It is a nice hotel within walking distance to the city walls. The bed and pillows are really comfy. Breakfast selection is limited but tasty. What really stands out is the exceptional service of the reception staff and also kudos to the female chef at breakfast who is patient with our vegetarian requirement. Room and comfort - The room itself was a solid 4-star vibe: tidy, well-lit, and surprisingly quiet for a hotel in what feels like a busy area. The bed was comfortable—firm enough to support a good night’s sleep but soft enough that you don’t feel like you’re lying on a board. - Amenities: Decent desk space if you’re traveling for work, reliable Wi-Fi, and a reasonable layout. The bathroom was clean with good water pressure and a practical layout. A few small things felt a touch “budget-first” like standard toiletries and a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—but nothing deal-breaking. - Cleanliness: Overall good. Housekeeping did a thorough job during my stay, and I didn’t notice any telltale corners being overlooked. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable dropping your gear and not worrying about dirt or mess. Service - Front desk and staff: Friendly and helpful. The location is OK, next to the Xiangyang Railway Station Square. The size of the hotel is okay and the hygiene is okay. The carpet is stained in some places and looks uncomfortable. The most uncomfortable thing is that the paper bag and slippers are marked with a ”take away fee”. This is the first time I have seen this situation in a hotel in Hong Kong and Macao in the past 20 years when I have been traveling.
