Hotel Villa Del Sogno

This is a reliable place to go for a good lunch. The food and service is of consistently high quality. They were busy but still made a table available for Saturday lunch without a reservation. One thing that I find particularly annoying, and would have resulted in a lower rating (except for the fact that I couldn't fault the food) was that they seem to have adopted the Ryanair model for ordering food. To explain, I ordered the steak. But had to pay separately for chips (fine), but also and additional $6 for sauce. I think most restaurants probably offer a steak with chips and sauce. So in the end, an additional £12 (x2) was added to the bill which is quite sneaky.

This place is an absolute gem. From the the moment you turn into the sweeping drive that meanders up the hill, you realise you are entering a little paradise. The gardens are beautiful, the staff old school and elegant, the facilities excellent but it’s the position… the view from the Villa is a showstopper. It’s absolutely breathtaking. The Villa itself is steeped in history and every corridor, wall, staircase and piece of furniture is something to admire. It’s a collector’s heaven! The pool is beautiful, large and has a gorgeous position and view. There’s a little bar there which serves lunch which is rather nice. We loved having our aperitivo on the terrace - we were very well looked after. In the one afternoon when there were some specs of rain we sat in the bar and played chess which was rather lovely. The lady on reception was so helpful and gave us some excellent local recommendation of places to dine and visit outside the hotel; each time she was spot on! Our room was small but comfortable with nice Etro amenities and an excellent shower. He had a room with a terrace and waking up to the view from our room was truly magical. This hotel won’t disappoint. We loved it and will definitely be returning!

Such a gorgeous hotel in a beautifully verdant setting! Impeccable service and lovely atmosphere. Our lake view room and it’s classic balcony was the best for relaxing and enjoying the views. Everyone of the employees who we came in contact with were delightful and helpful in planning our days at this breathtaking hotel. The walk up and down the hill was beautiful and fun! We hope to return someday ❤️

My daughter and I actually had a very nice stay at Lake Garda from 11-14 August at the Hotel Villa del Sogno. Everything in the hotel is excellent. The location, the service, the extremely friendly staff. However, I am only talking about actually because our stay there was negatively affected to the maximum by the laundry service and the subsequent drama! Unfortunately, I made the mistake of taking a newly purchased high-quality (＞ EUR 1,100 plus tailoring costs) light blue-coloured linen suit to the dry cleaners there and not checking the suit immediately after cleaning but simply packing it up and taking it home with me. The next time I tried it on after my holiday, I had a rude awakening: the suit had been washed too hot and was therefore "destroyed" in terms of colour and size so that much smaller people could now wear it. The ongoing correspondence and clarification as to whether the hotel's own laundry or an external laundry was responsible for this has still not achieved a satisfactory result. Repeated reminders remained unanswered. Actually a very unpleasant development and experience with a hotel that actually has everything to make an unforgettable holiday on Lake Garda possible. Let's see when someone at the hotel gets their act together and takes responsibility and compensates for the damage.

Returning visit after 1 year. The waitstaff at the restaurant is still impressive. Very experienced and attentive. Excellent breakfast on the terrace with spectacular view and superb cantucci’s made by the chef. For electric cars, chargers available. Really nice experienced receptionist that seems to be there 24/7.

Beautiful older property. Excellent view very traditional I would have liked a coffee pot in the room. We would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Positive points -Location. The views from the hotel are stunning. It’s approx 20 minute walk from the nearest town with bars and cafes and there are some lovely ones to choose from. Staff. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and did there best to make our stay as happy as possible. The lady at reception was especially helpful arranging us taxis and an excursion. Evening dinner. We had one evening meal at the restaurant on the terrace and it will be a fantastic memory. Really fantastic service with crepes made at the table and meat carved. The beef main course was the best we have had anywhere. A room with a balancing overlooking lake Garda is a superb place to be. Things that could be better. The breakfast offering was a little disappointing. Service again was fantastic but have had better food option elsewhere. It is a steep walk up to the hotel and the steps are not particularly well maintained. Overall though a fantastic stay, made all the better by the helpful staff.

Again spend wonderful days at Villq del Sogno. Enjoyed the fabulous terrace and lake view daily at breakfast. Staff is super friendly and attentive, really makes you feel welcome. Spending time leisurely at the pool is a treat. Location is a good starting point for many sight seeing trips. One comment - the gym needs an update.
