"The reception is accommodating. The food is average because they don’t have any hot meal. The selection of cheese and cold items have many choices and fruit juice as well. They provide healthy options such as yoghurts, variety of fruits, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, chia seeds and nuts. They have also different kinds of danish pastries, croissants, savouries, sweets and cakes. We liked the breakfast buffet station. The restaurant is clean and tidy. "After leaving Paris for Italy 🇮🇹, we landed and were picked up and driven to Lake Como. I had pre-booked this lakeside hotel, which boasts an excellent location. We opted for a lake-view room, and indeed, you can enjoy the beautiful lake scenery right from the balcony. It would be lovely to sip coffee or a drink on the balcony in the summer while admiring the view.
While the hotel room furnishings are a bit dated, they are immaculately clean.
There's a bar and restaurant on the ground floor, and conveniently, a Carrefour, a food court, and a DM supermarket are just a short walk behind the hotel.
We spent some time exploring the small town, had lunch by the lake, and enjoyed a cup of coffee.
If you're with a group, you could even rent a small yacht and take a tour around Lake Como to soak in the lake views and surrounding scenery."

"Located in Como city, the location is good, but there is no parking, so it is not suitable for pick-up and drop-off. There is a large supermarket just a 3-minute walk away, which was convenient.
The building itself is not new, but the interior is new. It was a cheap place to stay in this area. There is a full range of drinks, frozen foods, and snacks at the front desk, so you can get what you need there.
Even at supermarkets, they rarely have cold beer, so they do have a selection of cold drinks, although they are expensive."

"I had an amazing experience during my stay at Hotel Metropol Suisse-Como.The central location with stunning lake views made the visit even more special. Our room was cleaned thoroughly every single day, and the standard of cleanliness was outstanding.
The staff throughout the hotel were incredibly caring and polite. The bar staff were always friendly and attentive, and the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. I was genuinely impressed that the team even remembered exactly how I like my coffee — such a thoughtful touch that made me feel truly valued as a guest.
I was travelling with my mum, who has mobility difficulties, and the staff went above and beyond for her. They were always ready to help, often running to open the doors for her without us even asking. Their kindness really meant a lot to us.
A special mention goes to Elvira, who was wonderfully attentive and polite during breakfast every morning. She always asked about our experience and made sure we had everything we needed. The reception staff were also outstanding, regularly checking if there was anything more they could do to make our stay even better.
The food in the restaurant was superb, and it was lovely to see the owner present and engaging with guests to make sure everyone was happy.
Overall, it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. I cannot praise the hotel enough and will definitely be returning again and again. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel is 2 kilometers around the hotel. It belongs to the city center. Every day, you can hear the bells of the central church. The corridor is not very good. The room is small, but all the facilities inside are very new, and there are 2 windows. The windows are particularly interesting. The sound insulation is not very good, the front desk lady Francesca is very beautiful and very warm, people are kind"

"The hotel was clean and very well maintained. The bed was great and comfortable. We had the room in the attic. I would say it’s slightly less than what I would have expected for the price given that we didn’t have any windows looking out.
The location was fantastic. Super close to the lake and really nice restaurants. Furthermore, the train station was also a 5 minute walk away should you need it.
Would’ve been nice if the breakfast was included and/or reasonably priced."

"Good location, not far from the train station and the pier. The room was clean and comfortable, one bedroom and one living room apartment. The reception staff was very enthusiastic and patient. Although it is written as a 4-diamond hotel, close to 2000 nights, it is actually an apartment, there is no front desk and no door. The hotel also wants to contact us in advance to inform us, but unlike airbin, you can contact us directly. After arriving, you need to call the boss to pick us up. Since there is no front desk, the luggage can be stored until 4 o'clock. Pay attention to the matters in advance. It's not a big problem."

AAmariel-aroundtheworldI had such a lovely stay at this hostel and I truly recommend it! Even though I only stayed for one night, my experience was amazing and I would absolutely come back on future trips.
The beds are very comfortable and the bed linen is 100% cotton, which I really appreciated — it makes such a difference for a good night’s sleep. The bathrooms are very clean and warm, which is especially nice after a long day out.
I stayed in an 8-bed room and everything was very well organized. The whole building is beautifully decorated and has a really nice, welcoming energy. You can feel that care has been put into the space.
The staff are incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. There’s also a garden and a terrace where you can enjoy coffee, tea, and water with free access. The kitchen offers free pasta, some vegetables, and other food options available for guests. I didn’t personally use this service, but it’s such a thoughtful touch to have it as an option.
It’s also a great place to connect with other solo travelers. They organize events like karaoke and comedy nights, which create a really fun and social atmosphere.
Overall, 10 out of 10. Highly recommended!

The RentComo location was in the heart of the city, nestled in one of the quaint shopping streets, and walking distance to all the typical tourist stops. Very nice going back to the apartment each evening, opening the windows and listening to the tourists and locals finishing their shopping or going for dinner. Very nice apartment with all the comforts; so much more relaxing than the standard hotel room stay.

