Quite difficult stairs to the top floor not ideal for elderly. The room was very cold with non-functioning radiator. A quaint and adequately furnished room

Agree with most reviews noting that this is a nice, charming, quirky place - it's historic and an older property so not for everyone. We quite liked it. Our room (first upstairs on the left) was very good sized, though the bathroom was tight and kind of "janky". The room was big enough for a small sofa. It was reasonably well appointed. It's in a great location, and as of right now - there is a parking arrangement for free parking about a short block away. As far as older reviews which mention food though...This property does not have a restaurant or pub or anything, maybe it did at one time? I liked it a lot. But it's older and the edges are a little frayed. It's not "fully staffed" though there is someone there for check in hours. It's basically a come and go kind of place with a door code, and an old school key to the room. There is a nice roof top garden area which you should take advantage of if you have time.

Quirky old building with loads of character. Difficult access to room. Difficult parking. All in all was a pleasant experience.

Loved the historic interest in this unique property. Warm room and comfy bed. Our room also had some very interesting features and great art. The bathroom in our room needed a bit of an update. But it's really quiet considering you are in the middle of Ross on Wye. Great location and nice people :)

A quirky property which wouldn’t suit everyone. A great location on the high street so handy for shops and restaurants. A nice garden . 2 flights of stairs up to bedrooms . Room 1 was a good size with a sofa. The bed was very comfy. A small tv and very small bathroom . My problem was that it was freezing cold and no heating . I spent the evening wrapped in a blanket. We parked around the corner as no obvious car park although the owner later said we could use his parking if we wanted to

Great location and lovely historic building. Spacious, well furnished room up 2 flights of stairs. Very comfortable bed and sofa. Room was cold though, had to use the fan heater which was supplied. Bathroom was tiny, hand basin was in the room. Shower cubicle dated and not very clean sadly. Bottled water supplied in the fridge and tea/coffee and biscuits. Enjoyed staying there overall.

Lovely, warm & friendly owners! Room had good facilities and was quite spacey, clean and comfy - as was the ensuite. There was also a kind gesture upon arrival of free coffee, tea, bottled water, biscuits and toiletries. Overall we enjoyed our stopover and would not hesitate to come back in the future. On a slightly negative side - although the bed was just about ok for a one night stopover, any longer than that would've become an issue for our backs unfortunately. Also it does get quite noisy from around 5am onwards due to loud traffic on road outside of single glazed windows. Parking was basically fend for yourselves - although owner was able to recommend affordable pay & display car parks about 400 to 500 meters down the road. However we were lucky enough to find oulselves a kerbside space up behind the property which was basically free from 4pm until 11am the following morning.
