Me and my daughter went to the most beautiful Glarus. As we traveled by train we decided to eat dinner by the train station in Glarus, but we went hungry home. We had a live maggot in our dinner ???? Imagine what else they serve???? Enjoy your meal!!

I invited my friends in Glarus and made a reservation for one night. Since it was 8.p.m. we also had dinner at the restaurant. Food was very good, we had veal with asparagus and baked potatos and excellent sauce. Service eas very good and friendly. Shaban took good care of us. Prices are reasonable. Rooms are standard, clean. The hotel is right on the heart of the city.

Group registered on Sunday 14 April 21 people for lunch a la carte. We had to wait 1 hour for the drink and 1.5 hours for the food. The food was good, the waiting time was very bad. Not recommended for groups even if you are registered, bad timing

Our technicians spent 3 nights in the hotel. It was May 9th - 12th and about 25°C. It was much warmer in the rooms and there was no way to cool it down. It was very uncomfortable to sleep like that, which is very important on a business trip. In addition, the rooms did not have their own bathrooms, only shared bathrooms. This was not indicated anywhere on the website, otherwise we would never have booked it. On the third morning, they even forgot to offer the breakfast we had booked.

Room booked. Written confirmation. Unfortunately the booking was lost. The hotel was full because there was a major event. But the person responsible was not there, reception could only be reached by phone. We were sent away in a very unfriendly manner. Very rude and unprofessional staff. Glarus and the surrounding area have good hotels. But I can't recommend the Stadthof under any circumstances.

Since we were visiting during the lockdown, we only had the opportunity to eat in the hotel restaurant. Without great expectations, we were just happy to have somewhere to eat. We were very surprised - the food was excellent on both evenings. A big compliment to the chef!
