Breakfast wasn’t good for me as I eat halal food most of it is pork (I was good on egg on toast and a cuppa). Near hotel there are markets 7 11, barber/hair salons, and massage parlours. "The room was spacious, and the service was absolutely amazing, truly surprising me with such professional service in Thailand! The shower water was too hot, and no matter how I adjusted it, it wouldn't cool down, so I had to ask the front desk to send someone to check it. Within 5 minutes, someone arrived. Even before I opened the door, he had already taken off his shoes, standing only in socks, hands pressed together in a 'Sawadee ka' greeting. He respectfully walked to the shower room, knelt on both knees, then shifted to a single-knee stance to reach the showerhead. Along the way, he turned to open the sink faucet, then turned back, continuing his kneeling operation for three minutes until the water finally cooled down. He performed the entire process while kneeling. No wonder this Holiday Inn, which opened in 2017, still looks brand new."

"The breakfast was quite fresh! Hotels in Thailand can vary greatly, and prices are often adjusted haphazardly. You really need to compare different platforms frequently. You'll soon spot unreliable platforms that gouge prices by comparing a few times. This hotel isn't great value for money. Be careful when you go out, as there are many stray dogs nearby."

GGuest UserThe taxi from the pier cost 250 baht. The beach right in front of the hotel is fantastic, and the male attendant who manages the towels was really good – he's the reason I gave the last 100 baht as a tip. His enthusiasm also led us to book a night squid fishing trip for 9 people.
However, all the staff here seem to have two different attitudes: one for Western guests and another for Chinese guests. While everyone else managed basic politeness, the female server in the restaurant (pictured in photo 2) was incredibly rude to us. This is my fifth time vacationing in Thailand, and I've also traveled to the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Mauritius, the Maldives, and Hamilton Island, but this is honestly the first time I've encountered a staff member so rude. She pointed her finger at me and loudly demanded that I push the water bottle from the middle of the table to against the wall. I was completely stunned.
Upon check-in, they asked for 500 baht per night for an extra bed for our 6-year-old. Since the three of us could comfortably share the king-sized bed, we declined and only paid for the child's breakfast, which was 200 baht per day.
One evening, we also encountered teenagers on the beach who were indiscriminately bullying kids playing there. I never even saw something like this in Australia, yet it happened on Koh Samet. Thankfully, my English speaking skills are decent, and after a big argument, he ended up yelling that he was going to call the police.
Overall, I still wouldn't recommend booking a hotel here. The pricing attracts a certain type of clientele, and since there are many very cheap hotels nearby, the beach attracts all sorts of tourists.

From the ao prao pier to kho Samet, the boat ride was smooth and when we got there, unfortunately our rooms were not ready but changed in the toilet and was able to enjoy the beach and pool while we waited.
Walking distance to the down town where lots of restaurants.
Hotel's restaurant was good. Delicious breakfast with many choices of bread, cheese, fruits and hot dishes. Everything was quite tasty. Dinner at the beach club Winnks was good, too.Live band performance, on site fire show. Foods were good and drinks were amazing.
Maybe it is because of the season we traveled but the waves were quite strong and water did not seem clear.
I have been to ao prao beach before and I believe for a family with small children, I recommend there.
If you are group of friends looking for excitement, maybe here is better.

SSunny_PeaceThe actual place is even better than the photos! The location is great, and the hotel has everything you need. You barely have to move – there's a supermarket, bar, and restaurant all within 50 meters, covering your basic needs. You can also take a songthaew (local shared taxi) to other beaches for dining, and the main street offers plenty of choices too. The room looks just like the picture; I recommend booking a beachfront room as the price isn't much higher than the rooms further back. If you're sensitive to noise, you might prefer a room further back, as the beach bars can play music quite late into the evening. Breakfast doesn't have a huge variety but includes congee and preserved vegetables, which is great for a Chinese palate. Just be mindful of your boat schedule for the return trip. Overall, it was a good experience. We've been to many islands like Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Samui, and the kids said they'd definitely come back here!

XXiaoyezi：：This newly opened hotel is, in my opinion, one of the best on Koh Samet. Most places on the island are typically guesthouses, regardless of their star rating, but this one actually feels like a proper hotel. The towels are very thick, amenities are provided, and there's even a laundry bag. The toilet is Kohler, the TV is TCL, and the room is spacious and, surprisingly, very clean. The only minor downsides might be the slightly low water pressure and the somewhat noisy air conditioning, but these are small issues in an otherwise great stay. It has its own quiet beach, and I'm very satisfied with everything. It's been a long time since I've stayed in a hotel I've been this happy with. Of course, I'm comparing it to the older, often overpriced guesthouses on the island – this hotel is an absolute gem! The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast is a buffet, which is quite extensive for a hotel of this size. If it's priced at 600-700 baht, it's an incredibly good deal for this island!

