When we went out during the day, housekeeping would clean the room, and when we returned, it was neat and tidy. The hotel is right next to the Grand Theater, and there's a free parking lot for the Grand Theater downstairs, making it very convenient to come and go. It's also only a 5-minute walk to Shilaoren Beach."
Jinze Hotel (Qingdao Taitung Pedestrian Street) ★★
"I arrived at night, and when I saw the main entrance, I was stunned. No elevator was one thing, but I heard a child crying on the first floor (it turned out to be the owner's little girl throwing a tantrum), which made me want to bolt. Climbing to the second floor, the door and the stone statues gave me goosebumps; I felt like I was about to enter a ******* house. But when I got to the third floor for check-in, the owner literally climbed through the window onto the front desk, which made me burst out laughing and instantly dispelled all my fear. The room had a vintage style, but the lighting wasn't great, the bed felt a bit damp, and the soundproofing was mediocre. There was also an indescribable smell in the room, kind of like... old foot odor? No disposable slippers were provided. However, the shower was really comfortable; the water temperature was stable, and the water pressure was strong. It's also quite close to Taitung Walking Street, within walking distance, and the price was reasonable. The owner was very nice and thoughtful, even offering to help with luggage. It's fine if you're staying with your boyfriend; the price is good, and the location is convenient. But for a solo female traveler, it honestly feels a bit unsettling, so I wouldn't really recommend it."

"Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay here. The hotel's location is excellent; it's very close to May Fourth Square and the beach, and the subway entrance is just a 2-minute walk away, making getting around incredibly convenient. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices and tasted great. The service was particularly noteworthy: the room was cleaned promptly every day, and all bath towels were sealed, which made me feel very secure. I especially want to commend the hotel's quick response time. One night at 11 PM, the drain in my room was clogged, but after reporting it, staff arrived and fixed it in just 10 minutes – incredibly efficient! Additionally, for early risers, the hotel offers a pre-booked simple breakfast to go, which is a very thoughtful touch. During peak season, there were a lot of guests, so breakfast was a bit crowded, and refilling dishes was a little slow."

"Chose the right hotel for my Qingdao vacation this time! The location is absolutely perfect; it's just a few minutes' walk to Golden Sand Beach. You can literally just slip on your flip-flops and head to the sea. Taking a stroll along the beach and enjoying the sea breeze after dinner was so relaxing. You won't find a more convenient spot on Huangdao. The room was a pleasant surprise too – spotless, with fresh-smelling bedding. You can even catch a glimpse of the sea from the balcony. The staff were incredibly enthusiastic as well. Parking was free, and they were very welcoming. The breakfast spread was quite good with a decent variety of tasty options. I'll definitely stay here again next time I come to Qingdao for the sea, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit!"

"Lovely stay at HaiTian Hotel these three nights. I originally booked a Mountain View room but didn’t realise that it doesn’t have a bathtub. Ruby 小蒋 was super hospitable, she was prompt with helping me change my room to one with a bathtub. The room was amazing, with sea view and city view on both sides of the window. Air con was slightly cold so I had to turn it off and on during my awake time. Breakfast was good with the a huge selection of delicacies and a lovely sea view. The hotel has a salon which seems very clean and professional but I didn’t have time to try it. The pool was decent and the gym was spacious and well equipped. I highly recommend this hotel and would come again in the future."

"Mid-way through our coastal road trip, we stayed at the MGM Qingdao, and frankly, everything from the amenities to the service was impeccable. The concierge proactively guided us to the underground parking, helped with our luggage, and even gave us tips on parking. Check-in at the front desk was a breeze. When we realized we were missing something, we contacted Elly from Guest Relations, who immediately arranged for it to be delivered and kindly asked if we needed anything else. The hotel environment is quiet and elegant, the guest rooms have a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom, and the bedding is wonderfully soft and skin-friendly, making for an excellent night's sleep. The concierge, front desk, and Elly were all on point with their service throughout our stay, quick to respond to requests, and genuinely polite and friendly. There was none of that typical 'five-star hotel distance,' which made our trip incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend for road-trippers!"

The gym facilities were excellent, making for a very stress-free stay. A special shout-out to Danny from the hotel for his warm and attentive service! He was quick to respond to requests and was always kind and courteous. The hotel environment is comfortable, and the five-star service truly lives up to its reputation. "Qingdao Landsea Hotel Laoshan Branch was an amazing experience! The location is superb, right next to the subway station and the Lida commercial area. It's also within walking distance to Shilaoren Beach and the Exhibition Center. The rooms are spacious and bright, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, and the zero-gravity mattress was incredibly comfortable. The service was attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast was abundant with plenty of local specialties. It's perfect for both business and leisure, highly recommended!"

"We're not fans of crowded tourist spots, and our family was looking for a quieter place to visit. Staying here turned out to be a delightful surprise. During check-in, Molly understood our preferences and, instead of just recommending popular Instagrammable places, she suggested Signal Hill Park. From there, we got a fantastic view of the red roofs and green trees, and it wasn't crowded at all. She also gave us some useful tips for getting around by taxi. Our room was clean and bright, with plenty of outlets, which was super convenient for charging our cameras and phones. The breakfast selection was rich and balanced, with a good mix of meat and vegetables. The hotel's location is great for transportation; it's easy to get to various attractions by subway or taxi. The hotel environment is quiet, so after a day of sightseeing, we could fully relax. Molly was very friendly and patiently answered all our questions. It felt really reassuring and comfortable for our family trip."

"This is the most comfortable hotel I've stayed at in Huangdao. The amenities are very high-end. The room with the ocean balls, slide, and bunk beds shaped like beer barrels was a unique touch. My kids absolutely loved it, and it made things much easier for us adults. We stayed for three nights, and the breakfast was also quite good. The restaurant next to the hotel offers both Chinese and Western cuisine. My family preferred the Chinese options, so we ate there every day of our stay. It's truly the best choice for a family-friendly hotel."

Room size: The rooms are well-equipped with full amenities, including cooking facilities, a refrigerator, a projector, and a mahjong machine. They are luxurious, comfortable, spacious, bright, and clean. Soundproofing: The soundproofing is good. Service: The host, a former soldier, provided excellent service. He saw us carrying a lot of things and proactively came over to help us carry them upstairs. Very warm and hospitable. Conveniences: There are plenty of snack stalls, BBQ joints, convenience stores, a seafood market, large supermarkets, and pharmacies nearby, making it very suitable for long-term stays."
