"Wow! Wow! Wow! What an experience we had! It was really fantastic! They provide a good service and do everything so well, that you want to continue your stay there! When we came into the room, there was a table laid with tea and Japanese desert mocha for two people. I appreciate for that! The Japanese kaiseki dinner was up to my taste, but not all the food as I could not recognise the taste of some and I simply didn’t like it. My daughter doesn’t like fish, so she could taste only a few dishes. She liked rice (how good it was cooked). A wonderful sunset and a wonderful sunrise is way I intended to see! I did! It was amazing! Photos attached. Try to see it, too! The breakfast was also with fish. As for me, it was tasty. My daughter found it not to her taste. Onsen was relaxing and very good to visit! Worthy! They drove us to the station after our stay at the hotel. I appreciate the hotel for the accommodation and service! I recommend this hotel, but I would come hear earlier to spend more time in ryokan!"

"the servise is quite good and the reception staffs are responsive and helpful. the scenery should be nice and can see the sea shore but given that I stayed in typhoon days, I can only show you some misty pics. One pity thing is that it's a little bit dusty and humid. also recommend the dinner buffet, high quality."

"It's about an 8-10 minute walk from Ito JR. The lighting along the road is not sufficient, so avoid going out alone at night. But there is an Aeon supermarket 5 minutes away, which is quite convenient I happened to try a restaurant nearby called ”Shou Da An”, which has a strong traditional flavor and tastes great. I highly recommend it! The room is spacious enough and has a private bath, but the temperature is not very hot, which is worth noting."

"After returning from Japan, I felt that this was the hotel I stayed in the most satisfying way. The hotel doesn't have many rooms, so it's never crowded. There are about five or six onsen (hot spring) rooms, which lock and light up when guests enter, making them like private baths. We booked a twin room, which wasn't very large, but had everything we needed. The hotel's location is also very convenient, with a bus stop just a few hundred meters away. There's also a convenience store nearby. I'd like to praise the hotel's breakfast and dinner the most. The staff will discuss meal times with you and prepare them in advance. They were delicious and exquisite. Breakfast included freshly grilled flounder, and dinner was a kaiseki meal. We booked two nights, and each meal was different, which was a real surprise. This hotel's blind box promotion was a huge success!"

"During this trip to the Izu Peninsula, we stayed at four hot spring hotels, and this one was the best in every way! The uncle who picked us up from Ito Station was incredibly kind; my wife still vividly remembers his smile even after returning to Beijing. It was a very hot afternoon, and he even offered us an ice-cold towel after we got in the car! So thoughtful! Someone also welcomed us and helped with our luggage when we got off the bus! However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. The young woman practically knelt down to talk to me, saying my booking was too cheap and didn't include breakfast and dinner. I explained this to her repeatedly, showing her my booking information from Ctrip (a Chinese travel website), and finally she said she could make a special arrangement including breakfast and dinner! I wasn't entirely satisfied with this; I specifically chose the option that included breakfast and dinner when I booked. How could it be a special arrangement? The hotel is located in the mountains of Ito, but it does have a sea view. The tatami mattresses were the thickest and most comfortable. The kaiseki dinner was truly amazing. Each hotel has a private room and a dedicated server. The beautiful Japanese woman in our room spoke fluent English and mentioned that she had just traveled to Beijing and Xi'an last month and had a good impression of China! Dinner was served with a glass of alcohol per person, a choice of sake or plum wine; I also added a beer! After dinner, you could enjoy complimentary ice cream and Izu coffee in the lobby! The onsen (hot spring) was also very nice, with an open-air bath overlooking the sea! Many Chinese guests were staying at the hotel! The bus to Ito Station after check-out didn't require reservations, as check-out was at 11 am and the buses were very full. The hotel even provided a car to help us with our luggage! Overall, this stay was very comfortable!"

"When checking in, there were staff waiting at the door before the car was parked. There were six rooms in total. The public area was not big, mainly in the room. One parking and two meals were not a sham. The water quality and temperature of the two private hot springs outdoor and indoor were impeccable. It was about ten minutes by car from Mount Omuro. All the staff were friendly and attentive. When leaving the hotel, the staff saw me off until the car turned out and no one was around. Overall, it was a very satisfactory stay."

"The hotel is near Ito Station, just a ten-minute walk away, but it's recommended to take a taxi or time the hourly bus. The Japanese-style rooms are spacious, and sleeping on tatami mats and wearing yukatas is a delight! There's a shop on site where you can buy souvenirs and a variety of drinks, especially beer. The hot springs are located in two main areas: the large area and the small area. Both feature two different temperature pools and open-air baths, with the large area boasting even higher-temperature, high-pressure jets! The breakfast is another highlight: it's incredibly rich and unique! It's not a buffet, but rather a set menu for each person, so don't be late..."

