"I've stayed here twice now. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the young ladies at the front desk are incredibly helpful. The first time I visited, they gave me frozen pears, and the second time, I even got a small towel. These thoughtful details really warm my heart. Shopping is super convenient with direct elevator access to the mall, and there are tons of restaurants nearby. It's also a very short walk to the high-speed train station, and the hotel even offers a pick-up service from there. This is definitely my top choice whenever I visit Harbin. My friends are coming this weekend, and I'm booking here again for them!"

JI Hotel (Harbin Central Avenue Sophia Square)

📍 No. 160 Shangzhi Street, Daoli District, Harbin
★★★ 9.8 (66 reviews)

"This was my first time in Harbin, and I wanted a hotel that was conveniently located for all the attractions and had new facilities. That's why I chose this Hanting Premium hotel. **Location:** It's right next to Central Street, making it super easy to walk to Saint Sophia Cathedral and the river. I loved being able to explore and eat around the area multiple times a day. **Facilities:** The lobby is on the sixth floor, and guest rooms are on the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors. Since it just opened this year, the facilities are brand new. However, there wasn't a strong 'new renovation' smell in the room. I hadn't planned on getting breakfast, intending to find local specialties at nearby markets, but during check-in, I was told about a promotion and added it. The breakfast was decent, but the congee (porridge) was extremely watery, more like rice water. When I asked, they said that's how it is. I'm not sure if that's a Harbin specialty. **Cleanliness:** The cleanliness was pretty good. On the second day, I noticed some areas hadn't been thoroughly cleaned the day before, but they fixed it immediately after I mentioned it. **Service:** The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming."

"Compared to the cheap, trendy, fast-food standard rooms near Central Street that cost just 600-700 RMB per room, the family rooms here are truly top-notch! And the amenities are on par with many five-star hotels! They'll definitely be my top choice next time I visit!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Flood Control Memorial Tower and close to Central Avenue, Saint Sophia Cathedral, and Zhaolin Park. The room is quite spacious, perfect for one or two people without feeling cramped. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and the facilities are new. The cleanliness and service are also top-notch."

"the hotel was great value for the price and has a few excellent points. Location is easy to get to the airport and ok for the winter attractions. Rooms are nice, though are showing their age. The facilities (gym/pool) we decided to avoid; they don't offer the resort or relaxation of other five star hotels. Food was consistently good and the club lounge is easily one of the best decors I've found. The service was consistently good from checkin especially. I would stay here again if Im in Harbin, but I would stress that I have allergies to try and get a real smoke-free room (our bathroom....)"

"We are a couple from Japan on vacation, and we booked our flights and accommodation through Ctrip. Out of all our travels and stays over the years, this one was the absolute best! The room facilities were fully equipped, complete, and very comfortable. The breakfast was incredibly rich and diverse; we stayed for 6 days and had breakfast 5 times, and it was always very satisfying. The restaurant was excellent, and the service was outstanding. A huge thank you to everyone at the front desk for your warm hospitality – this trip will be unforgettable for a lifetime."

"Every week, I take my kids to a hotel for a relaxing getaway. This week, I chose a hotel with a small courtyard, right next to Central Avenue. The location is absolutely superb – it's directly behind Central Mall. You can walk out of the hotel and be on Central Avenue in just 2 minutes. There are parking spaces available right in front of the hotel; just contact the front desk in advance to reserve one. The service was excellent and very thoughtful; every staff member was incredibly enthusiastic. The food was also fantastic. Dinner offered a rich variety of choices, and the afternoon tea was refreshing, delightful, and relaxing. In the evenings, they even served late-night wontons and brought fruit and snacks to the room. The room facilities were complete, and everything was clean, with great soundproofing. I booked a family room, which came with various amenities and toys for children. It was a very satisfying stay, especially the small courtyard – it was so comfortable!"

Novotel Harbin Zhongyang Street ★★★★
"Facilities: Great, the beds and decor were very comfortable. Having a dryer and washing machine was also super convenient. The breakfast was very rich and satisfying; if you don't feel like going to the morning market, having a leisurely breakfast at the hotel is also a great option. Hygiene: Super clean. It's clear they put a lot of effort into maintaining cleanliness. They provide an ultra-fast hairdryer that dries hair really well, much better than the old-fashioned ones. Environment: It's right next to St. Sophia Church, and the Daoli vegetable market is just beside it, so there are plenty of food options. If you're not used to local cuisine, the surrounding commercial facilities are well-developed, with places like Mixue Ice Cream & Tea and McDonald's easily accessible. It's also very close to Central Street."

Xueli Hotel (Harbin West High-speed Railway Station Wanda Plaza) ★★★★
"## Facilities: Since the hotel is located on the upper floors of a mall, the water pressure is quite low, which is understandable. However, the drain odor was a significant issue. They've installed anti-odor valves in the drains, which unfortunately makes the water drain extremely slowly. I had to manually clear it myself in the middle of a shower. ## Environment: The environment was okay. However, smoking bans seem to be poorly enforced throughout Harbin, and people were smoking in the hotel hallways, making it difficult to breathe. I reported it to the front desk, but they were completely unresponsive, probably used to it. ## Hygiene: It was acceptable. ## Service: The service was… interesting. Because there was a wedding party picking up the bride in the hotel in the morning, which caused some disturbance, they gave each guest a portable nail clipper kit. When the three of us got back and opened them, some had two nail clippers, some had one, and some had none at all. Quite amusing."
