Salmon Falls Resort

We just got home from our stay at Salmon Falls Resort and this is a trip we will talk about for years to come! The lodge and location are beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfy. All the staff were beyond welcoming. We were this first guests of the year and we were SPOILED! Evan took such good care of us! From food and drink service to information he was fantastic! Maria the chef made us the most delicious and beautiful meals. Made sure you ask Hunter at the bar to make you a amaretto sour! Molly, Ellie and Kelly made sure our trip was everything we wanted. I hope you get to fish with Captain Sam! We had the best day. Caught halibut, cod and a rockfish. We will be back for sure!

Salmon Falls was a bucket list experience! Our stay was Friday - Monday and we participated in the full day fishing excursion on both Saturday and Sunday. The full fishing day is 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with a max of 4 people on the boat. The first day we were lucky enough to have the boat to just us (2). The resort provides a box lunch (which included choices such as a charcuterie platter and high end sandwiches) and you are permitted to purchase alcohol, wine, or beer to bring on the boat as well. The boat captain and guide (Captain Mike and Brent) were amazing. They provided everything we needed in regards to gear, instruction, and patience so that we were able to catch a LOT of fish to bring home. The prep team fillets all of the fish and individually packages the fillets all labeled and boxed to take on the plane. The food at the resort was really good. We had the all inclusive package and the portions are really large. The staff was amazing. Shout outs to Kelly in the reservation office, Molly and Milana in the resort gift shop, and Erik, Joseph, Shay, and Galin in the dining room. The weather was beautiful and the resort is very picturesque. What a beautiful backdrop to an unforgettable experience. On the last day before we left, we did the half day Zodiac boat tour and got to follow a group of three humpback whales (including baby) for a time. Add bald eagle flyovers frequently and it's quite the experience. Finally, our flight was cancelled on the way back and rebooked for the next day. I called Kelly at Salmon Falls and she immediately arranged for the driver to pick us (and our fish) back up and take us to their sister resort, The Ketch Inn, for the evening and get our fish back in the freezer overnight. The service was unforgettable and we will definitely go back!

One of the most beautiful settings on earth! This is the place to go if you want to experience Alaska with your wife! I wanted a place that combined all the things she likes: people who love life, ambiance, beauty, scenery, wildlife, ocean, fine dining (incredible, really!), great fishing (for me!), and it had to be romantic. Congrats, this place checked them all and then some!

Great location, great friendly staff, great fishing boats and opportunities for other adventures. All inclusive rate with breakfast, lunch and dinner, location right next to waterfall with tons of salmon and bald eagles and bears.

We had an amazing experience with Captain Derrek on our salmon/halibut fishing trip. His expertise and knowledge of the immense area was exceptional. He took us to the best spots, and each day we had a fantastic catch. Captain Derrek’s friendly and patient demeanor made the trip even more enjoyable. I highly recommend him for an unforgettable fishing experience.

We had an amazing stay everything was clean the restaurant was 5 star servers were accommodating made a really good recommendations. Staff in the office was extremely patient and knowledgeable they set us up with some amazing excursions would definitely recommend the E bike/hike and the zodiac raft with Zack and Logan

This resort is set within an incredible piece of Alaska, a waterfall where you can watch a bear come out of the woods to catch a fish for dinner in the stream below the waterfall! A splendid view from the deck of the outside patios, water, trees, whales, dolphins, eagles, yes, and seagulls. The resort has outstanding food under the guidance of Chef Brad and his skilled staff, the restaurant has the same breathtaking views while being served by the professional and friendly wait staff! The rooms are rustic in décor yet nicely appointed, comfortable beds and bedding. The five of us had a wonderful stay and will go back next summer.

Excellent experience with fishing and float plane ride. We could not have asked for better resort stay and out boat captain was excellent with our fishing trip, we limited out very quickly and had a fun time.

Except Ketchiken doesn’t have a lot of crowd even when the big liners are in. You might want to stay in the town for convenience. So they offer to drop and pick you up from airport, downtowns and trails which is very nice. The resort is basic, functional and clean with gorgeous unspoiled views. The rooms sorely need updating esp the bathroom. The lower floors can be a bit stifling which is where we were given a room due to the inability to open windows as it overlooks the busiest part of the resort. Avoid those if you can. The food is decent but the town has much better options. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and thats a plus.
