"Hotel was well located and easy to find. Room was comfortable but no housekeeping if you stay consecutive nights. Fresh towels were just placed in a bag and hung outside our door. They did not enter the room to clear rubbish nor place the fresh towels or make the beds even though I specifically requested it. Carpark was free. Coin laundry was also available."

We are newly open on December 21, 2024. Miyako Resort Shima Bayside Terrace reopened after renovation of guest rooms, restaurant, and outer walls. You are going to have an exceptional moment during your stay with a new spacious guest room, and the white exterior standing out against the azure sky and the beautiful sunset over the Ago Bay. We have the ocean-view restaurant, and it serves some local specialties such as the Ise-shrimp and Matsuzaka-beef. Enjoy your luxury stay with a private terrace in a renovated-room and Spanish Mission style!

"This time we stayed here on a family trip. Because it was New Year's, the hotel was full and there was no place to park our car, so we parked in the parking lot where the staff also parked. The staff were very helpful. We stayed in a villa, which had a high ceiling, a great view, and was very spacious. One thing that was disappointing was that the breakfast was not very tasty or plentiful considering the price. Unlike a buffet, there was a limit to the number of people, so we had to wait in our room for about 30 minutes in the morning, so if you are in a hurry to leave in the morning, it would be better to give yourself plenty of time to go and eat breakfast. Although the breakfast was disappointing, the other services were very good."

Set in the rolling green hills of Ise-Shima, close to Matoya Bay with its historic shrines and spectacular views, you'll find the stylish and modern Grand Mercure Ise-shima Resort & Spa. This upscale hotel & resort in Ise-shima is ideal for business and leisure travellers, with facilities including a pool and hot springs onsen bath, meeting rooms, and an on-site buffet restaurant. Our Ise-shima hotel is the perfect location for exploring this historical and cultural area and being close to nature.

"I stayed here in February 2025 for a pilgrimage to Ise Shrine. The red bridge and the landscape can be seen beautifully from the elevator hall on the upper floors of the hotel, making it a great location. Even though the hotel was renovated, it still had the same lively feel. The lounge is open all day and doesn't close at certain times, which is nice. The hot spring had a lot of water and was very comfortable. Perhaps it was for busy times, but the old-looking tables in front of the restaurant felt different. As for dinner and breakfast, the number of dishes was smaller than other Mercure hotels, perhaps due to the size of the restaurant, and some of the things I was looking forward to were missing, which was disappointing. The Matsusaka beef stew for dinner was disappointing, as I wanted to ask when the croissant was baked in the morning, but I gave up after one bite. It seems that there are many tourist buses, so I felt that the bath depends on the timing. The hotel is in a tourist area, so it's more of a one-time experience than a repeat visitor."

"The hotel is clean and the service is polite. The breakfast is delicious, using local ingredients. The hot spring water is from the source, and the pearl hot spring water. The drinks after the bath and the coffee in the lounge are delicious. The grounds are spacious and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The free tour to watch the sunset and the stargazing where you can hear explanations about the stars while holding a laser up to the stars were great. You can see Venus, Jupiter, Mars, and the Pleiades star cluster with the naked eye. I would like to go back in the warmer months. The hotel was quite warm and comfortable even in winter."

We arrived at the hotel late, and the lobby customer service staff also arranged a room with a pleasant view for us. I was really amazed when I saw the view outside the window! I like it very much😘😘"

"It was a wonderful hotel. Not only the rooms, but also the spa and dining area. I regret that we couldn't explore everything because it was raining. The only thing that was disappointing was that there was no staff there to wait for the spa return card or to greet other customers who had come to the spa, but even during those times it was a space where we could spend without feeling irritated. There were no other issues that were of particular concern. The spa is also by reservation only, so there were not many people and we were able to relax. Above all, the room was simply wonderful and the breakfast was even more delicious than I expected, with carefully selected ingredients and seasonings that made the most of the ingredients. The view from the dining area was also amazing, and above all, we could hear the birds chirping and enjoy a wonderful breakfast."

Grab-your-camera views are in almost every direction, especially at dusk when the hotel offers one of the best vantage points for the sunset. Take it all in from your spacious suite, a masterpiece in modern minimalism. Or watch over the water at dinner. They stream into Eau Spa as well- where treatments make use of the energising power of water. Shima Kanko is the proud host of the first Clarins spa in Japan, and guests can expect signature Clarins scents and plant-powered formulas. Shima Kanko Hotel the Bay Suites is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property.

"There is a shuttle bus at Kashikojima Station. Find the driver of the hotel bus. The suite will immediately notify the Toyota car to pick you up. It takes three to five minutes by car. After arriving at the hotel, you can enjoy the 5-star service. All rooms face the sea and the sun is shining. The facilities are high-end and complete with 100 square meters. The small refrigerator is all free, and there are Mikimoto skin care products. The lounge has a terrace with an excellent view, and the food and drinks prepared are also exquisite. The service here is perfect. I checked in on my birthday. When checking in, I was asked to choose whether the check-in was on my birthday anniversary. I didn't want to bother others to choose sightseeing. As a result, the staff of the French restaurant on the 5th floor sent greeting cards and beautiful desserts. The chef came to bless me kindly, gentle and decent. Please experience the hotel's cruise ship. 3,600 yen per person is very worthwhile. It takes 45 minutes to visit Ago Bay. The memorial hall of the G7 meeting is a few minutes away from the building next door, and the car can be sent there at any time. In addition to good facilities, this hotel can host high-level meetings. More importantly, there is a perfect service team here. Everything is great. Staying for one night is unsatisfactory. 11 is the commemoration of Yamazaki Toyoko's stay in ”White Tower” that I like. I recommend the French restaurant on the 5th floor, which has a better view and the dishes taste great. I had breakfast at the Japanese restaurant on the 4th floor, but the view was a little worse and the taste was a little salty."

GGuest UserI have two feelings about this stay. 1. The photo posted by this website was a lie - the room was very different to the reality. For a start there was no in room onsen and that had been a major factor in me making this booking. I was really disappointed on arrival. 2. However it has to be said the staff are fabulous, the food excellent and everything about the place shows a tremendous attention to detail. After a lovely long soak in the Onsen available to guests and a fabulous dinner my mood was quite recovered. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for someone looking for a luxurious retreat and plan to return myself.

GGuest UserIt was very comfortable! The room was fashionable and the best! It was not enough for one night, and it was the best inn I would like to stay again ⭐︎ 2 There is a regrettable place 1 Two is that the bath is small 2 The wall was rough and the child was injured on the wall of the bedroom. I thought that wall was very dangerous if I had a small child... I wish I could be careful, but it's fun and the children are so funny that I can't take my eyes off. 〜 laughter

YYuantianmiaoziFamily 4 There aren't many inns where people can stay in one room, but she prepared my mother's cot, and the room was made into a large room with 2 room. Thank you very much. The facility itself is certainly old. However, since it is a hotel with sufficient ingenuity and service to spend the room comfortably, I think it is a comfortable accommodation. There is no big problem with taking parents who are old and have difficulty walking. Mr. Nakai? However, it was a hotel with a warm impression that served me hard.
