Guilin Hostels

The hotel is new and nicely decorated. The location is superb and it is right next to a police station. What I found inconvenient was that the host was hardly at the counter. We had to 20 minutes to check in and there was no one when checking out and leave our bags for storage. The room we originally booked was unavailable and we had to wait over an hour till it was ready (it was after check in time). The host was friendly enough and tried to fix issues but she seemed distracted from other jobs

Environment: The environment is quite good. Stepping out from the first floor, you're greeted by a mountain view, perfect for quietly relaxing. The common area on the first floor is also great, which is definitely a plus. Cleanliness: Very poor. The bathroom cleanliness is subpar. If you're particular about hygiene, be aware. Also, having mixed-gender occupants on the same floor sharing a bathroom is quite inconvenient. Hostels I've stayed in before at least had bathrooms that weren't so mini and generally this unhygienic. Room: It's alright. There's a faint woody scent. The bed curtains seem quite old, as most of the hooks have fallen off. Perhaps booking a private room (double bed) would be better. Service: Very frustrating. I arrived quite early, and the beds weren't fully booked, but I was assigned the most inconvenient, hardest-to-climb bed in the corner. I then had to go up and down five flights of stairs twice to change it. Overall, it's just so-so.

Very good, the owner is also very nice and welcoming. Because we were going to Liuzhou the next day, the owner also told us which mode of transportation was more convenient, which saved us some money. Thank you very much. If I have the opportunity to come to Yangshuo next time, I will definitely stay in this B&B

This is a standalone building with plenty of seating in the common areas on the first floor. It's conveniently located just over 100 meters from the ancient town's bus station, making it easy to get anywhere. It's also quite close to the 20 RMB checkpoint. The front desk staff were very nice as well.

I asked via trip.com how to get from xingping to the hostel they gave me a name which I couldn't find on amap so I asked the host from xingping to call them and ask to send me the name in chinese. They said they didn't know im coming from xingping and therefore they gave me this info. Then they said I need to get off at the bus station instead, its 3km from the hostel. When I arrived after 2pm no one was there and it was closed.i had to ask a lady across hotel to call them and tell im there. They gave her the pin so I could enter. I waited till they came not for long time. The girl gave me some infos what to see in yangshuo. When I got back around 8pm no one was there again so I had to communicate via trip.com which worked. It was noisy until 12 from street then until 2 or 3 am the people who stayed in hostel acted like they were there alone. The receptionist offered to take me to bus station for 10yuan which was super helpful and convenient. But nothing to complain f this price.

Hygiene: Hygiene is very clean Facilities: The only thing that the equipment is good is that there is no elevator. It would be better if there is an elevator. Environment: Good environment, eating is very convenient, just behind Service: The service is very good and very warm

Overall experience was good, boss was cooperative and nice, Location was great near west street but it’s my suggestion if boss can tell the rules to every person. At 12:30 am i was sleeping, one of person came and talk loudly for half of hour with someone and disturbed by sleep, So it would be great if boss give instructions to not talk loudly after 10,11pm.

I booked this B&B after reading the reviews. It was just as described in the reviews. The owner was friendly, the place was clean, and it was close to the airport, so the girl felt safe there.

I booked a bed in a 4-bed dormitory, with AC. Because the room was not clean enough, i got an upgrade in a private bunked bed room, with a private bathroom. All was clean. Laundry facilities. The WiFi was good. The staff is very nice and friendly. The location is very convenient. I would definitely recommend this place for a short or a long stay.

The last two pictures are of the Youth Hostel. The first one is on the seventh floor with stairs. Those with big boxes should be careful. The takeaway guy actually brought the rice noodles I ordered to me. It might be the off-season. I was the only one in the whole Youth Hostel and didn't see the boss. Guilin is still very fun. I couldn't finish three taels of Guilin rice noodles for 6 yuan. I was so full. The 8.9 yuan I ordered for the two dishes at Pinhao Fan was delicious. The price was reasonable. The Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas and Elephant Trunk Hill were also very nice. After playing for a day, I went to Yangshuo. The prices there were much more expensive than in Guilin. This restaurant has a lot of graffiti and is very sentimental. I will come again, but I am a little scared to be alone.
