Abaton Island Resort & Spa ★★★★★
"Great value for money and beautiful scenery! Breakfast is also good!"
Sunshine Village ★★★★
"From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. The highlight for me was definitely the pool. It was spacious enough to actually swim properly, not just cool off. There were shaded areas as well, which I appreciated during the hotter hours. The hotel felt welcoming and unpretentious, and I left feeling rested. I would happily return for another quiet getaway by the water."
Creta Maris Resort ★★★★★
"Great hotel"
Stella Blue Seaside Resort ★★★★
"6 of us between the age of 38 and 68 stayed here in May. The area is quiet and not suitable for those looking for more lively atmosphere. It was a relaxation holiday for us and the hotel and staff did a perfect job in every way. The food options here very much focus on quality over quantity. We found buffet food to be fresh and replenished often but sometimes food was not that hot. The food in the a La carte restaurants was amazing! The Lobster ravioli and the T bone steak were my favourite meals. The staff here genuinely care and want you to have a great time. Ranya and Marina in guest relations are brilliant. Ranya knew as a group we would struggle to get booked into the restaurants so did this for us ahead of us speaking to her - great service! Other staff members that made our stay great were Michael, Christian, Abi, Nefeii, Gopell, George and the lads helping run the drinks in the lobby and also the waitresses in the Asian lunch restaurant. The lady in the spa was very friendly she helped us secure spa access every morning for my Dad who needed it for health reasons. The spa is limited to 6 people at any time which means it does not get crowded. Management are present and you can see they are working hard to make the service excellent but at times it is noticeably a hinderance. We sat down for lunch at the Asian restaurant and due to management intervention that day we ended up being served last when we had sat down first because the manager insisted the waitress serve in a certain order. Bit frustrating for staff and customers. We used the spa for a tranquil couple of mornings out of the sun and for a massage. Keep an eye on the app for spa offers, we had a shoulder massage with 1hr spa access for €50, the quality of the treatment was really good and professional. Pool towels and beds are comfortable. Cocktails are freshly made and were nice. The hotel could benefit from a water refill station to save queuing for a drink as quite often we noticed the bar was under staffed for the amount of guests. It would be great if ice cream was freely available like most other all inclusive 4* and above but here it was only available at the a La carte restaurants. Entertainment here is sophisticated and fairly minimal don’t expect Benidorm style entertainment because it’s not that sort of place. We had a comfort double room on the ground floor. Rooms are not very sound proof so take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There are free shower rooms, fitted with toiletries, towels and hair dryer if you have a late flight and don’t wish to pay €95 for the late checkout. Don’t hesitate to book this you won’t be disappointed!"
High Beach White - Adults Only ★★★★★
"It started off well with transfer drop off at the reception that is set a 100 yards from the hotel complex and then we were dropped off at our room 808 which is immediately next door to a day/night club with BOOMING music BUT we kind of got used to that. The beach was absolutely rammo but the consolation was that it was good for people watching so we got over that too. The main dining area was tucked away in the middle of the main stay and the food was okay some days but very bland on other occassions. So we ate at the beach front restaurant mostly. The a la carte lunch time menu had burgers and pizzas and, on the whole, the food was good and plentiful with excellent service and great Rose wine. We ate above the restaurant on two nights but you had to pay for the lunchtime a la carte menu (which was odd) so we went along with the 5 course set menu. Given that we were "All Inc" it was also odd that they gave us a wine list and had to pay. No big deal as we had a lovely evening and the prices were not excessive. We decided to try it again but were a bit more savvy this time and asked if the Rose wine was All Inc (as we really liked it) and it was!! They should have told us that I think or maybe we should have asked? Anyway, the food was really awful. Particularly bad. Service was excellent I should say but we hardly ate a thing. Our room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the box of tissues ran empty never to be refilled along with our shampoo and various other things. We thought we would try the room service for dinner on three occassions. On the first attempt they said they were too busy; second time they took the order but phoned back to cancel (too busy) and on the final time it never turned up so I went and got a plateful of food from the canteen. Every night the aircon stopped working from 11pm until 1am and that was uncomfortable. We called housekeeping to try and fix it but were told there was a static problem (whatever that is?) and that it would come back on soon. It did eventually. Finally, on departure we paid our bill and I asked if we were to be picked up at MacDonalds (we had been warned it could be one of two places) or from the reception. With twenty minutes before collection, the lady told us to take a seat as the coach driver calls her to let her know. With 5 minutes to go I asked if the coach driver had called and she said "not yet" so we took a seat again. we asked again ten minutes later and she told us that the coach had collected from MacDonalds!!! It was just ridiculous. I asked them if they would pay for our taxi to the airport and she then said it was our faut as we had not checked our TUI app. I said that firstly I was not aware that the TUI app had this information and secondly, in any event, she told us to "take a seat" as they as they were going to phone her. She said we would have to pay for our own taxi and get a receipt to make a claim against TUI. Fat chance of that happening. So 70 euros later we mad"

Volta Seaside Boutique Hotel
"I’ve stayed in countless hotels over the years, and as someone who travels frequently, I rarely find a place that genuinely surprises me. Volta Hotel in Heraklion did exactly that. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the level of hospitality. Every single member of the staff was exceptional. They welcomed me with genuine smiles every day, and you could truly feel that they cared about making every guest’s stay special. Their kindness, professionalism, and warmth are honestly difficult to put into words—it’s the kind of hospitality that you don’t just remember, you feel. The hotel itself is outstanding. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, with a fantastic variety and high-quality options that make every morning something to look forward to. The pool is beautiful, relaxing, and perfectly maintained. Housekeeping deserves special recognition as well—the rooms were spotless every single day, with incredible attention to detail. And the view… simply breathtaking. Waking up and enjoying the scenery from the hotel was one of the highlights of my stay. Volta has set a new standard for what hospitality should be. It’s rare to find a hotel where every aspect of the experience exceeds expectations, but this one truly does. If you’re visiting Heraklion, don’t think twice—this is the place to stay. I can’t wait to come back!"
