"This hotel is super close to Ito Station, just a few minutes' walk away. I booked a Japanese-style room with a sea view, and you can really see the ocean from there. We slept on tatami mats, and the room was quite spacious. The front desk was managed by a local Japanese gentleman, and they even had check-in instructions in Chinese, so the process was very quick and smooth."

"Dear General Manager, I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent service provided by your restaurant staff during my recent stay on 16-17 June 2026. I originally booked a room with breakfast and dinner through Trip.com, indicating 2 adults and 1 child (age 8). Although I noticed that your hotel website offers a kids' menu, the booking platform did not have an option to select it, and I wasn't aware of this at the time of booking. I therefore assumed that the hotel would automatically provide the kids' dinner menu for my daughter. However, when we arrived for dinner tonight, the staff informed me that we had been booked for three adult set meals, which came as quite a surprise. I immediately worried that my daughter would have nothing to eat and that we might have to go out to buy her dinner. Fortunately, your staff member, Mr. 坂田went above and beyond to communicate internally on our behalf. With his manager's approval, he was able to arrange the kids' menu for my daughter as a special accommodation. This truly saved our evening! I truly appreciate how professional, flexible, and helpful your team is. I fully understand that this was not the hotel's fault, yet your staff still went out of their way to resolve the issue and provide excellent service from the heart. "I absolutely, absolutely, absolutely loved the Hachiman-no Wayo-shiki room type at KIRA-NO-SATO! Upon reaching the floor of our room, we had to take off our shoes and put them in a shoe cabinet, then walk barefoot to the room. If you're heading to the public bathhouse or just exploring the hotel, you can wear the geta (wooden clogs) provided by the shoe cabinet. The floors were incredibly clean; walking barefoot was very comfortable and not dirty at all. The room itself was spotless and spacious, not feeling old-fashioned in the slightest. In fact, it looked quite new. The shower room's design reminded me of a sauna, but it was very comfortable and clean. We didn't use the public bath. Instead, we showered in our room each time before grabbing the key for a private onsen. The 'Stone Craftsman' bath, made of stone, was a bit small; it felt a little cramped for two people. 'Bamboo Immortal' was made of wood (or perhaps bamboo, judging by the name?) and offered more space. 'Rock Seat' was more like a small swimming pool, the largest of the three private onsens, very spacious for two, and had the best overhead cover. The hotel front desk offered complimentary drinks, including sodas, coffee, and tea. The public bath area provided milk and coffee milk in the mornings, and lactic acid drinks and ice cream in the evenings. The building next to the front desk offered various refreshments at different times, such as green tea, local sweet potatoes, soba noodles, and oden. The hotel also offers a convenient shuttle bus service to Izu-Kogen Station, though it stops running after 5:30 PM. After that, you'd have to walk. The walk from the station to the hotel is uphill with a significant incline, which can be tiring if you have luggage or many bags. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and polite! I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Izu~"

"On the first day, we arrived at JR Ito Station after 6 PM. I tried calling the hotel but no one answered, so we had to take the Ito Kyuko Line. After getting off, we walked for over ten minutes with our luggage. Both of us are over seventy, and we were quite exhausted. I suggest extending the pick-up service until 8 PM. However, after checking in, we were very satisfied with all the services."

"Followed the navigation for about ten minutes to get there. You take off your shoes at the entrance and change into slippers before entering. Check-in was smooth with instructions in Chinese. We quickly confirmed the dinner and breakfast times and locations. We chose to have it in our room, and they called beforehand to confirm if we were ready. After eating, we just put the dishes back in the box and left it outside the door. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The portions were also very generous. They offer luggage storage. We went to the hot springs both in the evening and in the morning – so relaxing! Of course, we paid the hot spring tax when checking out. Highly recommend."

"This was my mother and daughters' first international trip together, and thanks to this place, we had such a happy and enjoyable time! 🥰 Everyone was incredibly friendly, and both the outdoor private onsen and indoor hot spring bath in our room were clean and beautiful! 👍 My mom had been wanting to go to a hot spring for years, and she was absolutely thrilled and very satisfied. 💜 Dinner and breakfast were also fantastic; you could really feel the effort put into each dish, and we got to try new ingredients, so it was all delicious! 😍 If you're driving from Shizuoka by rental car, I highly recommend taking the toll road! We took the free road and ended up learning to drive in Japan 'Spartan-style' on our first day, thanks to the massive forest roads and fog. Haha. We received the best hospitality during our stay, which helped my mother and daughters make truly wonderful memories. 🧡 Thank you so much. We'll definitely come back with the whole family next time! "This hotel is fantastic and fully equipped, truly a resort hotel, and many Japanese guests stay here! First, the hotel will send you an email in advance to confirm your dinner time. We booked dinner for two nights; it was a set menu, and the menu changed daily! The rooms are spacious, and there are many yukata choices! There are two hot springs ♨️, one in the main building and one in the south building. Currently, there are no private baths. We tried both. The main building's is smaller but fully equipped and less crowded. The south building isn't too far to walk to, just a few stairs! Both sides have restaurants. We stayed in the main building and dined there. Breakfast was indeed a bit of a hassle; you usually have to wait. You can go down early to make a reservation, and they'll call your room when it's ready! If you have time, you definitely need to try the hotel's facilities. It has three stops, including a free spa and an indoor water park. We went to the spa, and swimsuits were provided, which was very convenient! The internal shuttle runs until 11 PM, so you can go in the evening too! Be aware that the shuttle to the Kogen Station is the same as the internal shuttle, so make sure to ask when you get on! Both the hotel's dinner and breakfast are high-quality, and breakfast even includes sashimi rice! Plus, the hotel's souvenir shop is cheaper than the one at JR Station! I recommend having dinner at the hotel, as there's absolutely nothing around, no shops! But the hotel itself is so exciting, it's worth it even if you just stay and enjoy the hotel!"

