I have to give a huge shoutout to the staff, especially the wonderful young lady who was incredibly warm and attentive. "It is a cheap room in a beautiful place. It is very clean. The location is really beautiful. As a homestay it isn't ideal for people without transport. There is basically nothing around so you are quite reliant on the hosts for everything. But you have to ask for everything. I felt like quite a nuisance most of the time. But the mothers beef noodle soup and omelette were really excellent! They have hosted many foreigners before. Despite this communication is quite poor. The owner has WeChat so he should provide his number to guests so they can add him before they arrive. That way they can easily figure out the logistics of how to get here. Having said that once I did add the owner he was responsive and helpful."

"Two years ago, I passed by Jiaju ******* Village and regretted not staying overnight. 🤭 This time, my trip to Western Sichuan led me to choose the Light and Forest Cliff Hotel, and it was absolutely rewarding! A special thanks to the lovely ladies at the front desk for their thoughtful service. The room was clean and bright. Since we arrived a bit late that day, the front desk had already turned on the air conditioning for us, which was such a warm gesture for our tired group after a long journey. 👍 The hotel is perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the great environment; the pictures speak for themselves! Early in the morning, the misty clouds make for fantastic photo opportunities. The restaurant's dishes were also quite good. I rarely write reviews, but I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers."

The decor is Tibetan-style, and they offer delicious food. The rooms are also quite large, with plenty of hot water. The owner was very helpful, and we had delicious butter tea. Our car had some problems along the way, so we asked the owner for help. He was very helpful and brought a group of people to help us lift the car. It was truly touching!"

"The location of the B&B is very close to the gate of the scenic area, but it is very quiet at night. The owner is warm and considerate, and the whole environment is very clean and tidy. Both the public area and the room are very comfortable. There are two viewing platforms on the roof of the B&B. The viewing angle and location are great! The breakfast is even richer and you can't finish it at all! There are side dishes, staple foods, eggs, and butter tea. The valley of the entire scenic area is very large, and there are many ******* houses~ and they are all very beautiful. You can stay and slowly feel the slow pace of life. It's a great travel experience (^_^)"

Parking was incredibly convenient; the hotel has its own dedicated parking spaces, so driving here meant no parking worries whatsoever – so convenient and hassle-free. The breakfast was delicious, leaving me feeling refreshed and energized for the whole day. The service was the most heartwarming aspect. The front desk staff and other employees were incredibly welcoming and responsive, paying attention to every detail. My stay felt as comfortable and at home as possible. Overall, it was excellent value for money, and I would definitely choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommended for those traveling by car!"

Taking advantage of the fewer crowds before the May Day holiday, we planned our trip to Zhonglu ******* Village and found this guesthouse to be incredibly comfortable. We arrived from Chengdu in the evening, and the owner was very welcoming and arranged our accommodations perfectly. The third floor of the guesthouse has a spacious viewing platform where you can enjoy a whole expanse of starry sky all to yourself; the fourth floor faces Mount Mordo directly, offering a superb view! We were well taken care of as a group of two; the owner proactively asked about our needs and even recommended we try the local butter tea at breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality, and best wishes for your continued success!

After staying here for so long, this is the first B&B that is very nice from the environment to the service and the old stick. The owner will take care of the time to come to the store in advance and will also introduce local customs and attractions. The room is also very quiet and the breakfast is nice.

This B&B was my favorite during my trip to western Sichuan. Every detail was meticulously appointed, the bedding was comfortable, and the breakfast and dinner were fantastic! The owner and his family were not only warm and welcoming, but also seasoned travelers, offering us first-time visitors to western Sichuan plenty of excellent advice. The owner and his wife especially enjoyed drinking tea and reading, which perfectly matched the B&B's name!

We stayed with friends at this wonderful hotel and were satisfied! The rooms are cozy, clean, there is a stunning view of nature around, and the price is very pleasant. The interior of the hotel is decorated in a traditional style, which allows you to feel immersed in the local culture. In addition, the hosts are an incredibly friendly family that creates a truly homely atmosphere. They are very nice, cook delicious food and apples grow in their garden, which they treat the guests with! The owners are also very responsive - when I forgot the cape, they brought it to me in Danba, while again treating me to delicious fruits. Special thanks for the help with transportation and willingness to help with any questions that arise! If I have the opportunity to return to the neighborhood, I will choose this hotel!

This small yard is very comfortable, open the window is the green mountain, the small courtyard is full of flowers! The boss is good! Thanks to the boss who has never seen such a good person. When I see me eating alone, I also call me. When I leave, I will send me to the station! ! I wish the boss a prosperous business!

We had a lovely time at Ji Ye Valley hostel. The owner is a very kind and generous lady who went out of her way to help us. The food was great- lots of lovely fresh vegetables and fruits that you could pick from the garden as well as hot pot with all the trimmings. The owner gave us bags of apples and figs to take with us on our journey to Kangding, and she kindly booked the bus ticket for us in advance. We really appreciated her hospitality and patience with our lack of Chinese skills - we had to do a lot of translating on our phones. Aside from that we really enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden as well as walking the local paths up the mountain - through the old oak forests and past the ancient towers. A great experience and we really want to thank the owner for all her help and kindness.

We arrived late in the afternoon and enjoyed the beautiful view from the terrace looking out over the Zhonglu village and valley floor below. We were greeted by two golden labs that accompanied us as we strolled through the village experiencing the local culture and cuisine. Dinner was excellent, with a hot pot chicken soup with fresh vegetables as well as a delicious egg dish cook cooked in a rich, savory tomato sauce. In the morning, we enjoyed exploring the village and chatting with the locals as well as watching a local fellow building a new house. It was interesting to watch him work, carving the wood into ceiling panels that he hung without any nails or glue. We were also invited to pick as many plums as we could eat from a tree that was simply exploding with ripe juicy plums!

I had the most amazing stay during my time in China! Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed with blessings from the grandmother and a cup of fresh milk. They even upgraded my room without me asking. Since I had limited time in town, I asked the host to guide me—and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful days of my entire trip. He brought me to stunning scenic spots, temples, and towers, and we shared an unforgettable dinner. The entire family was incredibly kind and made sure I felt at home every moment. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The location is perfect—close to the bus station and surrounded by great restaurants. Don’t miss the chance to join the locals dancing in the square nearby! I couldn’t recommend this place more. Truly an experience to remember.

We had the most pleasant stay here. The guesthouse was a little hard to find in the dark, so the owner came outside to the parking to pick us up and even carried my bag. He was very welcoming, considerate and helpful during our stay. We had everything we needed, the room was beautifully decorated and clean. The provided traditional breakfast was outstanding (corn bread, rice porridge, cooked eggplant, cucumber salad and sour cabbage)! Most of the ingredients come fresh out of the garden. There is also a menu with many other delicious dishes that you can order for lunch and dinner. When we left, the owner organized the transport for us back to Danba and took us to the ”station”. We highly recommend staying in this wonderful guesthouse and gorgeous little town Jiaju!

I stayed here during a time in which water was missing in the whole city but the host was very kind and made all efforts to make my stay comfortable, bringing buckets of water to the rooms and notifying when water was available for the showers. She also speaks English and helped me to plan my trip. The structure itself is well maintained, nice and close to the bus station, I definitely recommend it.
