Beautiful hotel, clean, perfect position, near Danxia peak (about 15 min upstairs) to see both sunset and sunrise. Very nice breakfast with multiple options and even western options. There are also two heavy jackets in every room you can use for free due to lower temperature at night. Recommended.

Clean and functional, good a night stay on top of huangshan. Room size a bit small for price paid vs city but expected at such high elevation location.
Near to attraction on mountain like xihai canyon.

The hotel was located in an awkward area, which isn’t easily accessed when the nearby cable car isn’t active. I wish we’d been told when booking. We had to hike over an hour just to arrive at the hotel, lugging our luggage. You can pay to have workers carry it (which felt so wrong but we physically couldn’t carry it back). The hotel assisted in this, which was nice—but suddenly, we found the price climbing higher and higher as we talked with them. The restaurant food wasn’t great, either. I don’t eat meat and I about near starved, haha. There was smoking inside too, which wasn’t pleasant. The room itself was nice for a night. There were jackets and torches inside, the hotel alerted us to the weather conditions. All in all, a bit of a mixed bag!

Nice cosy hotel at the base of Danxia Peak and entrance of Yihuan of Xihai Valley.
The hotel has no lift, got to climb stairs; we stayed on 6th floor, a little tiring after trekking Huangshan.
The breakfast and buffet dinner are sumptuous. Friendly staff.

Although the price is definitely a little high, it makes sense for a hotel situated on top of a mountain. The public areas were bright and spotless. The room I booked was comfortable and mostly clean. The bathroom did have bits of black on the ceiling. Can’t beat the location though, as it’s close to a great spot to watch the sunset/sunrise.
Appreciate especially the helpful service and timely communication from Kai at the front desk, who was also kind enough to share his photography of the night sky. I was able to get a few cool shots at a scenic outlook he had recommended.
Maybe because I went a little late, but the dinner buffet was pretty mediocre. Overall a very good stay. Would book again, but maybe choose other food options.
