Amazing
GGuest UserWonderful stay and best service! So impressed when they gave us 1 room early checkin for my cousin who were not feeling well and need to rest. Delicious breakfast with great service.
GGuest Userlove every part of this hotel, during all my hop on and hop off hotels this past years, this Gumaya hotel has met a good standard in most of aspects, especially the breakfast. im so suprised find hotel that the breakfast food taste delicious in all the stalls (usually will be too salty, too bland or just bleh..) but at gumaya, we are like travelling to each own traditional food restaurant, the authentic gudeg, the very nice lumpia and ikan bandeng, the warm soto ayam semarang and the homemade jamu and juices.
all is excellent.
IIsmael AbbasThe hotel has a great design. Although the rooms are small, the beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop. The downsides are that there is no elevator, the staff is not well-trained, there is no restaurant, the parking lot is very small, and there are no slippers in the rooms.
OOn the earthI had a very pleasant stay here. One of the best things about this place was the location because it was very close to the shopping mall, making it easy and convenient to buy food, shop, and spend time without traveling far. The staff members were also very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help whenever I had questions or needed assistance. Their warm attitude made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The room was clean and the atmosphere was relaxing. Overall, it was a great experience and I would happily visit again in the future.
OOng HartonoThis was my first time staying at Khas Semarang. I arrived around 12 pm and the hotel was very crowded because there was an event that day. The staff told me check-in was only at 2 pm, which is fine, but the problem was there were basically no seats available in the lobby to wait.
They suggested I sit in the restaurant instead. Honestly that felt a bit strange since it’s Ramadan and people are fasting. Anyway, as a local I didn’t really mind, so I just went to Paragon Mall which is about 10 minutes away to kill some time.
The room itself was quite clean and had all the basic amenities, so no issue there.
For sahur, I requested breakfast to be delivered at 3 am. It only arrived around 3:30 am. When I asked the staff why it was late, they said they had to deliver to more than 20 rooms first. That made me wonder why they don’t just open a simple sahur buffet to make things easier for everyone. The soto was actually nice, but unfortunately it was already cold by the time it arrived.
Food overall was decent.
One thing I like about this hotel is the location. There are quite a few nice cafés around and many of them are open 24 hours, so it’s easy to find somewhere to hang out late at night if you want.
LLamberthOverall, both the service and cleanliness are good
But for couples, it's not quite worth it because the sound leaks, sometimes we can hear people coming in and out of the room hahaha even though we're watching a movie
JjoiceheThe hotel boasts a rooftop bar, perfect for unwinding. Although rooms don't have kettles, there's a coffee machine for your caffeine fix. It's conveniently located on Gajah Mada Street in the heart of Semarang, close to the iconic Simpang Lima intersection. With plenty of restaurants nearby, it's super easy to get around for dining or sightseeing.
GGuest UserMy go-to hotel whenever I'm in Semarang. The location is superb. If you're driving your own car, parking is limited, but the free valet service from the security guards is a lifesaver. As for cleanliness, room size, and food, they're just standard.
MMels2012The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic!
One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha!
However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱
AagungFrom a fairly strategic location, the service is quite good,
The waiter escorts and shows the location of the room, several times the officer was seen opening the door when guests entered/exited the hotel
The room is also quite spacious
The only drawback is ... Inadequate parking, it is better to park outside next to the hotel, so that it is easy to get in and out, if you park inside it is sometimes difficult to get out because it is blocked by cars
Hopefully in the future, the parking area can be given more attention, so that guests are more comfortable