"Tatami bath" offers a unique healing space where you can enjoy traditional Japanese relaxation. Both the tatami bath and the open-air bath use free-flowing hot spring water sourced directly from the premises. The baths at "Hotel Yoshino" naturally feature the hotel's own Ito hot spring. Guests can enjoy the free-flowing hot spring water sourced directly from the premises. Featuring ingredients such as splendid alfonsino from the Izu Islands, the cuisine is delightful. Dishes like simmered splendid alfonsino, whole simmered abalone, Shizuoka beef, and an abundance of seafood sashimi are presented in a four-tiered box, which is highly praised.

"Because it includes breakfast and dinner, it is basically a great value, but the old room facilities cannot be ignored. There is no hot water in the bathroom, the faucet is seriously rusted, and the appearance and actual use are not good. Two meals must be eaten in the room, which is a bit unfriendly for people with bad feet. You must climb a short flight of stairs before going to the room, which is very inconvenient if you carry large luggage. The hotel staff are friendly, the food quality is not bad, the dinner is rich, the breakfast is relatively simple, and the hot spring temperature is hot enough"

GGuest UserThe room is very large, more than enough to sleep four people, very suitable for a big family trip. The facilities in the room are very complete, the decorations are very exquisite, the tatami is very clean, and the bed is soft and comfortable. Although the room does not have a bathroom, you can plan the time for bathing and taking a bath, which is still very comfortable. The bathroom is just opposite the room, with multiple stalls, which is quite convenient. The overnight dried fish for breakfast is very delicious. It is also fun to beat eggs by yourself and fry them with butter. It is very delicious. The public area of the hotel is fully equipped with supplies, free tea and coffee, and you can even play PS5. The boss is very enthusiastic and can send you to Omuro Mountain and Jogasaki Coast for free, which solves a big transportation problem. There are also Chinese waiters at the front desk, who are friendly to Chinese guests.

XXiaomuMUSI”This trip to Izu Kogen was made particularly memorable because of this B&B. As soon as I arrived at the B&B, the owner's warm welcome made me feel like spring breeze. The owner was very considerate. Not only did he introduce us to the surrounding attractions in detail, but he also gave us a lot of practical travel suggestions. The environment of the B&B is even better. The room is clean and tidy, and the layout is very warm and Japanese, making people feel as comfortable as at home. The public area is also very comfortable, and the hot spring ♨️ is also very suitable for families. It must be mentioned that this B&B is very close to the Jogasaki Coast, and it is very convenient to travel. You can just walk there, and the scenery along the way is also very beautiful. When we went back, it rained heavily and the tram stopped running. The owner took the initiative to contact us to help us find a way, and finally sent us to our destination. Thank you very much🥹 In short, this stay experience was great. I will definitely recommend this B&B to my friends around me, and next time I come to Izu Kogen, it will still be my first choice.”👍

GGuest UserThe hotel is older, and the lighting, in particular, can be dim at night. I recommend avoiding the large bathing room, as the onsen is rarely used, and there are plenty of toiletry areas and amenities. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options! The only downside is that luggage storage is limited to two hours after check-out. I've never experienced such a time limit at other hotels in Shizuoka city. I don't think a hotel this expensive would limit luggage storage to just two hours.

VVegan 美味しいI had a fantastic experience at Forest Glaming! The staff, including Mr. Terada & the cool dude with long hair, were not only incredibly friendly but also made an effort to communicate with me in English and encouraged my attempts at speaking Japanese. Despite missing the shuttle bus, Mr. Terada kindly came to pick me up. The resort is a serene haven, offering tranquility and the cleanest toilets I've ever encountered. ✨Being tented near the shower and toilet facilities was an added bonus. 😮💨The food was outstanding, especially the aged domestic beef 🍖 BBQ. The only disappointment was not having the chance to share the wonderful dinner with the staff. I totally recommend Forest Glaming to anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape with exceptional service and facilities. The staff's warmth and willingness to engage in different languages truly enhanced my stay. Fantabulous!!! 😍🥰

