QingZiYunChuan Hotel

The Qingci Yunchuan Hotel is relatively new. It's situated at the cultural center of the Chilechuan Grassland, where you'll find 'A Grand Horse Celebration,' a must-see performance in Hohhot. However, it's worth noting that this is a man-made grassland developed later; the truly pristine, original Chilechuan alpine grassland is located elsewhere. The Qingci Yunchuan Hotel is conveniently located right next to the 'A Grand Horse Celebration' performance venue. After watching the show, which finishes at 9:30 PM, we were back in our room within 5 minutes, which was incredibly convenient. The next morning, we took advantage of the cool weather and the absence of crowds to visit the adjacent Chilechuan Grassland Eco-Park. If you go later in the day, you might not even be able to rent an electric scooter to get around. The hotel's view rooms offer a direct sightline to the racecourse. When there are races, this location is absolutely prime; you can easily watch them from your room or your room's terrace. After booking our room, we proactively contacted hotel staff member Shang Chen. He patiently answered all our questions and even helped us upgrade to a view room. He was incredibly helpful and enthusiastic. During check-in, every staff member was fantastic. A special shout-out goes to a young lady surnamed Tong, who went out of her way to patiently show us around the room. Our assigned standard view rooms (505 and 506) were ideally located on the 5th floor. From there, we had an unobstructed view of the racecourse and the vast grassland. The room facilities were new and of good quality, the bedding was comfortable, and we also received complimentary welcome fruits and yogurt. If possible, I highly recommend choosing a room with a terrace on the 5th floor; the view is excellent, and the air circulation is better than in rooms without a terrace. The breakfast selection was extensive, featuring special milk tea and authentic Mongolian dishes. I particularly recommend the lamb offal soup; it's very traditional and delicious! The hotel's streamlined exterior design is very grand and impressive; it looks stunning under a blue sky, making for great photos. Overall, our stay was extremely satisfying!

The hotel is a beautiful building nestled in the grasslands. While the interior was quite standard, it was perfectly comfortable. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. Right outside the hotel, there are many opportunities for horse riding, and you can also find activities like leading lambs and go-kart rentals. Breakfast featured local delicacies. However, dining options in the immediate vicinity were quite limited. On a positive note, the locals here are all very kind. There's also a cafe right next to the hotel, and the young staff working there were particularly lovely! The hotel has a freezer, and I had my first taste of a pre-made chocolate-filled Tanghulu – it was surprisingly tasty!
