Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima Reviews

The location is very handy, close to the mall and transportation spot

It locates near the bus terminal and Kagoshima Chuo Station, there is a Lawson at G/F. Airport bus can stop at the entrance of the hotel. It is very convenient for travelers. The room is cozy but not very spacious, though it is a good choice for short stay for several nights.

Location is excellent, near JR station and airport shuttle bus just downstairs. Room is decent for solo traveler, Japanese size.

Great location just right in front of the station. It’s well connected with underpass you can walk to the hotel fully shelter even when raining.

Very convenient location. Food provided for breakfast is enough but suggested to change some varieties.

The hotel was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also good.

A nice stay in Solaria Hotel

Stayed 2 nights in end Jan 2023. Hotel is located directly across the Kagoshima Chuo Station which is convenient if you need to take the train early morning, or explore the other area, as the bus and tram line is nearby as well.  You can access the hotel via the round link from the station on the 2nd floor and cross a road at the end of the link or via the underground basement beside the shopping mall next to the station on level 1, completely sheltered. There is a nice food place at the basement of the hotel and a mart just beside the hotel on level 1. The reception is on the 7th floor where you can get toiletries like cleansing gel,  razor, comb, cotton bud, etc. Check in was fast and simple, though check in time is fixed at 3 pm.  Staff were friendly. Hotel is clean and well maintained.  Rooms were reasonably big for hotels in Japan. Bathroom have separate shower and tub area.  Good view of the ferries wheel across my room.  Bed was comfy, sleeping robe provided. Safe deposit box not working though. Wifi is reasonably good.  Would consider staying again if coming to this area.

From the hotel's rooms facing the Sakurajima volcano, you can watch the sunrise starting at 0430 in the morning (in May). The location is good, there is a convenience store on 1/F, and there are many restaurants on basement B1. The 1/F of the Kansai Hotel Building is the Kagoshima Chuo Bus Station, which is very convenient for traveling to and from the airport. Opposite is Kagoshima Chuo Train Station and shopping mall. The only dissatisfaction this time is that trip.com has a system error. The Chinese version of the hotel voucher says "smoking" room, but the Japanese version says "non-smoking"! ! ! Therefore, when I checked into the room, I had many communication problems with the hotel’s foreign employees!