11391191****The location is fantastic, right at the foot of Mount Omuro. The room is a one-bedroom with two single beds and a large tatami mat that can accommodate six cushions. I shared two or three mattresses with my children, and it wasn't at all hard and was very comfortable. The window overlooks the ocean, with Mount Omuro visible from the side. Breakfast was rice with salted fish, which was delicious, but I wasn't very fond of it. We arrived on a Sunday, off-peak for our trip, so we left our luggage at Ito Kogen Station and then went to Jogasaki Coast before returning to Izu Kogen to pick it up. The only downside was that the bus ran out at 5:00 PM, so we completely ignored it. We took a taxi to the hotel for about 3,000 dan. Inside, we were greeted by cute marine creatures that cost 100 dan each (we later discovered they weren't available at the Cactus Zoo). The machine kept getting stuck every time we inserted a coin, but the owner patiently helped fix it. If it couldn't be fixed, he'd give us a small turtle and a baby whale, which the children loved. The next day, we checked out early at 9:00 AM, left our luggage, and walked to Mount Omuro. The cable car line was completely clear on a Monday morning, and the view from the top was stunning—perfect for photos. After descending the mountain, we went to the zoo. If you don't want to backtrack and aren't worried about the long lines at Mt. Omuro, it's better to go to the zoo first. Overall, the accommodation experience was perfect.

CcometdebrisI stayed at Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace for 5 nights booking though Trip.com. Be warned that problems may occur when booking through travel websites such as this one. I booked a standard room with no meals. What I did not know however, was that this reservation did not include any room cleaning services for the entire stay, no taking of garbage or towel replacement, no bed making, nothing at all. When I contacted the travel website to show my disappointment, they immediately contacted the hotel requesting a full refund. I did not expect a full refund for my entire stay. What I did expect, was for someone to acknowledge the fact that this important piece of information should have been indicated someone on the online reservation confirmation. Neither the travel site nor the hotel would acknowledge this. The travel site replied with a response from the hotel, saying that I was a regular guest and knew about this “regulation”. It’s true, I have visited Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace on several occasions when housekeeping services were not included. However, this was clearly indicated on the reservation, and I stayed during the COVID STATE OF EMERGENCY, when it was standard practice for many hotels to exclude cleaning services. My recent stay was at the beginning of August, WHEN THE STATE OF EMERGENCY AND COVID RESTRICTIONS HAD BEEN LIFTED. It is no longer standard practice to exclude cleaning services at hotels in Japan. The hotel stated that I visited the front desk every day to get towels and never mentioned the need to clean the room. This is untrue. I only came to the front dest 2 times during my stay, and this is because room cleaning staff entered my room on 2 occasions, so I was expecting them to clean or take out the trash, but they did nothing and left. I expected them to return, however, they never did. The bottom line is the hotel is responsible for communicating their services to customers, especially after covid restrictions have been lifted. Blaming guests for their lack of communication is completely unprofessional. Now in regards to the hotel itself, I have stayed here on several occasions, I find it to be perfect, mainly because of the location and modest room size. The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Ippeki (Ippekiko) and there is plenty of nature and a few trails in the area. You can step out the door and be on a simple hiking trail within minutes. It’s a very quiet area and very good for children and families. Though the hotel is dated, the rooms are all quite large and include a living room, kitchen with cooking supplies and dishes (but no forks or spoons), a large bath, and both Western and Japanese style bedrooms. Some may be discouraged by the age of the hotel (it’s quite old and could use some renovation), but if you don’t mind that, then I would highly recommend staying here. One point that I need to mention is in regards to the bedrooms. The hotel has replaced their blackout curtains with super thin curtains which allow sunlight to easily shine through. We were woken up at 5:00 am every morning because of the bright sunlight in our room. If you’re a light sleeper, please take note. I wish management would consider this. Also, it’s highly recommended that guests come by car, public transportation is very inconvenient in the area. Overall, Izu Ippeki Lake Lakeside Terrace is a very convenient place for a reasonable price. I will definitely be staying here again in the future, but hope that they act with a little more professionalism and consider the fact that the covid state of emergency ended long ago.

GGuest UserBeautiful onsen — our favorite stay in Japan with my family! The traditional breakfast was delicious with a very large selection of dishes. The rooms are gorgeous, quiet, and spacious — and everything was exceptionally clean. The cleaning crew truly does an amazing job. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel warmly welcomed. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the train station, and having a washer and dryer available for guests was a big plus. Highly recommended — we would love to stay here again!

MMic890The staff here are very helpful and polite, they even helped me to contact the next hotel for clarification. Only I recommend them to build a store room around the parking lot so that the huge size of the luggage can be left there for overseas traveller and no need to bring up to the hotel by walking the long stairs, if any. Also, they can provide a simple map in the website to locate their exact hotel location and nearby shops, cafe and supermarket, train station, etc.    For me, I had a great experience spent in this hotel. If you like to see sunrise, it also a good place to stay in ocean view room.  If you like running, you can run along the hill side with wonderful ocean view.
