Visited the restaurant for lunch. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended. The place has lots of character and is also very good for viewing birds and wildlife.

Really good choice just off the main road. Team very welcoming. Great opportunity to see some game at a waterhole. Evening meal was really good but if you want a wide choice then not for you. It was a buffet style. Wifi is outside and away from the restaurant area and although good connectivity, not very relaxing place to sit. Overall though, I’d recommend this place. It’s a little quirky too

Wir kennen Roy's schon länger, da es das einzige Stopover für den Khaudum Nationalpark ist. Ich erinnerte mich noch vom letzen Mal, dass die Campsites nicht besonders sind - fand es dann bei erneuter Anreise aber noch enttäuschender als erwartet. Da das Essen gut ist, wollten wir für den Abend vorbuchen. Bei der Telefonnummer auf der Homepage meldete sich die Mailbox mit der Ansage: Mailbox ist voll, es können keine weiteren Nachrichten hinterlassen werden. Zwei Stunden später selbe Ansage. Online haben wir es gar nicht erst probiert, da die Netzdeckung dort nicht gut ist. Trafen dann um 16.30 Uhr ein und wurden belehrt, dass es nun zu spät sei um Essen zu buchen. Nach Hinweis auf die volle Mailbox desinteressiertes Schulterzucken: Die Ehefrau habe das Telefon den ganzen Tag bei sich getragen. Also mit anderen Worten: wir haben uns die Ansage nur eingebildet? Nun ja, also zur Campsite. Mit den Bildern auf der Homepage haben die Stellplätze nichts gemein. Das beste sind die Dikdiks und Perlhühner, die frei herumlaufen und recht zahm sind. Die einzelnen Campsites liegen dicht beieinander, haben kein Dach, kein Wasser lediglich einen Stromstecker sowie ein Hinweisschild auf welchem Platz man sich befindet. Ablutionblock relativ weit entfernt; bis auf die Overlander-Campsites gibt es kein Waschbecken zum Spülen. Eine "Buschküche" neben der Lodge verfügt über das einzige Spülbecken für alle Campsites. Viel Spaß beim Anstehen zum Geschirrspülen. Da die Campsites keinen Rasen o.ä. haben ist die ganze Anlage während der Regenzeit ziemlich matschig und dreckig. Es wäre schön, wenn man ein anderes Camp zur Wahl an dieser Stelle hätte...

Tolles Camp, schöne Campsite, nicht zu eng, Stromanschluss, saubere Sanitäranlagen, super Abendessen, selten so lecker gegessen Anlagen ist mit Liebe gemacht, mit vielen schönen Details In ca. 150 Meter vom Camp entfernt gibt es ein Wasserloch an dem man Tiere beobachten kann Alles sehr empfehlenswert, wir würden wiedekommen