What really set apart this hotel and made the stay very enjoyable was the staff. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and was always there to help when we needed them. 10/10 service! GGuest UserL’hôtel est situé dans une zone industrielle, à environ 10 à 15 minutes en voiture du centre de Côme. L’établissement est récent, propre, avec des installations modernes et bien entretenues. On sent une volonté de viser un standing plus élevé, peut-être celui d’un 5 étoiles selon le directeur. Malheureusement, certaines pratiques vont totalement à l’encontre de cette ambition.
Le parking est facturé 18€/jour, ce qui me semble exagéré étant donné l’emplacement hors centre-ville et la présence d’un grand parking gratuit pour d’autres usagers (notamment les joueurs de padel). Cela donne l’impression que les clients de l’hôtel sont pénalisés sans raison valable.
Le petit déjeuner est très limité pour un hôtel de ce niveau : le buffet est incomplet, certains plats sont payants et doivent être commandés séparément, et il n’y avait même pas de jus d’orange, ni sur le buffet ni à la carte — seulement de l’eau et du lait. C’est loin des standards d’un 4 ou 5 étoiles.
Les capsules de café dans la chambre sont facturées 1,50€, ce qui est surprenant et décevant pour un établissement qui prétend offrir un service haut de gamme. Dans la grande majorité des hôtels 4 ou 5 étoiles, ce genre de prestation est inclus. Cela donne une impression de mesquinerie, en contradiction avec l’image que l’hôtel essaie de projeter.
Le point le plus dérangeant : le personnel est entré dans ma chambre le soir, sans m’avoir prévenu, pour effectuer un « service de rangement ». Je n’avais rien demandé, et j’ai constaté que certains de mes effets personnels avaient été déplacés. Je n’aime pas que l’on entre dans ma chambre sans mon autorisation explicite, ni sans m’en avoir informé au préalable. Cela m’a mis très mal à l’aise. Qu’un ménage soit fait le soir peut être un service apprécié par certains, mais il doit être clairement annoncé ou demandé.
J’ai exprimé mon mécontentement au directeur. Plutôt que d’écouter mes remarques, il m’a répondu de manière condescendante, insinuant que je n’avais « pas l’habitude de fréquenter des hôtels 5 étoiles » et que ce genre de pratiques était, selon lui, tout à fait normales. Une réponse hautaine et déplacée, loin de l’accueil et du professionnalisme attendus dans ce type d’établissement. En guise de compensation, le directeur m’a offert la capsule de café à 1,50€.
J’espère que cet avis aidera les futurs clients à avoir une vision plus réaliste de cet hôtel. Pour ma part, malgré la qualité des installations, je ne le recommanderai pas. Le service client, l’écoute et le respect de l’intimité ne sont pas au rendez-vous.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful 🤍 — modern with a stylish Italian design throughout, from the lobby to the rooms. Everything feels new, clean, and thoughtfully designed.
The room was a highlight — spacious, very clean, and extremely comfortable. All the basic amenities were well provided, making the stay easy and relaxing.
One of the best parts is the rooftop swimming pool — stunning views, great atmosphere, and perfect for photos, especially around sunset 🌅
👉 One downside to note:
The location is a bit far from Como city center.
* There is a bus stop near the hotel, but buses can be unreliable and not always on time
* Walking to the center is about 1–2 km, doable but not ideal (especially with kids or elderly travelers)
💡 Overall:
Perfect for a relaxing stay in a beautiful, design-focused hotel. Best if you’re planning to use taxis or have a car, rather than relying on public transportation.

Small details such as the coffee machine kettle is not clean enough, the TV remote control battery is insufficient, and it is easy to splash water when washing your face (the washbasin is a little short), but these are not enough to cover up the advantages. Because the soundproofing and bed are the hard core strength of the hotel.
This hotel has both the warmth of a family hotel and the quality of a group hotel.

GGuest UserThe stay at the hotel exceeded my expectations. The cleaning was excellent. Breakfast was good. Additionally, it was possible to have coffee or tea in between. I'm very much satisfied and can recommend this hotel!
The only thing to be inproved is internet connection, which worked just occasionally but practically either didn't work or was very very slow - if you have no local sim card, it may be a crucial point for you.

SSandy PoohThe location itself is convenient, but unfortunately the overall experience didn’t match the price point. At check‑in, the staff was friendly and warm — and that was honestly the best part of the stay. The property is more like an Airbnb with no reception. The staff provided us basic information through WhatsApp. Although the name hotel is misleading and the Airbnb type style is not what we expected, the arrangement works fine with us.
The room felt dated and didn’t give the impression of being properly clean. Even small details, like the towels, were disappointing; they didn’t seem fully dry and the quality was lacking.
Breakfast was another letdown. We weren’t aware beforehand that it wasn’t served on‑site but instead at a café about a four‑minute walk away. While this might be fine on a sunny morning, during our stay it was raining in Como, and having to go outside just to get breakfast was far from ideal.
Overall, Convo Lake Como feels overpriced for what it offers. Between the dated rooms, lack of on‑site breakfast, and underwhelming amenities, I believe there are better choices in the area that provide more comfort and value for the same or even lower cost.

Basically, water, tea, coffee, towels and soap are ready, but you have to bring shampoo and other shower supplies!
There is a restaurant under the hostel and very close to the lake!
