"This is the first time my family and I have been so satisfied staying in a 2-bedroom residence unit. We could all stay together with our two parents and the two of us. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The sofa bed was also comfortable and spacious for sleeping. It could easily accommodate 5 people, or even 7, because the king-size bed was incredibly huge, more than 2 meters wide. We were very impressed and satisfied with all the facilities. There were two dressing tables. There's a bathroom in each room, and even an additional toilet in the living room, although it's not for showering. So, a total of 3 toilets. The room temperature was just right; it could be adjusted and turned off. There was only one hanger in each room, so we had to request more, and it took a long time – we had to call three times before they arrived. Initially, we didn't realize the shower drain had a rubber stopper, so it ended up flooding everywhere, and it took a while to get a new mat. But overall, it was a very nice experience staying at LK Pemuda. Please improve the quality of your service and facilities!"

"Came there to find out that my room has been cancelled. Their reason was because they are in partnership with OYO and a lot of rooms has been canceled by the ”system” so there were no rooms left for me to check in that day. They had already had a substitute hotel which I rejected.
I requested a refund in cash and they refused. They promised that the refund will be done via Trip app but when asked how does the refund work, no one could explain.
Finally I asked them again about the room availability because I was sure that they had at least a couple of rooms available. I told them that it was their responsibility to provide me with a room, even if the ones available are more expensive than what I have paid for.
Suddenly they apologised and told me that a room was available, exactly like the one I had paid for.
The rest of the stay was great.
I wish to come back and visit the hotel, hoping that such suspicious experience will not be repeated in my next visit."

"Nice Stay with Great Location and Local Vibes
I stayed at Surya Boutique Hotel Semarang and overall had a pretty good experience. The location is great — super close to both Poncol and Tawang train stations, so it's really convenient if you're catching a train. There's also an Indomaret and Alfamart nearby, plus tons of street food at night. The nasi goreng and bakmi Jawa around the area were seriously good!
Not far from the hotel, there's an old mosque built in 1802 is really beautiful and full of history. It’s a reminder that Semarang used to be an important port city, visited by Arab and Chinese traders. Worth a quick visit if you're into cultural spots.
The only downside was the receptionist during check-in , she didn’t smile and wasn’t very welcoming, which was a bit disappointing. But later in the day and the next morning, a different receptionist was on duty and she was really lovely and friendly, which made up for it.
Breakfast was okay for a 2-star hotel , simple but enough. Just a heads-up: there’s no hot water kettle in the room, so if you need hot water, you might need to ask the front desk.
All in all, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a convenient and affordable stay in Semarang with some nice local flavor. Hope they keep improving!"

"Very clean room and a very new hotel. The space in front of the bed is a bit limited, but I honestly did not mind at all. The location is convenient, situated above a mall, and the TV is a smart TV so you can watch YouTube.

"Love the room very much. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is an elevator, smooth internet. You can walk to the peony market, semawi weekend market, alun2 mosque agung weekend market. Easy to find halal and non-halal food. Private parking, so safe, no competition with other shops. Cold air conditioner, smooth hot water, smart TV. The room is quite spacious. The room only provides shampoo soap."

Anonymous UserAll the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The facilities are excellent, and I particularly have to praise their swimming pool. Having stayed in numerous five-star hotels across different countries, I can confidently say their pool is one of the larger ones and impeccably clean. The only downside is that it closes at 8 PM.
The hotel's breakfast buffet is incredibly extensive; you're guaranteed to find something you'll enjoy. The restaurant staff are exceptionally attentive. If you dine there for breakfast two days in a row, they'll already remember your preferences and ask if you need anything specific.
Furthermore, their Chinese restaurant, Summer Palace, serves outstanding Cantonese cuisine, and the prices are very reasonable. Even the staff in the Chinese restaurant maintain the hotel's consistently friendly service. If you ever have the chance to stay at this hotel, I highly recommend trying their Chinese restaurant.

Guest Userlove every part of this hotel, during all my hop on and hop off hotels this past years, this Gumaya hotel has met a good standard in most of aspects, especially the breakfast. im so suprised find hotel that the breakfast food taste delicious in all the stalls (usually will be too salty, too bland or just bleh..) but at gumaya, we are like travelling to each own traditional food restaurant, the authentic gudeg, the very nice lumpia and ikan bandeng, the warm soto ayam semarang and the homemade jamu and juices.
all is excellent.

Anonymous UserNice staycation at one of the 4-star hotels in the heart of Semarang, near Simpang Lima. It's a cool new hotel, clean, and has a strategic location. Right next to the hotel, there are plenty of food options, like Tegal goat satay and authentic Semarang Hapkie noodles, plus a Superindo supermarket across the street.
I often stay at this hotel chain for business trips. The breakfast menu has a good variety, including dim sum. The only downside is that the rooms don't have wardrobes, drawers, or anything like that, so there's no space to store belongings.
One more important thing: please offer more attractive big discounts so I'll always book through vendors like Trip.com.

HENDRO PRDOn my frequent business trips to Semarang, I always stay at the PO Hotel, which is conveniently located next to Paragon Mall. It's a 5-star hotel in the city center, offering a nice staycation experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and for dinner, I just walk to PG Mall through the connected doorway. The breakfast menu is also comprehensive and delicious. My suggestion for PO Hotel would be to upgrade the TVs to smart TVs and add more local channels, specifically Anteve and Indosiar, if possible.

My stay at Novotel Semarang was very satisfying overall; it truly lives up to its international brand reputation, with all aspects performing above average.
Excellent Location: The hotel is situated in a prime location in downtown Semarang, offering incredibly convenient transportation access to the Old Town (Kota Lama), popular attractions, and shopping malls. It's a top choice for both business travelers and tourists.
High Standard of Service and Dining: The staff were exceptionally warm and professional right from check-in. I especially want to praise their breakfast – the variety was impressive, with a wide selection of local Indonesian flavors and Western dishes, all prepared with great care.
Well-Equipped Facilities, Though Showing Some Age: The room was spacious, and the bedding was very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

Amir & ArieThis is one of the cheapest 5-star hotels I've ever stayed in. The hotel might be a bit old, but everything works perfectly. The service and hospitality are very satisfying. The location is right in front of Semarang's main activity center. At night, you can take a stroll in front of the hotel. Ciputra Mall is right next door, and there are dozens of restaurants around the hotel.

Ong HartonoThis is my third time staying at Metro Park View and the experience was very good as always. The staff were kind enough to allow me to check in after 12 pm without having to wait until 2 pm because the room was already ready. I was also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade which was really appreciated.
The service throughout the stay was excellent. The staff were friendly helpful and professional. Since I stayed during Ramadan the sahur breakfast was also very good with a nice selection of food and everything prepared well and on time. It made the early morning meal comfortable and enjoyable.
The room was clean comfortable and well maintained which made it easy to rest after a long day outside. Overall the hotel atmosphere feels calm and welcoming.
The location is another big advantage. There is a Ramadan bazaar right next door which is very convenient during the fasting month. Around the hotel there are also many cafes and places to eat so it is easy to find food or just relax outside.
Honestly I cannot think of any complaints or negative points about this stay. Everything was smooth and pleasant. If you are visiting Semarang I would definitely recommend booking this hotel.

the room is clean, fragrant, no cigarette smell

Mels2012The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic!
One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha!
However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱
