Guanlan Art Theme Sky Hotel (Chinese Baroque)

The room is quite unique, just as the pictures show. The double beds can sleep four people. The rock-like design makes it easy to bump heads when standing up or squatting, so be careful when checking in. There's no signal on the lower bunk closest to the wall. This is a B&B, not a hotel. The first floor looks like an unfinished, run-down building, and the lobby is rather shabby. Check-in is on the 12th floor, which is also quite messy. It's not very clean, and neither is the elevator. Maybe I'm being too critical, comparing B&Bs to hotels! The disposable towels are a plus, which is a plus. There's a washing machine in the bathroom for easy washing. The large double bathtub offers a river view, and a free bathtub bag is included, which is quite hygienic. The room amenities are quite complete, from ****** and other items that require payment to the bills clearly marked, to the drinks in the refrigerator. Upon check-in, we were asked to scan a WeChat police app on the wall, unsure what it was, but we did it anyway. B&Bs use a code lock, and check-in is done with a code! The biggest advantage of Zhejiang B&Bs is the high floors and beautiful river views. River-view rooms are also popular at other riverside hotels.

This was a gorgeous room!! Everything was clean and comfortable, the crisp white linens were crisp, the bed was large and soft, and there was a panoramic view from the window. The location is right next to the Baroque Quarter.

It was a great trip. It was my first time staying in such a high-rise building.
