Amazing
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, with convenient access to public transportation, as the bus/tram stop is right next door. It's a straight shot to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and Nijo Castle and Kyoto Imperial Palace are very close by. The hostel is within a 15-minute walk of the Kamo River and Hanamikoji. You can also take a direct bus to attractions like the Philosopher's Path.
The area is lively, with plenty of shops and malls nearby.
The room is quite quiet. The front desk staff doesn't speak Chinese, only English and Japanese. The main topics of communication were confirming accommodation details, collecting accommodation tax, asking if paid pajamas were needed, noting that one key card opens all locks, and providing the room number and floor (my female dorm was on the first floor, to the left of the elevator once you enter). Disposable toiletries can be picked up near the elevator.
Overall, it's clean and hygienic. The vanity area/showers/toilets/individual locker area/washing machine (not sure if it's coin-operated) are all available. The functional area signs aren't very obvious; the toilets are located within the washroom area.

DDoujiang123The Millennials Kyoto Capsule Hotel
Great location and clean environment, with a really well-designed common area. Even though it's a capsule hotel, it offers good privacy and comfort. I had a great experience staying for several nights in a row, and I'd definitely consider coming back here on my next trip to Kyoto.

Amazing
SshoTTshoI booked this hostel because I was going to Mt. Fuji the next morning, and it's very convenient as it's close to Kyoto Station. The guy at the front desk was really nice and gave me a lot of helpful information during check-in. The common area on the first floor was quite busy in the evenings with people eating, and it's very well-equipped, even having a fridge, which was great. The sleeping areas were quiet, and the other girls in my dorm were also very quiet at night, so I had a good rest. Earplugs were also provided in the room if needed. Overall, it's a fantastic hostel! ☺️

GGuest UserI live on the upper bunk. After checking in, the boss gave me a door code so that you can open the door when you come back late. After 11 o'clock, the boss is not in the store and has to go home. At about 5 o'clock, the boss started to prepare breakfast. The main advantages of this restaurant are: 1. The boss has a good service attitude and a warm atmosphere; 2. The breakfast made by the boss is the biggest highlight, free, with a wide variety of ingredients and relatively fresh; free coffee is provided in the evening; 3. There is a small courtyard, which is convenient for smokers to satisfy their craving; 4. It is very close to Dongshan Metro Station, only minutes' walk away; 5. The price is relatively affordable. If there is a shortcoming, the space in Room 9 is a bit cramped, but for backpackers, it doesn’t matter. It seems a bit small and a little inconvenient for those with a family.

Great
GGuest UserFab capsule hotel! The only thing that I would change is how loud the blinds are but that was only a minor issue. The bathroom even had two rooms that were fully equipped with baths! I’ve never seen that in a hostel before. Great location, everything was spotless, the staff were lovely, overall 10/10. Thank you!

Great
GGuest UserKyoto was the main stop on this trip, so I had high expectations for this hotel in Omiya. It's about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto's most prosperous Shijo shopping street, which isn't too close, but still very convenient. There are bus stops and subway stations nearby, so getting around is still very convenient. However, if you want to avoid walking, it's best to book a room in Shijo. There's free housekeeping once every three nights, but we didn't tell the front desk before 8 p.m. one night in advance, so we didn't use it. The toothbrush was very difficult to use, much worse than the hotel in Nagoya.
GGuest UserThe price and atmosphere are both great. I'm not sure about the opening hours, but it was a bit late when we arrived. It was a good experience with friends, and we got to try a Japanese-style room. The bed was very comfortable. Recommended!
永永露江未子The room is clean, large and reasonable. It is very close to the station.
There was also a coin laundry. There was a large refrigerator and a microwave.
The room was large, so it was relaxing and very comfortable.
I would like to use it again.
FFloria SThis hostel it is clean, good location, even if you are 2 km from main popular street is easy to get around.
The issues: you can’t really sleep here if u get snoring people as ur neighbors rooms. I ve booked 7 days but I had to cancel the lasts 2 because was really hard to sleep and I was having only ~4h sleeping. And at 7/8 am people are already moving and waking up and because of the isolation of the ceiling(pic) is very easy to hear absolutely anything, any little move. In the first night staying here, after a person snoring so much until 2 am , it woke up go toilet and after it put reels on big volume at more than 2 am, I had to go all the way to knock at his door bcz I imagine it was a guy. The single issue with the mixed floor is this, if you put a girl with only men and they snoring, that girl can’t have any good sleep, if u put only girls and some men but they snoring, all girls will get mad bcz I wasn’t the single one after the first day. In the last night the snoring man wasn’t in the room anymore and they were more girls I ve heard. So if this hostel wants to make a mixed floor then I think they can think of putting only young people with young people and older people with older. Or maybe only 1 floor women and another men and the rest floor mixed idk. They can think of something. Also , there is water dispenser only at 5 th floor! Why they don’t have one next to reception? All the people from down have to climb all the stairs for a glass of water everyday until 5th?
And there is the sharing space only at 5th floor where is the water too but again, a person that needs to talk to phone and to not destroy other peace , has to go or outside the hostel or in toilets or at 5th floor… it is a bit of a struggle these things. And for the double rooms u can put a small electric kettle for morning coffee I think and a glass and a spoon. To not get all the way up to 5th floor, if it wasn’t complicated to get all the way up I would have gone to make coffee there too but I tried one morning when I was still not awake and it was a bit of a struggle. That’s all. Oh. And the beds are really comfortable and very soft, too bad I couldn’t enjoy a good sleep in them. And after I canceled the lasts 2 days I didn’t receive back the city tax:)) is not big money at all but details makes the difference.
