It has a good location but the following issues.
1. Gym and Pool Unavailable on the Last Day of Each Month
I brought my swimsuit and goggles to swim, but was told that the gym and pool are closed on the last day of every month for maintenance. This information was not mentioned during booking via Trip.com, though I was later told it was noted on the hotel’s official website.
2. Lack of Communication from Front Desk Staff
Although I had prepaid the full room charge, the front desk asked for my credit card at check-in. I assumed it was for a deposit, as is common in other countries. However, it was actually to perform a ¥0 authorization to check if the card could be used to pay the accommodation tax at checkout. The staff did not explain this at all—just vaguely said they needed to check the card. I later found out the tax could also be paid by cash or hotel points. They should have clearly explained the purpose and payment options in advance. In the end, I paid the tax using hotel points.
3. Unclean Table in Room
Surprisingly, there was a dirty table in the room that I couldn't use—something not expected from a five-star hotel in central Fukuoka. (See attached photo)
