Set in a quiet location against turquoise waters and a sandy beach, we enjoyed our stay so much we extended our stay twice and ended up staying nine days instead of three. We stayed in one of the basic beachfront bungalows (bungalow 1). There is a fan, no air-conditioning, but a cooling breeze blows from the sea 90% of the time. There is no hot water, but after a warm day out snorkelling even a cool shower is very welcome. The included (free) breakfast is a choice of tea/coffee, fruit, juice and either toast with either margarine and jam or toast with eggs. There is also an excellent Burmese/Thai restaurant (Forever Restaurant) at the hill, just opposite the entrance to Pitiusas. Snorkelling masks and beach towels were loaned to us for free and there are plenty of colourful fish in the coral just off the beach. The same breeze that brings cooling relief unfortunately also carries a lot of plastic rubbish in from the sea. However, the resort owners clean all the litter from the beach each day, so that’s a net positive for the resort and it’s owners. From the main town Walking Street area Pitiusas can be reached by a short 100 Baht sidecar-taxi ride, or if you’re not carrying luggage then it’s a pleasant 20 minute walk to the end of Pattya beach and then a short road over the hill to the other side of the Isaland. I wouldn’t recommend walking the interior road along the island as it’s quite unattractive.

We chose the restaurant to start our four week holiday in Thailand. After our arrival we had to take a taxi there. The taxi stopped at the top of the hill and we had to walk down the steep hill with our backpacks. The first thing we learned in the resort was that there was only breakfast and no other food. And was recommended to visit the neighboring restaurants or to have the delivery service come. The delivery service would of course have involved a lot of waste. Already on the first evening we had to scramble back up the mountain to have dinner in one of the expensive neighboring resorts. Alternatively, we could have taken a taxi to town for 50 baht per person. After two days we asked the manager if we could shorten our vacation. She first had to consult with the Spanish financier. Since it was difficult for her to reach him, she didn't let us know until two days later. If we had left the same day, we would have gotten 1900 baht back. At this point it should be noted that we paid 1350 baht per day. Breakfast was included in the price. This consisted of a slice and a half, toast, two eggs, butter, coffee or tea, half a slice of p*****, a small sausage, a very small fruit salad and a sip of orange juice. The described wellness area was not available. The bungalows were made of wood and only had the most necessary interior. Was showered with cold water. The internet didn't reach the room. The restaurant terrace was rotten, there was no elevator as per the description.

We stayed 3 nights on our Thailand tour on Ko Lipe. The Pitiusas only had 5 guests with us & unfortunately we heard "no have" quite often. It needs a lot of renovation/painting/renewal. It's hard to find a chair that isn't broken - I hope they do something about it. There were no umbrellas. However, a hill with shady trees. Actually it is in a great little bay with an offshore reef - black/grey - nothing colorful coral - but there are fish. You could also get a kayak. Plastic is now floating everywhere - no matter where you are. You can choose 2 breakfast options. It's enough for us. The drinks & the food are expensive compared to the small town. If you go up the hill from the hotel, there is a small restaurant with a very friendly and hard-working older couple. The food is delicious. We recommend. So we ate 1x in Pitiusa (was also very good) & 2x across the street.

We spent 5 nights at the Pitiusas hotel. It is a small hotel away from the hustle and bustle and large resorts of the city center, on a small private beach on the Sunset Beach side. We were the only guests at the hotel for the 5 days. The hotel is run by a family with children who live on site. regarding the bungalows We slept in bungalows with sea view with fan for 1360 bats per night. The bungalows are very simple but correct, however the bathroom toilet is unsanitary, dirty, full of midges. The toilets do not work despite having warned the owner, nothing was done. We had to remove the toilet lid to flush the toilet. What was supposed to happen happened, the earthenware fell to the ground and broke. While picking up the pieces we came across remains of excrement behind the toilets 🤢 The earthenware had been changed for an unsuitable model, it was impossible to flush the toilet... and above all pieces of earthenware had been left on the floor , I almost cut my foot. I ended up cleaning it myself. regarding the restaurant The breakfast is mediocre (cold toasted sandwich bread, orange juice with a chemical taste and single-dose jam, portion of fresh fruit) and curiously the quantities have reduced as the days go by. The last day there was no more jam and almost no more fruit. We found it curious that this was not anticipated knowing that we were the only guests and that the duration of the stay was defined. The manager is friendly but the service in the restaurant is provided by her daughter. Communication is impossible, she doesn't speak a word of English, and above all she is unpleasant. We are in complete amateurism, she puts her fingers in the glasses before giving them to us, carelessly places the plates... Too bad because, apart from breakfast, the food is really good. regarding boat trips We did two days on a boat with the manager, everything went perfectly. We had the boat to ourselves and the captain organized the trip according to our wishes and the crowds on the different stages. We still had to ask that he not kill the fish caught on the boat in front of us. regarding the hotel in general The setting is magnificent unfortunately the maintenance leaves something to be desired. Garbage litters the ground (plastic bottles, fishing equipment, a motor on the beach, etc.), remnants of unusable hammocks are still hanging from the trees. A broken exterior shower remains on the terrace. Some of the terrace slats are broken and some wooden steps are shaky. The mattresses have holes, the tables and chairs are broken, the terrace has not been swept. Bad smells arise at times when we are sitting on the terrace. Kayaks are available but the paddles are broken and missing
