"I don’t know where to begin ! This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in many . The staff are wonderful they cannot do enough for you nothing and I mean nothing is to much trouble , the front desk staff took care of all of our booking for excursions, extremely knowledgeable and very nice looking !! The lady that made up our room was wonderful,she was so thoughtful and really did care about us , she was worried we missed breakfast and came to check on us , breakfast was staggering ! There was so much choice and all fresh , the owner/manager checked on us everyday to make sure we had everything we needed. I would 100% recommend staying here it is 5* luxury , I forgot to mention the comfy beds , fabulous roof terraces and the location , the views , balloons , I could go on but all I can say is don’t book anywhere else this hotel has everything"

"A homey hotel with a very kind dog, Odin. I arrived late afternoon and stayed for three nights. The hotel also allowed me to wait for my evening bus in their living/ dining room on my last day. The room that I stayed was cozy and clean. Beautiful and carefully designed. A space with a heart. Simple breakfast but enough to start the day. Definitely thinking to stay here again next time I come back to Goreme. Thank you!

"The cave room was beautiful and spacious, the auntie who prepared breakfast was very welcoming, the breakfast portion was sufficient, but there was no freshly brewed coffee. There was no carpet on the upstairs terrace for taking photos. Maybe the hot air balloon was not flying that day, so I couldn’t take photos. What a pity! I hope to see a hot air balloon take off next time."

"This hotel is run by a family. When I reach there it was 7 in the morning and the room was not ready yet. The weather was so cold. The receptionist invited me to have a breakfast while waiting for the room and best of all, it FREE OF CHARGE. The breakfast was good. The whole family was so friendly and treated me very well.
Location wise, considered its in the centre of Goreme town. 400m from the bus station.
Room was clean and very cozy. Huge too!"

"When I first arrived, I booked a hotel for one night. But their owner and staff were very friendly, and just the newly opened hotel, he and he also invited me to take their four-wheel drive and off-road vehicle outside for a test drive, the experience was very good. And the boss is also very enthusiastic, often proactively asking us, what do we need to improve? Also, it is his rooftop decorated very beautifully. Meilun, beautiful, can walk from a very close angle, see the starry sky of hot air balloons and the feeling of floating. Next time I come back, I will definitely continue to choose. The owner of this hotel is very. Good people worth recommending"

"Stayed 5 nights. I felt pretty good when I first moved in. The room was large and the one we stayed in had a private balcony. What is surprising is that the mineral water in plastic bottles is not free (we have been in Turkey for more than 10 days and have never encountered this situation); although it may be written on the price list and the price is not much, but Leaving this place always makes people feel stingy and disappointed. In terms of facilities, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, and the air conditioning is not very good. It is a bit difficult to handle the almost 40 degree weather in August. As for breakfast, maybe because I stayed there for a long time, I felt that the variety was a bit limited."

The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had one of the best nights of sleep. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of fresh and flavorful options to start the day.
The location was ideal—peaceful yet conveniently close to key attractions. I felt pampered and relaxed throughout my stay.

AAnonymous UserOur two-night stay here was unfortunately disappointing. We were given a room on the ground floor which had several issues during our stay. Part of the cave ceiling fell shortly after we checked in and so there was stone debris strewn around the room and on top of one of our suitcases. Thankfully our suitcase was closed. We swiftly complained to reception who told us that these issues do happen as it is a cave and assigned the cleaner to clean the mess. We left to explore town for a few hours and came back fully expecting the mess to already be cleaned but it had not been. There is only one cleaner for the entire hotel and so, cleaning services are not as prompt as it can be but it was eventually sorted.
Cleanliness is another issue that we encountered. The room was dusty and the floors were quite dirty. Walking barefoot in our room was not an option. Dust covered some surfaces, particularly the hair dryer in the bathroom, that was not functioning. We would also periodically find fine rock debris on our items that we left on the bathroom counter.
Furthermore, while breakfast was delightful and there was a nice range of things to choose from, we were shocked at how the food was not served and covered properly. It was left exposed during the entire dining time and as it is summer now, flies were hovering constantly.
Amenities were also dissatisfying. The broken hairdryer aside, there were only three lamps in our cave room which had no windows. So as can be imagined, it was incredibly dark. On our last day, two of the lights went out and so we had to pack our luggages with the door wide open just so we could see. The air-conditioner was barely functioning so the room was sweltering in the morning. It was better at night but we had to sleep without the blankets in order to be comfortable. Lastly, the glass shower had no door and looked to have been broken.
That said, the staff members were kind and welcoming and tried their best to attend to our needs, albeit not always swiftly. We did take into consideration that this is a cave hotel and that infrastructural issues are to be expected. However, the hotel itself does not seem to be maintained well. I am sure there are plenty of cave hotels that do not have the issues listed. There is ongoing construction happening at the rooftop area though so that might be the cause? Furthermore, as it is a small hotel (I hesitate to even classify it as that - it feels more like a bed and breakfast), the staff itself is small and so, service can be slow.
All in all, it is a good option if you want to have an authentic cave experience that is not as expensive as the others and that is conveniently located in the town centre close to all the good eateries. Just make sure to adjust your expectations and to be prepared for issues to arise that though are minor, are too numerous to be overlooked.
Side note: do not get a taxi to the airport from the hotel. Quoted at 60 Euros while the taxi stand 5 mins away from the hotel can take you there for a little over 2000 Liras.

