We had to buy a basin for takeout to mix water to a suitable temperature for our child's bath. We initially considered changing hotels, but after reporting the issue to the front desk the next day, they moved us to a different room, and we didn't have that problem anymore. After staying a few days, I can say the service is truly excellent; they accommodate every request. We ended up extending our stay for several more days."

"The location is excellent, right on Shangzhi Street, just a hundred meters from Central Avenue. There's a bus stop right outside, making it super convenient to get around. The room was spacious and the facilities were quite new. The showerhead was the best I've experienced in a hotel recently – really comfortable! The service was very warm and friendly, and there was a generous supply of bottled water. Breakfast was also quite rich. I stayed for 3 nights, and the breakfast menu was the same every day. I'd suggest varying some of the items daily."

"The hotel is right next to the entrance of Sunac Land, a 50-meter walk away. They're currently setting up a light show, which is supposedly going to open on New Year's Day. It's also very close to the adjacent Sunac Mall, a 100-meter walk away. This mall has many restaurants and shops, including Sanfu, and it's easy to buy warm clothing there. The service staff are all very good and attentive. The shuttle bus to the Ice and Snow World is also convenient, saving me taxi fare. It was too cold to take any pictures of the hotel, but overall it's very new and beautiful."
China Harbin Ice And Snow World Wenquan Camping Hotel
"1. Unstable water pressure and low water flow; water was cut off starting at 1 AM. No prior notice of the water outage was received; the front desk only informed us of low pressure after the outage. We couldn't wash or use the toilet at night. 2. The hotel is extremely far from the West Gate of the Ice and Snow World. A shuttle service was only available when I arrived; otherwise, there was no service to the West Gate. I had to push my luggage to the West Gate myself to check out. This means you have to walk at least 20 minutes to the West Gate to pick up takeout. 3. The room had a sour smell, especially at night—a strong woody smell. It was very uncomfortable and unbearable. 4. It was incredibly hot during the day, with the sun shining directly into the wooden room. Even with the air conditioning set to 16 degrees Celsius, the temperature couldn't be lowered. I checked in at 4 PM, and it took an hour for the air conditioning to cool the room down. We had to leave our chairs outside and wait an hour before we could go back in."

Coming to Harbin in the summer, the climate felt like I'd arrived in a city with its own air conditioning – a perfect evening with street food, a post-dinner riverside walk, and a visit to a bustling morning market with a lively local vibe. All of these made my trip to Harbin so enjoyable. It's so different from many big cities in the south; this is the slow-paced life I long for, and I think this is the true meaning of travel. Harbin is wonderful, and I'll definitely be back!"
