Ohmachi Junxion

The pictures are not consistent with reality. The family suite I booked was the same in the pictures, but when I checked it out, it was the same again. The room is divided into two floors and is very small. Only the first floor has air conditioning, but not the second floor. The bed is also very small. It is said to be able to accommodate two people, but it is actually very crowded. We went there in the summer and there is no air conditioning. It is impossible for two people to sleep on it. Moreover, the room is very damp and musty. It is on the first floor. There is a sink next to the bed, which is very unreasonable and the price is very high, more than 1,000 per night. We looked at it and left that night. We didn't stay, and we couldn't stay here at all.

I stayed in a dormitory. On the second night, a family was in the bunk bed next to me, but it was a little noisy, although it can't be helped because there were children there. I wish they would be a little more considerate of the noise, such as putting up soundproofing sheets on the walls. But I was hoping for a homemade feel and a small bed, so I was happy with the stay itself. It was fun.

It's very convenient, being close to Komachi-dori. There is a paid parking lot next door, but there was no repeat fee, so I parked a few meters away. The family room is on the second floor, up the outside stairs. The toilet and bath are separate, but it is clean and can be used safely by families. There is a laundry room on site, but there is only one machine, so you can't use it unless the time is right. Also, since it is a household washing machine, it takes a long time to dry. Still, it is appreciated, as there are no coin laundry in Kamakura. Breakfast includes cereal (there was granola and CHOCO flavor) and coffee or tea. It is also close to the station, so it is perfect for sightseeing in Kamakura. If you don't mind the separate bathroom and toilet, I don't think you can find anything else in Kamakura at this price. There is also a traditional public bath called Shimizu-yu nearby (500 yen for adults), and there are bakeries, crepe shops, butchers, etc., so it is perfect for eating on the go!

We stayed in a family room, and the staff were very friendly. I was a bit worried about the black caps that were placed in a few places, but they didn't appear. I guess it was just to be on the safe side. There was a parking lot right in front of the hotel, so we were able to park. We were able to walk to Komachi-dori. The only thing that I found a little inconvenient was that, in American style, you have to walk on the floor in shoes. I had a child with me, so we ended up going down to the floor barefoot, which bothered me. I think it would be better if they provided disposable slippers or something. Or I wish they would make it clearer that we should bring our own. I'm sorry if it was written somewhere and I missed it. Also, maybe it was just my imagination, but the dish rack seemed a little dusty and not cleaned. We didn't use it, so it wasn't a problem. Overall, it was good that we could stay cheaply in this location and the staff was nice.

It was cheap. The staff was very friendly and fun.
