This is a strange review because I didn't actually stay there. I've been on a budget and am just starting a new job who had a new employee conference in Jacksonville. I snagged the room on ******* because of the great price (non-refundable). I am unfamiliar with the area so I figured it was as good a place as any...
Afterward, I thought I would check out the reviews- What I read was horrifying! When I reluctantly showed the reviews to my fiance, he went straight to Walmart and bought me a knife and pepper spray before he would let me stay there. Even after that, he begged me to just take the monetary loss and stay somewhere else. Even though I hate to waste money, I decided he was right and I booked another room somewhere else.
It turns out this was definitely the right decision. When I told this story to the Jacksonville people at the conference- they all had their own horror stories to back up all of those dreadful reviews.
So, my one star rating is because the Scottish Inn's reputation was so horrible that I wound up paying for another place to stay in addition to the money I already lost by booking with them in the first place.Of course, this wound up costing me way more than I can afford. Still, I don't regret my decision.