Paralos Kosta Alímia ★★★★★
"Such a lovely massage with Efi. The whole hotel experience has been fantastic! Stayed in the hydro suite. Super friendly staff, wonderfully clean!"
Ikaros Beach, Luxury Resort & Spa - Adults Only ★★★★★
"We had a wonderful stay at this resort and were absolutely delighted with the whole experience. The rooms are fantastic, very spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and the entire resort is a lovely, well-kept place. The food was also excellent. All the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We would especially like to mention the concierge, who was always very friendly and helpful. Renting a car through Royal Cars was also very easy and uncomplicated. Everything went smoothly, and the employee was such a lovely and friendly person. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the massage at the hotel. Our therapist, Ariana, was incredibly professional, attentive, and caring. She immediately made us feel comfortable and took great care to ensure that the treatment was exactly what we needed. The massage was absolutely excellent and very relaxing. All in all, we had a fantastic stay with beautiful surroundings, excellent food, wonderful service, and many special touches. We would highly recommend this resort and would happily come back again!"

Central Hersonissos Hotel
"Hotel Central is located about 200 meters from the main road. This means you're not bothered by the hustle and bustle, but you can still get there and to the beach quickly. There's a free parking lot 100 meters away. The hotel is divided into a main building and an annex. The main building houses the 24-hour reception, a dining room right by the pool, and a bar. We arrived very late (1 a.m.) and were given a friendly welcome. We were also offered a meal and a drink. The annex has a small, older elevator, which took us to the second floor. The room was relatively small, had a balcony facing the street, and was very clean. The bathroom isn't brand new, but it was adequate. The shower with a towel takes some getting used to. The bath and hand towels, as well as the bed sheet, were changed every other day. The cleaning was done very thoroughly by a woman. Breakfast and dinner were very good, typical Greek food. In the morning, there was feta cheese, sausage, ham, but also baked beans, fried potatoes, eggs, sweet pastries, Greek yogurt, etc. The quality varied in the evening. Sometimes there were delicious meat and fish dishes. French fries and pasta were always available. The drinks were good and not very expensive. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Thank you so much."
Enorme Infinity Beach ex Infinity Blue
"Absolutely fantastic experience! The service was excellent from start to finish, and the facilities were beautiful and well maintained. The staff were very welcoming and professional, and everything made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had a great time with our friends and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!"
Albatros Spa & Resort Hotel
"The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location great and very clean hotel. Buffet style food similar to many hotels nothing wow about it but no complaints either. The small and cosy rooms really are cosy so we upgraded which was worth doing. Parts of the hotel seem dated and old fashioned but none of that affects the quality of service. Pool service is very good. Plenty of Sunbeds also. I personally think we should not have gone half board as the dinner was not the same as going out for meals."
Vasia Boulevard Hotel (Adults Only)
"Excellent little boutique hotel, we had a sea view room and the view was amazing 🤩. All the staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was lovely. We only stayed 5 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The position of the hotel is perfect for walking to all the restaurants and bars. We would definitely return without hesitation. Thank you 🤩"
Nana Princess Suites Villas & Spa
"Perfect view, great service"
Stella Island Luxury Resort & Spa (Adults Only)
"So the hotel was very good, the only problem was the reservation, I booked with trip with private jacuzzi, and when I arrived at the hotel there was no reservation with jacuzzi but only a basic room. I saw the reservation at the hotel so the error came from trip. They only reimbursed me 293 euros while the rooms without jacuzzi were at least 500 euros less.. Really disappointed, I don't think I'll book again on trip. But the hotel was great!!"
Stella Palace Aqua Park Resort
"We got upgraded to shared pool family room. Buffet options were good. Staffs were friendly and helpful."
