Anatoli Apartments

We’ve just enjoyed 11 nights at Anatoli apartments. The apartments themselves were basic but clean and we decided to have air conditioning at a cost of 7 euros a night. We were bed and breakfast and had toast, eggs, bacon most mornings from the menu, however they did accommodate any other requests such as yoghurt and honey and toasted sandwiches. The waitress who served us every morning was friendly and we always had a laugh! We ate in the restaurant many times and always found the variety and quality good at a reasonable cost. The family that run the apartments work long and hard and couldn’t do enough for us! Costas was always cracking jokes as was his son Rafael, he even had my dad helping in the kitchen!😂 Swimming pool area mostly quiet with plenty of sun beds. The beach was 5 minutes away through star beach hotel which consisted of 2 or 3 little coves. We recommend walking right of the star beach hotel where sun beds are slightly cheaper at a price of 8 euros for 2 beds and one umbrella. The man working at the beach was extremely helpful. Star beach hotel was a large hotel with bungee jumping, large go kart track, mini golf and small water park. If you like that sort of thing it is right next door! Hersonissos town was a 10 minute walk away if you wanted the lively area. We visited old town Hersonissos by taxi (12 euro). Lots of nice restaurants around a small town square, not much else there. Koutouloufari was a 25 minute walk uphill yet doable or 10 minute taxi ride. Again lonely small town with plenty of shops and restaurants. We ate in Galinis which was superb and had fantastic service and not too expensive. Overall was relaxing and we had a good time!

Our return flight got cancelled and we had to find accomodation for an extra 3 nights, so stumbled upon these lovely little apartments on *********** After spending 11 nights in a manic all inclusive hotel, it was a nice relief to spend our final days in Crete relaxing here. It's been a family run business for the last few decades and it shows, as they were very accomodating towards us. All spoke very good English. Very spacious and reasonably priced apartments. Very good value for money. Came with air con, kettle, fridge, pots, pans etc. The bar and restaurant is right in front of the apartments, so being self catering, it's very convenient. There's also supermarkets and other amenities a short few minute walk away in the main high street of Hersonissos. Various different beaches and bars are also just a short stroll away. Go karting, crazy golf, bungee jumping is all on your doorstep. The food and drink in the restaurant was great and again, very good value for money. Live sports were also shown in the bar, which is a bonus. Pool area was great and fairly quiet during the day with plenty of deck chairs and inflatables - our son loved it. Very happy we chose to stay here.

My friends and I had the most amazing 5 days at Anatoli Apartments and it was everything we hoped for and more. It’s hard to put into words what a brilliant time we had and the Apartments and people there will always have a special place in my heart. The family who run it are so kind, put as at ease and are always there to help with absolutely everything at any time! We felt that we really got to know them, especially Rafael who was incredible and a great laugh, and Andreas. They made us feel as if we belonged at the apartments, making jokes and genuinely caring about all the people staying with them. The apartments themselves are gorgeous and have everything you could possibly need and the taverna to eat in is also fabulous- delicious, really well priced with a loads of choice and a lovely atmosphere! The pool was quiet and we enjoyed lots of time swimming, relaxing by it and making friends with the other guests. Location wise, it is a 2 minute walk to beautiful beaches and 5 from a spar supermarket which is really convenient. We were also easy walking distance from all the bars/clubs in town, but not close enough to be able to hear them which was great. I can’t thanks the family enough describe what a perfect time we had (apart from us having a silly sea urchin incident where again Rafael saved the day day gave us all the advice we needed haha!) and I can’t wait to return- I don’t think there’s a more beautiful place with a nicer feel on the whole of Crete!

Great value for exelent price