NNeol TooI had an incredible experience at Sultan Cave Suites during my recent stay. From the moment we landed, the hotel provided a free ride from the airport to the hotel, making our arrival smooth and stress-free. The staff went above and beyond, with a special shout-out to a wonderfully helpful team member who assisted me with my heavy luggage, proving that strength comes in all forms.
What truly impressed me was the staff's local knowledge. Despite being a petite individual, one staff member knew the area like the back of her hand. She not only recommended fantastic nearby markets and restaurants but also guided us to a hidden gem for a delightful breakfast experience.
Late check-in wasn't an issue at all. The staff graciously helped us order food during the night, ensuring we didn't go to bed hungry. The hotel's strategic location near the airport was incredibly convenient for our transit stay. The next morning, they provided a reasonably priced shuttle service to ensure we caught our flight on time, completing the seamless experience.
I also have to mention the delightful night staff member who was not only cute but also warm and friendly. Her willingness to share local insights added a personal touch to our stay.
In summary, Sultan Cave Suites is a gem for transit flight stays. I'm grateful for the exceptional service and will undoubtedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers.

This cave hotel is a hidden gem in Goreme and one of the newest cave hotels. We had booked the Superior Cave Queen Room with jacuzzi that was very clean, and easily fit 3 of us.! It was such a lovely experience in the cave and has to be one of my favourite places that l have ever stayed.
We had breakfast included which had a spectacular view of Gerome as well as the hot air balloons. The lovely girls at breakfast were very kind and always cooked us lovely eggs in the morning.
Perfect location which was walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. Our favourite place was Quick China which was a short walk. There were stunning carpet shops and we ended up buying a pretty carpet from Dowry Carpets.
The staff have a lot of experience and knowledge of the area and have a variety of tours and experiences to explore. We booked the hot air balloon with the hotel which I would recommend to all. It was an unforgettable experience and was our highlight of the trip. Truly magical!
Finally I would like to extend a huge thank you to the amazing staff - Mehmet, Mehmet (Junior), Mehdi and Noor.
Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating to all our needs. They always ensured we were comfortable and messaged throughout the day to see if we needed anything.
Mehmet made a huge effort for my sister's birthday and it was a lovely surprise.
I would definitely recommend this cave hotel to whoever wants to have a memorable experience in Cappadocia. Oh and the most cutest cat of Hira Hotel - Duman. We miss him!

WWinda Soo AnnLove it! Location is in the middle of the town near the main road. It has a lovely roof for balloon sightings too. Service is great and room is clean, breakfast has a nice spread. Only thing is that the cave room can get stuffy, because we stayed in Nov which is the start of Winter hence no air-conditioning. But would stay here again!

GGuest UserI stayed at this lovely hotel for four nights. It's located slightly up a hill but not all the way up, so it made it very easy to get away from all the hustle & bustle of the tourists on the main street, but yet still have the charm & proximity to beautiful architecture, restaurants and shopping. The staff is very accommodating, and the environment is very chill. In addition, there are two little furry staff members, sometimes three, who will run the courtyard and keep you company.
Upon checking in, they informed me that if I wanted to include breakfast with my stay, all I needed to do was let them know how many times I dined at checkout. Also, I needed laundry to be done, therefore dropped it off in the morning by 10:00 a.m. and had it back by early evening. They also said just pay upon checkout. They are very trusting! No one checks you at the restaurant for your room number! One load was $10€, but I will say don't expect them to fold everything. I dropped everything off in my own laundry bag, and it was pretty much shoved back in there! You also have to be specific with what you want hung dry too. They have an iron in the reception area should you need it.
The rooms are nicely decorated in a rustic style. It's a decent size, but they are rather dark. I had a hard time putting on makeup before going out. 😂 The bed was rather comfy. The water pressure was absolutely fantastic, and the water gets hot quick too!!
There are several delicious restaurants within 2 to 3 minutes walking distance ... Taste of Mama (Gözleme), Omru (rooftop), TUMA (rooftop), INCI, and Keyif (rooftop & great music).
Overall, a very pleasant stay in a lovely location. I would definitely return!

GGregStaff was great. They had a breakfast that was filling. The main thing I want to tell you is that I booked a balloon trip online. It was 3 times more expensive than booking through the hotel. Even just random ballon bookings discovered through walking the streets, were actually much cheaper to book and around 100 euros. So with that being said, stay here and they will assist in booking the balloon flight for you. Also know the ballon ride pickup is at 4 am. The hotel was very big and had many areas to relax. The view from this hotel was great for seeing the balloons too. The walk into town from the hotel is long walk, and down hill. We left after checkout to explore, and stored our luggage. We took a taxi back. I believe it was Rose taxi. The taxi company was also great and accommodating. Took us to get luggage, and then to mall. And picked us up and took us to airport. So all in all, it was a great stay that started with this hotel.
