This hotel was perfection. Extremely clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet and dark room. Many free fruits, snacks, and drinks. Friendly hosts who added me on WeChat if I needed anything. Gorgeous neighborhood. I totally recommend staying here when in Fuzhou.

My stay at Dieyuan was a pleasant surprise. I normally stay at major brand hotels, but this time I wanted to be close to the area where all of the nations had their consulates and tea trading companies during the 19th century. This decision proved fortuitous. The architecture of the area is beautiful. The service in this villa style hotel is first class from the time you walk in the door. The ambience is enchanting. I was actually a sad to leave. Because of this experience I am going to try staying in similar establshments in other places as well.

Charming restored period house. Service was a bit inconsistent. We were provided tea and snacks upon arrival. Room had some nice amenities like bath toiletries, Dyson hairdryer, bath bombs, voss water, soft drinks, comfortable slippers but a lot of mosquitoes inside. Also room needs bedside tables to place personal items.

This is our first stop in Fuzhou. Both the exterior and the small courtyard satisfy my fantasy as a girl from Northeast China about the small western-style buildings with historical traces in the south. They are romantic and full of age. A pot of jasmine tea with sweet mung bean cakes, sitting in the courtyard and watching the small white building covered with green vines, the fragrance of osmanthus wafting in, looking at the windows of the small white building, I am very glad that it has been preserved, and it is just the way I like it.
