Moshang Jiuxi Homestay(Hangzhou West Lake Branch)

A wonderfully restorative mountain lodge, completely enveloped in a refreshing, vibrant natural ambiance. The service was incredibly thoughtful.

I booked this hotel specifically for its stunning window view, and it certainly didn't disappoint. It was even more beautiful than I'd anticipated. Listening to the sounds of insects and birds from our room's balcony at night, and waking up to a breathtaking vista of lush greenery the moment the curtains were drawn – it was incredibly therapeutic. The location is also perfect, situated directly on the Jiuxi hiking trail. A leisurely 10-15 minute walk uphill brings you right to Jiuxi Yancun (Nine Creeks Smoke Village). The room was spotlessly clean, and all the facilities were well-equipped. The hotel offers a personal butler service. They even surprised us with complimentary desserts in the evening, which was incredibly thoughtful.

The guesthouse is located within the Jiuxi Eighteen Stream Scenic Area. It's charming, meticulously clean, and incredibly peaceful. Sitting by the window in the room was incredibly relaxing, offering beautiful views outside. Taking an early morning stroll through the scenic area, we encountered very few tourists. If you're driving, you can notify them in advance to gain direct access to the guesthouse, and there's free on-site parking available. The decor of the bathroom and shower room, however, felt a bit underwhelming for the guesthouse's price point. On the bright side, the staff were exceptionally patient and helpful. Overall, it comes highly recommended.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to the Jiuxi Yanshu scenic area, which is perfect for an evening stroll or a daytime hike. The staff were also incredibly attentive. They even offer complimentary evening porridge. The room's soft furnishings were standard, but the design of the toilet and shower area felt a little dated, though it was perfectly functional. Apart from that, everything else was great, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

The B&B has a good location. The family room was thoughtfully designed and spacious enough for a family, and we were very pleased with the room's setup. However, we wished the room's cleanliness was better and more thorough, especially the bathroom vanity countertop and under the stairs. My biggest complaint is that for a B&B costing 1800 a night, the breakfast was exactly the same every single day: a small bowl of plain congee with pickled vegetables and a salted duck egg. This offered incredibly poor value for money. To top it all off, even though our pet didn't make any mess, we were still charged an additional pet cleaning fee.

An amazing guesthouse right in the scenic area. The views are absolutely incredible, and everything was spot on. Taking a walk up the path at 6 AM, the rewards were truly perfect.
