"Its a 10-min walk from the nearest train station. It has a beautiful view from the balcony where u can sit and have a coffee. Spacious room and had a bath tub so its a plus point. The room is clean. I love everything abt this place. Will definitely recommend this to our friends and families"

"I could definitely see why this hotel has such high ratings. It's less than a two-minute walk from Zermatt train station.
The hotel has a cozy Alpine style, and the room was much larger and more comfortable than I expected.
It was great to see that both the room and the bathroom were maintained in pristine condition.
The breakfast was truly, truly excellent. It was such a clean and well-presented spread that no further explanation is needed. I was absolutely amazed by the breakfast throughout my entire three-day stay.
Another great advantage of this hotel is the afternoon tea time (from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM). The coffee, drinks, and soft bread perfectly relieved the pressure of Zermatt's incredibly high prices.
This is the best hotel, and I would love to visit again if I get the chance."

"I specifically booked a room with a Matterhorn view, but was extremely disappointed to find a metal scaffolding directly obstructing the view from my window. The hotel did not notify or explain this either prior to my arrival or during check-in. Furthermore, the dinner main course offered no options, consisting only of cheese, pickles, and three small potatoes."

"A typical small European hostel, but for Switzerland, this price is fair. The breakfast is quite generous. However, it's pretty far from the train station, which is really inconvenient if you have luggage, unless you're willing to shell out for a taxi within the town. But then again, if I'm staying in a hostel, why would I want to spend extra money on a taxi? Zermatt truly is incredibly beautiful though!!"

"1. This hotel apartment has no front desk. After 4 pm, it is impossible to manually check-in. The machine can be on the machine. The machine is very slow. We also encountered the problem of credit card payment errors. After the call service staff waited for 15 minutes for people to come over to solve it. The service attitude is very good, but this is really inconvenient, especially after we slipped for a day of snow, and pulled the big box and small box very hard to get here.
If it arrives at 4 pm, it is recommended to go to the next Alpen Resort hotel (the message is in the first picture) first check-in and then come over, otherwise you have to be frozen if you can't get in. 😅
2. The hotel is very good, the room is large, you can cook, we ate a few days of white rice can not stand, go to the COOP supermarket next to buy ingredients, make the simplest and most classic tomato scrambled eggs, chili fried meat, green vegetables, very satisfied 🤭
3. The room has a balcony, you can sit on the balcony to watch the snow-capped mountains and the town scenery and drink beer, it must be very pleasant. However, we were too tired to ski for a day and it was very cold, so we didn't enjoy 👻"

"The hotel was quite easy to find actually. Just follow the directions on Google Map. We had the family room which was at the top level (2 flight of stairs) and comes with a balcony. "A 3 minute walk from the train station right off of the Main Street in Zermatt and a block away from McDonald’s lol. Super clean, super cute room. The bathroom was older but I was fine with it bc it was well maintained and clean. They provided a hot water kettle and cup which I used every morning. They didn’t provide coffee, but the Coop market was down the street so I was able to get the things I needed for breakfast. There is a very mini fridge in the room, big enough for small things. "The hotel is perfect. At first when I look at the photos, I thought it would be a cozy small wooden room which is a little bit worn out. But no! Everything is so new and clean. The location is perfect! Center of everything! Breakfast got a wide range of choices too. Staff are nice. One downside of the hotel is that for me, the pillow is wayyy too flat. I have to put the towels from the bathroom under the pillow. Other than that, perfect!"

IIzzaPizzaThoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The excellent service rendered by the staff made our honeymoon much sweeter. Everyone was friendly, kind and always willing to help. Room was really nice and the extra sauna and open concept bathtub was a nice surprise! Breakfast spread was super delicious as well. Facilities like the wellness area include foot bath, infrared chairs, jacuzzi etc.

AAnonymous UserThe view is amazing. The service is really great. Someone was very enthusiastic to show me the room. This is the first time I've encountered this in Europe. Although the hotel upgraded the room and there is a large terrace, the building is too low and the view in front is blocked. I don't know if this price is for the first floor. I'm also speechless. But the hotel has three swimming pools and the facilities are great. But the first floor room has a smell. It feels big. It's like the smell of wooden furniture. It's very smelly. Although they helped to deal with it, I didn't want to be sprayed with air freshener again. I didn't feel very comfortable staying for one night. There is a shuttle bus to and from the hotel. When I went there, I forgot that I had walked there. I took a detour and walked for a long time.

HHarmonickFor a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking.
The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it.
Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!

Definitely make sure to book a room with a Matterhorn view. The breakfast was generally good, though it could have used a bit more fresh fruit. Supermarkets were walking distance away, and even food options were many like macdonalds, western food, etc.
the receptionist was warm and friendly and even extended us for an early check in when rooms are available.
The hotel was overall very cozy and clean, suitable for a short stay. The necessities are provided like soap, towels, hair dryer, tissue! Just note that there is no fridge in the room if that was your concern. Other than that, perfect stay!

Upon arriving in Zermatt and taking the Gornergrat Bahn, it is highly recommended to call the hotel in advance so they can arrange luggage pickup at Riffelberg station. Pulling luggage by yourself can be quite challenging, as the path involves walking through snow and crossing ski areas.
One of the highlights of this hotel is the breathtaking and unobstructed view of the Matterhorn. The mountain is clearly visible from the hotel area, and there is truly no need to go elsewhere just to enjoy this iconic view.
The outdoor jacuzzi is a wonderful feature; however, on some days the water temperature was not warm enough, making it comfortable to use only on certain occasions.
Dinner is served as a set course menu. Each evening, there are two main dish options: one meat dish (which changes daily, such as beef, pork, or fish) and one vegetarian option. The food quality is very good and tasty, but the service is relatively slow — completing the full course takes around two hours.
The hotel is well equipped with an elevator that provides access to all floors, which is very convenient, especially when carrying belongings.

It is on the second floor in a narrow corridor. Everything else is OK. It is worth recommending. After all, Zermatt is relatively expensive.