"We had a lovely stay at Himalaya Sea. We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Incredibly clean, spacious and comfortable rooms, amazing sea views, a nice little pool for cooling off in, as well as private and shared Onsen. They were able to accommodate us and provided a vegetarian breakfast. The free drinks (sodas, juice, wine, whiskey, etc) were appreciated. Thank you Himalaya Sea, we hope we can come back again some day!"

We were very satisfied with both the room and the service. I highly recommend booking a package that includes both breakfast and dinner to experience the full Japanese service. For families or couples, after checking in, you can use the in-room phone (dial 8) to reserve a 50-minute private family bath session with the front desk. (You might be able to get the key a bit earlier depending on availability.) The cost is about 1680 JPY, which is quite reasonable. Prices for additional drinks, meals, and SPA services are also within a sensible range. One thing to note is that the hotel is located halfway up a hill, so I don't recommend walking there if you have large luggage. You can contact the hotel in advance to inquire about shuttle bus options or take a taxi from Ito Station. If you absolutely must walk, do not follow Google Maps' route from Minami-Ito Station, as this path involves climbing stairs and going over a hill.

This guesthouse is fantastic! It's an easy 8-minute walk from the train station and super convenient with two large supermarkets, a drug store, a 7-Eleven, and plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s a traditional Japanese-style home, and the breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented—the rice, fish, and soup were all excellent. The owner is incredibly welcoming and even offered to drive us to tourist spots and the station. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The several Chinese-speaking staff members were also wonderful, making communication easy. I'll definitely stay here again when I visit Izu and have already recommended it to my friends.

I originally planned to leave a 5-star review because the hotel itself has a very nice, cozy atmosphere. However, I ended up extremely disappointed due to something being stolen during housekeeping service. I travel frequently and stay in hotels often, so I’m usually very careful. This time, I didn’t bring many valuables with me, so I didn’t lock my suitcase when I went out. I had bought a few items from a drugstore and left them in the room. When I came back, one of the three packages was missing. I assume they didn’t take everything to avoid suspicion. I’m usually very cautious about housekeeping and potential loss of belongings, which is why I selected the “do not disturb / no cleaning” option. However, this hotel requires daily cleaning of the in-room hot spring bath. Since I booked a top-floor room with a private onsen, the front desk informed me that staff would still enter the room to clean it. I never expected that even opened, low-value cosmetics would be taken. The missing items were worth over $60. While it’s not a huge amount, it still feels very upsetting. The hotel itself is fine, but please be very careful with your belongings if you stay here. If you leave the room, make sure to take your valuables with you. The safe in the room is extremely small and cannot hold much. Overall, this experience was very disappointing.

”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Key Point: The hotel includes a one-day admission ticket, allowing access to three attractions within one day: (Cactus Zoo, Izu Granpal Park, and the New York Lighting Museum Garden). We recommend checking in after visiting Mt. Omuro, enjoying a one-night stay with two meals at the onsen (hot spring), and then visiting the above attractions the next day! Perfect for families and couples! We recommend driving or walking to the hotel from Mt. Omuro/the zoo. Environment and Location: The hotel is located next to Mt. Omuro, about a 10-minute walk from the Mt. Omuro Ropeway; it also has a private entrance to the Cactus Zoo (accessible via a gate next to the hotel). The hotel features a terrace and platform with stunning surrounding views, perfect for taking photos, overlooking the sunrise, night views, and Mt. Omuro. Rooms and Facilities: Spacious rooms with a semi-Western, semi-Japanese design. Meals: The hotel offers a Japanese set breakfast and a kaiseki dinner.

Beautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

The structure seems to be a legacy of the bubble era. The luxurious layout allows you to move between the main building and each building via pedestrians. It's reminiscent of the 5-star hotels of Phuket and Bali of the past. The all-inclusive plan also feels like good value. Unfortunately, however, maintenance of the interior and exterior has not kept up, and various parts are badly deteriorated. The bathhouse is also made of good granite, so it should be polished properly. The exterior walls are so black that you want to use a Karcher cleaner. I wish it was a little cleaner.

The staff here are very helpful and polite, they even helped me to contact the next hotel for clarification. Only I recommend them to build a store room around the parking lot so that the huge size of the luggage can be left there for overseas traveller and no need to bring up to the hotel by walking the long stairs, if any. Also, they can provide a simple map in the website to locate their exact hotel location and nearby shops, cafe and supermarket, train station, etc.    For me, I had a great experience spent in this hotel. If you like to see sunrise, it also a good place to stay in ocean view room.  If you like running, you can run along the hill side with wonderful ocean view.
