GGuest UserLocated inside a housing compound. GPS navigation brought me to the door, which was fortunate as it would be hard to find otherwise. They could do with a sign in English – meanwhile, look out for the Chinese characters 观海. It looks like you're arriving at the back door of a ground floor apartment. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, using a translation app where necessary. The atmosphere is cheerfully scruffy and youthful, with hundreds of visitors' signature all over the walls. Facilities are basic – the showers are over squat toilets (plenty of water though), and there are no drinking water refill machine (buy plastic for 1 yuan at the reception). The lobby area is tiny – they actually advertise the sofa bed in the lobby as a single-occupancy. Not a great idea – don't confuse it with a tiny single room as I did. They upgraded me to a dorm room. The mattress is not soft. The location is good for a visit to May 4th Square and the seafront. Overall, it was okay to doss here one night, but I found Kaiyue Hostel much better value.

WWanwandefeng~The room is clean and comfortable, the environment is pleasant, the location is easy to find, and it is very close to Exit D of the subway station, which makes it very convenient to go out. The guy is very enthusiastic and the service is considerate. We had a meal together at the end, which was very delicious. All friends who go out during the summer vacation and holidays are welcome to come over.

MM358862****I booked this hotel for my return flight, and the experience was really bad. I reserved a standard room, but both beds had hair on them. The cleaning staff also forgot to put disposable toiletries in the toothbrush holder, and there was hair in there too... I suspect the towels and bath towels weren't changed either, because laundered and ironed towels are usually a bit stiff, not soft and limp. I grabbed a towel and a bath towel to use for padding my clothes, and then when I looked back, the ones still hanging on the rack hadn't been touched, so I immediately didn't dare use them... The positives are that it was indeed cheap, only a little over a hundred yuan during the National Day holiday, and they offer 24-hour airport shuttle service. When I checked in at night, the front desk girl was all by herself, busy helping to change the sheets, and her attitude was consistently good. However, if you can't accept the downsides I mentioned earlier, I wouldn't recommend trying to save money here... Oh, I forgot to mention, even though it's a bit far from the airport and has soundproof windows, you can still hear planes taking off and landing at night, so it's not recommended for those sensitive to noise.

The room was clean and spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. I slept through the night. The breakfast was varied, and the freshly cooked noodles were highly recommended! I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the city!”

GGuest UserThe room is OK, there is no air conditioning, but the sanitation is quite clean. It is near the subway, which is OK and easy to find. The service is good and people are always there. The facilities are still quite old.