GGuest UserService: First off, a huge shout-out to the service! Our trip was a bit rushed, and all the rooms were booked up. We originally wanted to stay for three nights, but the middle night was Valentine's Day, and it was so popular that we couldn't get a reservation. I thought it would be easy to find another hotel, but there was nothing available. A guy at the front desk named James was an absolute lifesaver! From the moment I asked him, he not only helped coordinate rooms at their own hotel but, more importantly, he continuously helped me contact other hotels and made reservations for us without hesitation. Otherwise, we would have been sleeping on the streets! There was also a lovely lady at the front desk who was incredibly helpful. A big thank you to both of them.
Environment: I absolutely loved the hotel's environment! The beach is right there, connected to the hotel. It's not a sandy beach, but the best part is that you can go clamming and crabbing there – we found moon snails, bullseye snails, turret snails, and even various sea cucumbers and crabs! It's perfect for families with kids.
Facilities: The hotel seems to have been newly renovated and it's done really well. Everything is very new, so there's no hesitation about staying here. The breakfast was also good.
If we ever come back to Koh Samet, we will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again!

SSunéKWe had such a lovely stay at The Salil Hotel Sukhumvit 57 – Thonglor and would absolutely come back again.
The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Thonglor, close to great restaurants, cafes, and nightlife, but still peaceful enough to relax properly. It made getting around Bangkok very easy.
The hotel itself is beautiful, well maintained, and everything was spotless. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, which made our stay feel effortless.
Breakfast was definitely a highlight. There was a great variety of options, fresh ingredients, and something for every mood. It was the perfect way to start each day.
Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and always helpful. From check in to check out, they made us feel welcome and taken care of.
Overall, such a great experience. Comfortable, convenient, and genuinely enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

We are very familiar with island life in Thailand and appreciate that some things just don’t work as well.
The location of Malibu Samed Resort is gorgeous, it’s more or less situated on the beach of the small quaint Wong Duean Bay.
There are several beach restaurants available, the vibe is chilled, without the drinking or ******** culture. It’s lovely.
Our welcome was warm, the staff were great and happy to help with our luggage.
Our room is small 16 m² with 2 single beds, some hanging and storage space.
It has a rustic feel to it. There is a fridge which is always welcome, tea and coffee making facilities, which we always appreciate, as well as a safety deposit box & flat screen TV.
The bed and pillow are comfortable but not sumptuous.
Towels are provided and I would say are of typical island quality.
However the shower was an issue, obviously water is limited on the island and taking a hot shower was challenging but actually having a good supply of water either in the evening or morning was very hit and miss. Missed more often, it gets frustrating when you can’t have an adequate shower, that’s one of the reasons we move about frequently.
Breakfast is of limited quality but there are a variety of options including cereal, hot food both western & Thai.
Toast cereal and tea & coffee.
The pool area was hardly used during our stay so a nice quiet retreat from the beach was available.

GGuest UserThis hotel gave me a very mixed impression. It's located right on the beach, and the only access is from the beach itself. You'll have to carry your luggage across the sand (though the hotel does have porters if you ask at the front desk). We didn't know this when we checked in, as this detail wasn't in the hotel description. We arrived in the evening and had to drag a huge suitcase 15 meters across the sandy beach in sneakers, dodging people dining at tables. Our room was booked for the 1st floor (booking photo attached), but we were assigned a corner room on the 3rd floor. We spent the next three days trying to sort it out with the hotel. They admitted their mistake and promised to move us, but never did, even though 1st-floor rooms were available during our stay. In room 31B, the Wi-Fi signal was completely non-existent. I had to go out onto the balcony every time and stretch my arm with my phone towards the pool. The internet on the beach also worked poorly. The Wi-Fi was only good by the pool. The TV in our room also didn't work.
However, this was probably one of the few rooms in the hotel where you didn't need to draw the curtains, as the balcony view was of a wall (most rooms have glass windows and face each other). The hotel has a restaurant with some tables right on the beach; the menu is quite extensive, and the prices aren't inflated. The beach is nice, and the sea is magnificent. Breakfasts were good, with a wide selection, and the room was cleaned daily, with water provided. There's a pier about 15 meters from the hotel, and you can arrive and depart directly from there (300 baht per person). Near the hotel, there's a small shop, several restaurants along the beach, and bike rentals available. The reception can also call a tuk-tuk for you. On weekends, the reception and restaurant were open until 11 PM, and on weekdays until 9-10 PM.

The hotel itself is in a relatively quiet spot, and I say 'relatively quiet' because it's surrounded by lush vegetation. Many birds start their dawn chorus early in the morning, which is actually lovely – waking up to the sounds of different birds is quite nice. The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms aren't large, but they do clean upon request. The rooms have everything you need for a short stay. We really enjoyed it, though our noisy neighbors who were playing loud music and singing spoiled it a little. However, the hotel staff quickly quieted them down by asking them to keep it down.
