"One of my favourite stays in 6 months across China
Communication before arrival was smooth via WeChat, and the staff proactively helped me plan a full itinerary for the region, all in English, which as a foreign solo traveller in China I truly appreciated.
The hotel arranged a driver who picked me up directly at the train station gate and took me wherever I needed to go. I could adjust my plans at any time, and he was always there waiting or arrived right on schedule. The whole organzation was genuinely flexible and reliable.
The location of the hotel is perfect, like less than 10 minutes walking from Danxia Park West Gate, so you can catch the 5:30 AM opening for sunrise at Platform 1 and go for sunset at Platform 3.
The staff helped me to go to Binguo, Kangle Grassland, Alien Scenic Park, Pingshan Grand Canyon and Mati Temple. Over 5 days, I saw far more than I ever could have managed on my own, especially as this area is really remote and no didi is available.
It is one of my favourite trips and stays from six months in China and I’ve seen quite a bit. Would come back without hesitation."

"This hotel is huge, but luckily the signs are quite clear, otherwise, I'd definitely get lost. The facilities are pretty comprehensive, with air conditioning and a humidifier. However, the humidifier had a lot of limescale at the bottom, so I'd suggest they clean it regularly. The hotel is very close to the scenic area, just a few minutes' walk to the entrance. The hotel doesn't serve lunch, which contradicts their stated operating hours. To eat, you have to go to Qicai Town, which is about a kilometer away. Although you can order takeout, only a handful of five restaurants deliver here. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety, but the taste is just average. And the orange juice was hot, which was a bit odd."

"Very good experience. I stayed in a suite with two bedrooms and one living room. The shower was great, the room was clean and hygienic, and the breakfast was beef noodles. The hotel owner was very friendly. It is worth recommending and adds color to our trip to Zhangye. I will come again next time 😄 It's a pity that the photos of the room I took were deleted by mistake. Here are some beautiful pictures"

"Located right on a main road, less than a kilometer from the west gate of Zhangye Qicai Danxia, it's very convenient. The hostess's service was exceptionally good. We were greeted with sweet apricots upon entering, and the room was clean and tidy, odorless. In the evening, she recommended nearby specialty restaurants and a local specialty restaurant. We ordered a bit too much due to the generous portions of Northwestern cuisine. After a phone call, the hostess even offered to put our food in the refrigerator for free the next night, reheat it for free, and even gave us a few steamed buns. Such personal touches are rare. Therefore, a five-star rating. Highly recommend this place."

"Let me talk about hygiene first, very good. All disposable bath towels and face towels are given. The quilt is super soft, plus quiet, and sleeps well. Besides, the boss is very good and Lele is happy. I thought it was dry here, and I wanted to borrow a humidifier with the boss. The boss didn't have it. But I actually borrowed a brand new one for us, thank you very much, there was no nosebleed at all. I hope the boss's business is booming"

"A very good accommodation experience. The boss and his wife are kind and enthusiastic, making you feel at home. It is very close to the west gate of the scenic spot, only 500 meters away on foot. The location is good, and there are many restaurants nearby for easy dining. "Our stay at Colorful Danxia Flower House Hotel was truly exceptional—easily a 5-star experience. From the moment we arrived, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even personally helping us carry our luggage upstairs. His hospitality didn’t stop there—he kindly assisted us in booking tickets for a local show and even drove us there himself, which made our trip so much more convenient and enjoyable.
The room was spotless, one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain high standards. We also really appreciated the free laundry service, which was incredibly helpful during our travels.
The location is perfect—just a short walking distance to the west entrance of the Danxia park, making it easy to explore. Right across the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, so finding great food was effortless.
To top it all off, the owner even prepared thoughtful departing gifts for us, which was such a warm and memorable touch. His kindness and attentiveness truly set this place apart. If you’re visiting the area, this hotel is an outstanding choice."

"The room was very clean, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. It was the Mid-Autumn Festival when we checked in, and the owner even gave each guest a mooncake. Breakfast was also very good – light and not greasy. It's very close to the west gate of the scenic spot, a mere 10-minute walk. The owner even gave us fridge magnets when we left. I highly recommend this hotel. It was the best value hotel I stayed at during my trip, highly recommended! 👍"

The location was very convenient, just a five or six minute walk from the scenic area. The front desk was extremely friendly and even offered us helpful suggestions for nearby restaurants, which was very thoughtful. The room was even cleaner than the pictures showed, the bathroom was neatly maintained, and the water temperature was stable. The breakfast was homely and delicious. The location is incredible!! Just a 5-minute walk from the Danxia Scenic Area?! A perfect combination for business trips and leisure travel! The room's smart controls are amazing – just voice control to turn the lights and air conditioning on and off?! A lazy person's dream!! The bathroom is so clean it reflects light, the bed is super soft, and the soundproofing is so good you can't even hear the neighbors snoring 😴
The receptionist is incredibly kind!! She proactively highlighted important things to do and eat, her response time was lightning fast ⚡️ The night view of Danxia from the window is absolutely stunning!! I took so many photos with my phone's memory card after turning on the lights!!
As a business traveler, this is fantastic! I'll definitely bring my buddies back for another round!! Just go for it!!

There is also a supermarket a few steps away. The location is very convenient. The room is very comfortable and clean. The hotel owner, Ms. Zhang, is warm and friendly. I will stay here again if I have the chance. I took a few photos of the night market and scenery in front of the hotel.
