The room was comfortable and well-appointed with a nice view, and the hotel has a subtle warmth to its decor. The check in staff and concierge were friendly and helpful. The main Italian restaurant is quite good and the breakfast was well done. The bar is trying too hard to be trendy and the service speaks more to arrivistes than guests just looking to enjoy a drink or solo meal—honestly rather disappointing. Overall it would seem the best option in Hobart and quite strong for a small city, though I’m not sure on what list they could claim to be top 50… Aman or Rosewood or a Peninsula it is not.

Great staying experience, spacious room and clean&sleek amenities

The Tasman is a great hotel to stay if you want to be near the waterfront During our stay, we happened to chance upon the Dark Mofo Winter Feast and also had the chance to go to the nearby Salamanca Market which was just behind the hotel Owen the hotel receptionist was very welcoming and attentive The room was spacious with adequate amenities provided. One downside to mention was that the water pressure was rather weak and having to shower for a long time due to the weak shower made the experience not as pleasant. Would be wonderful if there was a bath tub too!

Good stay in overall

This is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I don't know if the room has been cleaned seriously. There are no slippers, the tea bags in the bar are empty, and the note left by the previous guest is still in the room. The most annoying thing is that the electric curtains in the room are broken. I asked a worker to repair it. The worker said that there was no engineer to repair it that day, so it could only be like this. They gave us three eye masks and asked us to make do with it. I called the front desk and asked them to see if they could change the room. The front desk looked and said that there was no room to change. They threw their hands and had no way to do it, and there was no apology. The next day, I returned to the hotel and found that the cups we brought were missing. I asked Ctrip to help contact the hotel. It turned out that the room service took our cups to the kitchen. In order to get the two cups back, the room service asked me to write them an email at first, attaching photos of the cups. I refused because I didn't know how long it would take to find them after the email exchange. Later, they went to find them immediately after I communicated with them on the phone. While waiting for the cups to be delivered, I wanted to drink water with the hotel cups, and found that the bottom of the cups in the tea bar was a sticky layer of unknown substance. I don't know how long it has not been washed. Ctrip said that the hotel would communicate with me for compensation, but no one from the hotel contacted me.

The room was big and nice, I will choose to stay here next time I go to Hobart.

The room is new, clean and the staff is friendly

I stayed here for three days and felt that I didn’t have enough. I found it the most comfortable place to stay among all the hotels in Tasmania. It is indeed the capital of Tasmania. First of all, the location is excellent. You can see the port from the room. Turn right after exiting the lobby. Behind the hotel is the Salamanca Saturday Market, but they start closing their stalls at 3 p.m. Please take advantage of the time and take a look. Everything inside is more expensive than outside, especially the food. The breakfast at the hotel is top-notch. I have never had such a rich and delicious breakfast anywhere: free cherries, free smoked salmon, free artichokes in oil, a variety of fresh vegetable salads, adzuki beans, and accompaniments. There are two kinds of eggplants, and in the next few days there will be strawberries, wild mushrooms fried in butter, ice sparkling water, fresh fruit milkshakes, healthy and fresh. Of course, you can also order a variety of coffee and an omelette (there is a menu). What is dramatic is that almost all rooms in the hotel cannot open windows, which is very disadvantageous for people like me who absolutely need fresh air. Later, with the intention of giving it a try, I asked the hotel to provide a room with windows. The hotel actually agreed and moved me directly to the hotel's rooftop balcony. . . You don’t have to do it yourself. The hotel staff will help you move your luggage to the new room, but you have to pay the difference of 50 Australian dollars (worth it). You can see the history of the hotel. The roof was built in 1920. I lived on the roof! It feels very warm. After comparing, I realized that their service is really good. Oh, by the way, the airport bus comes and gets off at the second stop, and it's only a few minutes' walk away.

The check-in service during Christmas was attentive. The hotel building has a historical introduction. The restaurant is delicious but a bit expensive. Mineral water can be added to the room. A card was given for Christmas. Small details added to the good impression.

The room is clean and warm

The location is very good. It is only a 2-minute walk from Skybus Station ②, and it is very close to the pier and the market. The service is very good and understands the needs of customers. Accessories are favorite brands, too. The room I stayed in is on the 4th floor, which is an ancient building. Visually, the 5th-7th floors are covered. Waking up in the old house, the hotel's breakfast is rich and delicious in Peppina's restaurant.
