Casa 1800 Cerro Verde

Rooms are very spacious and well appointed. Large patio with comfortable seating and amazing views of the volcano. Bed is super comfy (pillows, not so great). Had lunch at the restaurant, cheap and delicious.

I booked this hotel to climb the volcanoes. There is basically no entry/exit from the park from 8pm till 8am, therefore it is extremely inconvenient to climb the volcanoes. I wanted to do a sunrise hike to Santa Ana. The hotel was kind enough to connect with me with a guide. I told the front desk various times I will leave around 3:50am for the sunrise hike and also left a to-go box in front desk fridge. I woke up at 3:30am, got my coffee, picked up my to-go-box from the front-desk and started driving to the trailhead where the guide wanted me to arrive at 4am... Only to learn that I cannot even exit the park until 8am, as the gates were closed. Unfortunately, the staff not telling me I cannot leave until 8am and also not having this information displayed in ******* (as of Feb 18th) lead to a very subpar experience for me. Not sure what happens if one needs to catch a morning flight or has an emergency health issue. You are basically stuck in the park between 8pm and 8am.

This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The rooms are fantastic, comfortable, clean. The bedding is perfect and allows a magnificent rest. The space is open, elegant, and the staff is always attentive, polite and knowledgeable. The views from the terrace are breathtaking, the food is excellent, the ambiance is romantic. My only regret is having stayed too few days. One recommendation is to offer a choice between an alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink upon arrival. The only availability of a frozen drink was too limited. I would also offer sweaters in the boutique store. They’d sell like hot cakes instantly. I hope to be back!

The property is stunning. It is clean and the views of the volcano are incredible! Absolutely breathtaking. Restaurant is beautiful. Staff great. Our waiter Francisco was so helpful and knowledgeable. This hotel is a must when in El Salvador .

The hotel was but had problems with lack of shower water and hot water. Also delayed restaurant dinner service. Waited 1 hour to get the menu and the order didn't arrive with all items. Not the waiters fault it was lack of staff. Full restaurant with 3 waiters who tried their best. Management didn't care about the bad service. Also the food was serviced room temperatur on a previos night. Sad because experience was better a year ago.

The views are gorgeous. The beds were amazing with the softest sheets I have ever experienced in a hotel. Like many places in El Salvador the hot water was limited. It is definitely cooler in the higher elevation so dress accordingly.

This was a beautiful location. I enjoyed eating at the restaurant. From the restaurant you can see the volcano. I also stayed in the volcano view, it wasn’t nothing special. It is a very boring location to stay at. There’s no entertainment at all. This place would be so much better if they had a hot tub, it gets really cold there. I would recommend eating there and visiting for a day. It’s definitely not worth staying at this location. Save yourself some money and stay at a place that has more entertainment and doesn’t have as many fees. Food is alright. Nothing special like I said. I can get better food at some locals place then here

I had a baby stroller, a backpack and two heavy handbags (carrying for my wife and toddler). During check in, the bellboy didn’t even bother to help me with the bags when walking us to our room. The room floor and the bed had dead bugs (not tiny bugs, some big spiders and a wasp). For the price of this room, I’m disappointed it didn’t offer amenities like toothbrushes or hairdryer.

We liked the wonderful views and quietness. At times it seemed the restaurant may have been slightly understaffed but the food was good.
