"We thought this hotel has a spa. It does not. You need to walk to the other Gamalan hotel to use their rooftop spa- open only 5-9 pm with only Very hot water- over 44 c - with no signs indicating the temperature level. There is also a third Gamalan in town that we did not have access to- next to the Starbucks. Maybe that one has a spa?
The staff was friendly and helpful/ especially the breakfast staff. There is really only Asian breakfast- not Western- but ample with good variety.
Our room was nice sized with big windows and a large spa pool in the bathroom. No jets- just for soaking.
We ended up going to other hotels for their spas - and founds some nice ones. Just not at our hotel."

"The comfort/cleanliness of the family room for 4 people is average - the location is relatively close to Suao Port - it is more than 10 minutes' walk from Suao Railway Station, right? It's close! There are 7-11 supermarkets nearby - 7-11 + FamilyMart two supermarkets in the direction of the train station.
There is a Lairfu supermarket behind the station!
There are no disposable toiletries, toothbrushes and toothpaste in the room!
But there is one at the counter - if you don’t bring it, you can take it and use it!
In the room - coffee/tea bags/bottled water/instant boiling pot/towels and bath towels are provided
Comes with a quick boiling kettle - there is no adapter 3 to 2, you need to ask for an adapter at the counter!
There is no adapter attached. After using it, the tenant has to take it and return it after check-out.
Really bad! # I was even called to ask for ”adapters”~ It was very unpleasant!
The housekeeping staff haven't tidied up the room yet~ The front desk is in a hurry to find it! Very funny!

"I booked it after reading the reviews that the bed was very comfortable and the service staff was very nice. When I checked in, I found out that this is a pilgrim hotel. There seemed to be two pilgrimage groups that day. The hotel is a bit old, so the facilities are old, but basically The environment is clean. The bathtub is a very ordinary bathtub. There is a bath, but it really doesn't feel like a hot spring🤔. There is a small refrigerator, which is frozen and there are buns from guests who don't know how long ago😔. There are simple porridge and side dishes for breakfast. , toast, coffee, black tea, soy milk, very simple. I walked to the busy road last night and found that many hot spring hotels are also good. I checked and the price is not more expensive than Hongguan. I will go elsewhere next time. The bed is neat and tidy. It's not a stand-alone room but it has moderate softness and hardness. The service staff is very good. On the day of check-in, they helped us upgrade to a four-person room (originally booked for three people). We had to make a reservation for the hot spring pool (family style), but we gave up after 9.10 o'clock.

"All good on the hotel. Amenities was great but they have washing machine and no dryer. Room was huge and view was facing the beach. Very nice resort feel hotel. Only thing was the location is slightly further away from downtown, Luo Dong so need to grab an Uber or cab which may not be readily available during peak period or holidays such as new year eve."

"Took us a while to find the hotel as it is deeper inside the town. Once we were there, we realised that we were on the main street, where there is a lot of food and buzz around. Room is big, with a huge bathtub for a few people using hot spring water. Price is reasonable. Many hotels are nearby, with Jiaoxi public foot bath and night market a few steps away. KFC, Mos Burger, bubble tea etc... There is a famous bakery opposite selling delicious bread all day. Tried the famous 三星葱. Nice town to be in...will consider coming back again."

"The hotel is slightly away from yilan, but the charming and quiet neighbourhood more than makes up for that. They are many beautiful parks and activities located around (dolphin watching, farms, hot springs). The hotel also provides night snacks for guests to enjoy and mingle. We also spied at the information counter vouchers to the nearby milksha!!
Additionally, the hotel is v family friendly, as there is a games room (arcade games like basketball and air hockey, ps4 and switch!) and a library for guests to enjoy. There are also DIY acitvities for guests to sign up for. Lastly, there is a hot bath in every room for all guests to enjoy. Slippers are also provided. Very happy with our stay here!!"

Food at the restaurant was surprisingly good. Breakfast choices were adequate. Dinner is highly recommended. Well prepared, affordable and delicious.

DdyhxConvenient location in Luodong city centre, walking distance to Luodong Night Market, Luodong Forestry Cultural Park with a supermarket and convenience stores nearby too. The hotel is on level 6 within a building with a few other accommodation chains and offices. There's a car park just opposite the building. I love the decor here, from the clean, sleek interior at reception to the rooms. There are instant coffee and tea bags, and hot/cold filtered water on tap available at the common area just in front of the reception that is open to all guests. They have just 18 rooms here, in varying room types, sizes and interior design but they all look great! I love the use of positive messages on coloured backgrounds for the doors. I had a corner room which was spacious and clean. Bed and pillow were a little softer than I would like but that's just personal preference. Basic amenities are provided and I love the open wardrobe concept too.
The staff here are amazing. So helpful, so friendly. I'm particularly impressed by the location map they've put together to share with guests on recommended food to try in the vicinity and mostly on point! For this price, it's super value for money.

TteofrancesOur 2 nights’ stay was well above our expectations! We had a late check-in as we met with unexpected delay due to road works at the mountains in Yilan. Reaching the Wellspring feeling weary, we were delighted with our room upgrade upon arrival. The thoughtfulness, tasteful furnishings and details in the room were a delight while the cosy private onsen was a wonderful highlight! The buffet breakfast had a spectacular spread and was indeed scrumptious, just as I had read in the reviews before I made the reservation. We absolutely loved our stay at Wellspring by Silks Jiaoxi. EEuniceWBefore we arrived, I emailed the hotel to require assistance from hotel to check for private charter car service for YiLan and the staff was very responsive and helpful.
Upon arrival, front desk staff was a little cold (unlike what people mentioned in the reviews). We were swiftly checked in and could go up to the room.
Hotel lobby is very cosy and welcoming, but the rooms are starting to look a little old with moulding and wear and tear. Very large, spacious and clean room. If I'm not wrong, the water to fill up the tub is not hot spring water but just normal tap/shower water. If you're looking for a hotel with with hot spring water, do take note.
Location of the hotel is great though. We were very near Jiaoxi bus transfer station and managed to walk to our hotel within 5 mins. There are restaurants and fast food, bar, and a shopping area nearby. Jiaoxi hot spring night market (only open on Sundays) is 4mins drive away and Yilan train station was 10mins on foot.
Breakfast service was great! Staff were quick to clear and set up tables without making us feel like we were being chased out. They were also very sweet. On our 3rd morning, we needed to leave to rush for our bus to Taoyuan, we were holding our luggages and they directed us to store our luggages with the front desk first. They saw that we were in a rush and told us that we could let them know if we're would like to take along some snacks or drink to accompany us on our trip. They even bid us good bye.
Check out process was smooth with an aloof staff. Felt like he couldn't be bothered.

AAnonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.

DDreamCatThe hotel was busy, but thankfully, Vicky was helpful. It was raining, so after parking, I returned to my room to change. Entering the room, it felt like a Japanese onsen ryokan, with plenty of privacy. While the humidity was high, there was a dehumidifier. The beauty hot spring was perfect for soaking. The breakfast was excellent.
