Hotel was is a great location and the staff were so helpful, let us check in at 7am after our bus, much earlier than the usual checkin time. The staff were so friendly and gave us some good tips on how to avoid extra fees at the national park and caves. There is a bike shop next door that is really affordable.
The only down side was there was a lot of noise from some nearby construction every morning from 7:30. This is obviously not the hotels fault.

Planning our trip slightly last minute during a holiday didn't give us a lot of options for hotels. We booked this place because it seemed like the best value. We only needed a place to sleep so it got the job done but I don't think I'd want to stay there for an extended period of time. Positives: Location was within walking distance of everything we needed to get to, breakfast was good, and the owners were friendly (however we didn't meet them until the morning after we arrived since we arrived late at night). Negatives: not the cleanest place, didn't have much in the way of amenities, and we couldn't get the AC to work.

The environment is average, but considering the low price, it's still acceptable. The boss can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese, so communication is no problem.

Отличный отель за свои деньги! Очень чисто. Милая и улыбчивая девушка на ресепшене, во всем готовая помочь И она с понятным! английским! Достался номер с огромным панорамным окном! Хороший завтрак - предлагают несколько вариантов.
Читал здесь отзывы некоторых "писателей" - вы за 10$(включая завтрак) хотите пятизвёздочный отель?! Спуститесь с небес на землю.
Резюмирую: мне здесь понравилось, а на мелкие недочёты, типа обшарпанного смесителя можно закрыть глаза, учитывая цену.

The room was really nice, very spacious and clean. Their service is cheap but the quality is very good, they book a trip to visit Lan Ha Bay cheaper than everyone on the same boat, bus tickets and laundry are also cheaper than other places on Cat ba island. Thanks a lot...

Great little hotel on Cat Ba island! Basically every experience I had here was perfect. Reception was super nice when I checked in and he was quick to give me tips about things to do and tours available. Booked a motorbike from him and went on the route he recommended too. The room was comfy and clean although there was construction going on next door (not their fault). Breakfast was also really good each morning. They have a little menu you can choose from. No issues extending my stay either. Would come back here next time I go to Cat Ba!