Alexander Beach Hotel & Village Resort
"I had the great fortune to stay here for a week with my friend, who had been here 4 times prior to this . It was so beautifully laid out along the beach it had 3 pools ? Several restaurants, a spa and a gym . We were upgraded to a junior suite with such a beautiful view of the beach . The room was lovely , very spacious and very clean . The staff were all so lovely .And nothing was top much trouble. A special shout out to Socrates the barman in the pool bar , he was hilarious and great fun . The food was amazing in the Asian fusion restaurant and Maria was lovely . She remembered my friend from her previous stays and greeted her warmly. They even had a Cat Cafe where the guests could feed the local cats , which really meant a lot to me as I love cats. Everything was perfect. The only small downside was the channels on the TV..they were all in German The majority of people that stay there are German, they were all very quiet and pleasant, but it would have been nice to have a couple of English channels for when we got back to our room in the evening."
Glaros Beach Hotel
"We visited this hotel in September 2nd 2025 . Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting on the beach. We found the staff especially in the restaurant rude and not very friendly. The barman in the upstairs bar was lovely and friendly. There was not enough sunbeds to cater for such a large hotel. The rooms were spotless and the maids did a brilliant job. The lift was very small and slow and was quicker to walk down the stairs which were dangerous slippery. Pool was very cold too. Overall a lovely hotel just spoilt with the unfriendliness of the restaurant staff ."
Semiramis Village
"All Was Perfect !!!I will come Back Soon !!!!Ideal For The Holidays !!!"
Elios Hill
"Had a lovely stay at this hotel, cant fault the staff and services. Booked into the spa on my last day as a treat and was not disappointed. Tsampika's hospitality was faultless as was Sofia's massage"
Anissa Beach Hotel
"George was very nice and I had a very good experience and massage"
Arina Beach Resort
"We returned from Arina Beach in the early hours of this morning and are already longing to go back! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, our holiday was fantastic. We travelled as a family of four: myself, my two daughters, and my mother (ages 26–76), and every one of us absolutely LOVED Arina Beach. My youngest daughter has additional support needs, and the hotel catered perfectly to all of us. Our family maisonette with pool access was ideal, and we spent many happy hours on the deck. The room was kept spotless by our cleaner, with water and soft drinks replenished daily. The food was exceptional, offering the best quality and variety I have seen in any all-inclusive hotel. We have stayed in Riu, Melia, and even Turkey's Barut Collection, and this was on par or better. The à la carte restaurants provided a lovely alternative to the buffet, although the buffet itself left us spoilt for choice. The restaurant manager keeps everything running like clockwork. The bar staff were incredibly friendly and really went out of their way to ensure we had a brilliant time. Special thanks to Olga at the pool bar and to Albi (“vitamins”) at the main bar! We also have to praise the fantastic animation team, including Anistasiia (yoga & Zumba), Mattei, and especially the lovely Michel, who made sure we got involved and added so much fun to our stay. Make sure you try the Cretan cookery show! We did experience some minor issues, including some accidental damage caused by us, but the hotel staff were super helpful and understanding. Maintenance and housekeeping responded quickly and efficiently. Our top tip is to get out and explore Crete! We hired a car for three days and visited Ierapetra, Agios Nikolaos, Koutouloufari, Knossos, Rethymno, and Chania. We also took excursions to Santorini and Matala Beach (the latter recommended by Michel) – both were amazing. Even three stormy weather days failed to put a damper on our best holiday in years. Finally, we can highly recommend the spa. Three of our party enjoyed massages and came away feeling wonderfully relaxed. Even sitting by the indoor pool in so relaxing, with friendly staff on the spa reception area. We are already planning our next visit and simply cannot wait to return to Arina Beach!"
Lotus Rise Hotel
Palmera Beach
"Good bed, very nice view, good breakfast"
Porto Greco Village Beach Hotel
"The hotel looks gorgeous — white columns, blue shutters, the whole Greek-island fantasy. Sadly, the dream ends the moment you step into the restaurant you miss instantly miss plane food. Every day it was the same sad buffet crime scene: curry fish (again), greasy mystery sauces, and bacon showing up like an uninvited relative — morning, noon, and night. Spaghetti and potatoes on repeat. Not a Greek dish in sight, unless you count the one time they brought out aubergines — which, frankly, felt like a cry for help. The “Greek salad” made a daily appearance too, looking as tired as I felt by day three. The tomatoes were so lifeless I nearly offered them CPR. Desserts? Always the same. Breakfast? Fine, if you enjoy a sense of déjà vu with your coffee. The staff were nice, bless them, but apparently think they’re running a luxury taxi syndicate: €50 to the airport! Now, about that “private beach.” ? Picture a pile of rocks — and they charge €15 a day to lie on it! No thanks And if you fancy watching TV to forget about dinner, good luck — no satellite, so it’s SpongeBob in German or Polish reality shows. Beautiful hotel. The Beach? Yes if you fancy pay for unwanted chiropractic session. The food ? a not-so-greek tragedy."
