LIZZY • Ritz Hotel on Harbin Central Street

Booked a queen room and got a free upgrade. The room layout was excellent, very European in style. The welcome fruit was a nice touch. The young lady at the front desk was very efficient in handling issues, and a gentleman helped with our luggage. The restaurant staff were all very pleasant and made us feel comfortable. We had a very satisfying stay. The breakfast was plentiful and allowed us to get to the airport on time.

The location is fantastic, right on Central Avenue. The hotel staff were warm and attentive, providing excellent service. The hotel's decor is very unique, with a strong Russian flair. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing could be improved.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful; the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a fairy tale. The service is also excellent, and the breakfast especially deserves high praise. It was incredibly delicious, with a wide variety of dishes and great flavors. The hot dishes, in particular, were superior to many five-star hotels. I was even surprised to find roasted lamb leg and abalone at breakfast, and the sausages were also tasty. The hotel bed was exceptionally comfortable, from the pillows to the mattress. Out of my nine-day trip to Northeast China, this was the most comfortable bed I've slept in. The location is perfect; you step right out onto Central Street, and within 200 meters, there are countless highly-rated restaurants. The only minor downsides are that the elevator is a bit slow, possibly due to it being an older building conversion, and the room was a bit small. However, the hotel thoughtfully upgraded us to a larger room. All in all, it's highly recommended. Upon leaving, they even provided a lovely souvenir gift bag with good quality candies and wafers, as shown in the picture below.

Traveling with my mom and child, the hotel's location was superb. It's right on Central Street and very close to the subway station. Coming back from the Ice and Snow World, there's a bus that goes directly to Central Street, and the drop-off point is right next to the hotel – what a pleasant surprise! The bathroom was large and convenient, with plenty of hot water and strong pressure. The service attitude was excellent; the gentleman at the door enthusiastically helped us with our luggage. As locals from the Northeast, we felt like we were being treated like "southern potatoes" (a term for southern tourists in the northeast), which was a wonderful and unexpected experience! 😂😂😂 And Harbin beer is really good, haha.

I rarely visit Harbin, and this trip was a short one. After a lot of deliberation, I chose the Ocean Ritz. For someone as picky as me, everything from the breakfast quality, service attitude, and hygiene to the facilities was excellent. The afternoon tea had a great ambiance, and there were fresh welcome fruits every day. The front desk even upgraded my room, which was really nice. The location is incredibly close to Central Street, and you can walk about 1km to St. Sophia Cathedral. Finally, I have to say the decor of this Ritz is superb, and all the staff members are wonderful. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Harbin.

The hotel is newly renovated, and the first floor is especially luxurious. The restaurant is also beautiful and perfect for photos. The staff even tell you the history behind each painting. For breakfast, they surprisingly had roasted lamb leg, which was incredibly fragrant, and the noodles were also good. They upgraded my room, and the round bathtub was really comfortable for a soak after a full day out in the cold. This was my most satisfying and successful hotel choice ever. When I left, I forgot something, and they even helped me mail it. 1000 points, highly recommend!
