Happy Days

Great place, location and owners. Apartaments are renovated and well equipped. There are two pools and bar with great good. Owners are fantastic giving you very friendly welcome and keep very comfortable during whole stay. Apts are very close to old city and shops area.

So clean, comfortable and friendly . Shops, bars, beach are a short stroll away . Will definitely be back . Family run business. Family cannot do enough for you. Food is beautiful. Cocktails gorgeous. Room cleaned regularly and plenty clean towels. Water in fridge on arrival. Room gorgeous and views stunning . Recommend trying the quad bike tour which is based nearby.

I booked Happy Days for the week as we were celebrating my dad’s 60th birthday, and it turned out to be one of the best holidays we’ve ever had! The rooms were kept immaculate by housekeeping, everything was so clean! The rooms had all the amenities we could have needed. Air conditioning was extra charge, as is the usual way, but was still very very cheap and very good! The food and drink were gorgeous- all cooked by Georgia and Faye’s mama and all absolutely beautiful! We usually go out for all our meals but actually found ourselves eating dinner at the hotel one night, and breakfast/lunch there near every day! Georgia, Chris and Faye were all so lovely and accommodating, if we needed anything at all from extra toilet roll to advice on where to eat or what trips were best to do they were all always there for us with genuine advice. It was so nice getting to know this lovely family over our week there. My sister is having her 30th birthday next year and we will definitely be booking to return and celebrate with Georgia, Faye and Chris! The location is great, the hotel is situated on the cusp of the Old Town which means you’re close to all the action whilst still being able to get a good nights sleep- the ***** is only a 5-10 minute walk through the scenic old town, and the beach is about 25mins from the hotel- meaning you could make it from the hotel to the end of the ***** in 25mins. The hotel was completely accessible in that there are plenty of room options and accommodation in regards to mobility with ramps, and walk in/wet room showers available. We were so sad to leave, and can’t wait to come back. We’re not normally people who return to the same place, but we have absolutely fallen in love with Crete a couple of years ago, and now we have found yet another pocket of paradise inside another- I cannot recommend Happy Days enough, and can’t wait to come back!

This is a lovely budget littke3 place, staff are kind and friendly and helpful, the place is kept emaculatley clres. And the food reainable prices and good quality, it is close to amenities so easy for the solo traveller there were lots of people who were returning customers so this, says everything

A great place to stay, which is central to all the busy Malia party *****, but also near to the old Town if you want a more chilled quiet night out. A very friendly hotel run by a lovely family, nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is all wonderful and rooms and hotel is immaculately clean and tidy. I visited with my husband and good friends and we had an amazing week. Will defintely return.

I'd never stayed here before so I was a bit apprehensive, but thankfully there was nothing to worry about. The family who run this place can't do enough for you, whether it's recommendations of where to go, getting you a taxi, or just interacting with you in general. They are so polite, friendly, and welcoming, they made the holiday experience even better. The food at the complex is really good as well. If you've not stayed in the Maila old town before, this place is safe, clean, and welcoming to all.

Came here for a little solo trip in September and really did not know what to expect. The Hotel is family ran, and by a lovely and lovely family at that. The hotel was clean, as was my room as well as the surrounding areas. Both pools was a decent size, and the music around the poolside was at a decent volume. Food and alcohol in site was reasonable priced and always spot on. The hotel its self is a nice 10 minute walk to the start of the ***** which has plenty of bars and restaurants, and is a straight walk down towards the beach. I had a lovely time during my stay here and would very happily come again.

We are a couple and worried Malia was going to be very busy and full of partying but pleasantly surprised going in September to Happy Days Hotel that we didn't feel out of place, it is run by an amazing family that couldn't do enough for us, from advising us on trips and places to visit and eat at, please ask them about where to go and what to eat, take their advise about restaurants and places to visit, they know what they are talking about. The food at Happy Days was brilliant if you wish to stay at the hotel for meals. The room was clean, had a fantastic stay not far from beach and nightlife, but far enough from noise so you get a good night's sleep, right next to the Old Town which is quirky and picturesque views has lots of restaurants and lovely pubs. We were so glad we chose this hotel and we will definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great little trip (apart from the flight cancellation 🤣). The hotel is very clean and well run. This is a family run hotel and the family could not be more hospitable. Really lovely people especially Chris and his son John (or Ken or Paz🤣). Our apartment was clean and spacious and great for our mini break. Has a little kitchen, balcony and air con. There is a small charge for this but it’s needed as very hot. The food at the hotel was perfect and was some of the best pasta I have tasted. Would recommend the spag bol. Small tip would be to bring cash. We have become accustomed in the UK to paying contactless for everything but here cash is king so defo bring some euros. Would recommend this hotel to my friends and family and will try and come again next year. Andie and Kara.
